Good food, cheap beer and peppy ambiance what else is needed. Food is great here. I have tried multiple items on the menu and they have been in the range of above average to delicious.

Three of us tried this out while in town for a music festival. Large menu of sandwiches, burgers, grilled sandwiches, salads, etc. Something for everyone. Nothing fancy, but very good food, great service, comfortable vibe. Nice menu of beers, including three selections of one of my favorites: Sam Smith. You won’t be sorry if you decide to dine here.

This place is barely adequate. It was very dirty. There were cobwebs and dust on windowsills and greasy tables. The food is fair pub fare. My jerk chicken tasted like jerk sauce poured from a bottle and not cooked into the chicken. The menu is basic and uninspired. This may be a factor of the town it is in. Oberlin is a small college town. Perhaps there isn’t sufficient public for a good restaurant in this town.

We come here often visiting our son. Great vibe, tasty food and nice beer selection. Often crowded but the upstairs is a good option for food and drink. Highly recommended.

I went there for brunch with a friend. The food was great and the drinks were even better. The atmosphere was very hip and eclectic. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I would definitely refer this to anyone who will be in Oberlin area.

great lunch today, though very filling. i was feeling it all afternoon. i had a delicious New Yorker burger w/fries and Danielle had the O.T. we also shared a veggie plate with hummus, falafel, cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes w. pita wedges. while this place is not right around the corner we’ll probably go back w/friends.

Our family loves this restaurant. We drive across I-80 in Ohio, and we have started timing our trips so that we can stop for lunch at the Feve on all of our trips. The breakfast burger is especially tasty, and everything on the weekend brunch menu is also spectacular. The restaurant is very popular, and the only downside is that there can be a bit of a wait to get a table.

I have not been to The Feve in 20 years, we used to go there in HS when they just had coffee. I have to say it’s Delish! I can see why it’s voted the best Brunch! It’s going to be a must go when I am home visiting. Ps. Green chili sausage and the goat cheese sundried tomato grilled cheese were both fantastic!

Quaint, local eatery in Oberlin, Ohio that screams hip and casual upon walking in. As a Clevelander, Oberlin’s a little bit of a hike but for the few occasions that I am out there I was told the Feve was THE place to go. How right that person was. After two visits within the year, I must say I have yet to be disappointed. Between the bustling atmosphere and high-energy staff, I felt that the servers do a pretty good job on staying on top of things. Though there were a few instances where drinks could have been refilled, it did not take away from my admiration for the interior, all the way from the copper bar top, to the beautiful ceilings. During both occasions, I ordered burgers. At my most recent visit, I ordered the Wellington burger with bacon along with a side of tator tots. The chipotle mayo married the bacon and muenster cheese perfectly. I felt that I was indulging in a little piece of heaven with each bite. And how can you go wrong with tator tots?! They are the most underrated potato ever! Overall, I am a huge fan of the Feve and for anyone in the Oberlin area, I highly recommend checking it out.

Boy do I miss The Feve. One of the best bars you’ll find. Josh and Dan are great bartenders and they always have a great selection of beers on tap. Can’t beat $ 4 Long Islands on Thursdays, too. The food isn’t my favorite, but the regular menu is more than enough to satisfy most cravings. Their brunch menu also changes every week and there’s almost always something there for everyone. Definitely recommend! A must stop for anyone passing through Oberlin.

Came with the family for lunch. Had to wait about 30 minutes, and luckily the weather was nice because there is absolutely no waiting area inside the restaurant. I loved the selection of seasonings and dipping sauces for the fries/tots, but was a little put off by the charging scheme. I feel like most other places I’ve been to that offer a large variety of condiments usually don’t charge for them, so in comparison it felt like The Feve was nickel-and-diming me for loving condiments. While I was super excited to find the avocado melt on the menu — it sounds like close to an ideal sandwich for me — I was not as satisfied with the actual thing. It was kind of bland/boring. Luckily I had purchased several fry sauces that I could use to spice it up. Speaking of the fries, I thought they were awful, but I am generally not in favor of the skinny/shoestring type. I’d almost always prefer fries to tots, but if I ever ate here again I’d definitely get the tots. My husband said his burger was quite good, and our server was friendly and attentive as well. Definitely not«good for kids,» or at least small ones. The bathrooms are down steep stairs with no changing facilities, and the dining area is way overcrowded with tables so it’s very difficult to get to your seat without bumping someone’s head with your diaper bag. Overall I’d say that while I wouldn’t be opposed to eating here again, I probably wouldn’t seek it out either.

We took a spontaneous adventure to Oberlin one afternoon… we asked about three people for a good recommendation and by unanimous vote we arrived at THEFEVE! I am sure glad that we did. They have a great food and drink menu. I had the crab cake sandwich and it may have been the best I’ve ever had(I am a sucker for crab cakes). My boyfriend had a burger and he said that was really good too. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Oberlin!

One of my favourite places(of all time and anywhere) for burgers. I crave Feve burgers regularly. Even when thousands of miles away. Tots on the side is a classic. And they’ve been doing it way before Napoleon was carrying them around in his fannypack. In fact, he probably got them from the Feve. So yeah, the burgers are amazing. Truly. To say nothing of THEBRUNCH. Feve Brunch is not just a scheduled event or occurrence. It is a gorram Oberlin establishment. One does not simply walk into Oberlin without Feve Brunch. Changing weekly, always delicious. The beer selection is great, drink prices and specials are fantastic(be careful! This was the last location I ever drank Long Islands); just a great bar on top of everything else it has going. Feve is simply the best. Always has been, likely always will be.

I wish I could give this place three and a half stars. I really enjoyed the tater tots with hot sauce and bleu cheese. The sandwiches are okay. Since the area doesn’t have too many restaurants, I think that they don’t focus on having unique vegetarian options other than tofu(maybe seitan? Or tempeh?) or ensuring that everything has a robust flavor. However, it’s a really cute place and the beer selection is nice(and cheap!). If you’re looking for a quick bite and a beer in Oberlin, it’s a good place for sure.

I stopped here for lunch during a bike ride with 4 friends and wow, I’m glad I did! Amazing service, great food, and cheap beer! The inside décor is pretty cool and hip and they have a nice little bar where we all sat. They also have a bigger bar upstairs that opens around dinner time and stays open til 3am or so. It just happened to be happy hour when we got there, so all draft beers were $ 1 off which was nice on top of their already cheap beer prices!(see pic) I had some kind of grapefruit ale(sure, I guess it’s kinda girly) and it was really nice and refreshing after a long bike ride. I ordered the tots with Cajun seasoning and chimichurri dipping sauce and a basket of sauerkraut balls to share. The tots were crispy and delicious, but I wish they were made fresh instead of the frozen school cafeteria-style that we’re all familiar with. At least that’s what they looked like. The sauerkraut balls were really good, but I have to say I like the ones at Hofbräuhaus a little more. For my meal, I had the Cuban with a side salad and it was perfection! They loaded up that sammich, piled high with meat on a toasty ciabatta roll. It was awesome! My friend’s dad ordered the same thing and he enjoyed it very much as well. It was the first time he ever had a Cuban sammich and he says he’ll be ordering it again! It looks like The Feve serves up a mean brunch, so maybe I’ll have to stop by next time and try that out! Nevertheless, we’ll definitely be stopping here the next time we ride the Rail Trail again!

I am a parent who has eaten here at least 10 times. There are a few other good restaurants in Oberlin, but whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night bite, The Feve is always our top choice. EVERYTHING is fresh, flavorful, and fantastic, including both the healthy and the more«indulgent» options. Salads, burgers, grilled sandwiches, creative brunches… There’s a reason you often have to wait for a table. I’ve yet to have a salad here that wasn’t wonderful. Each sandwich is better than the next(the Cubano is better than any you’ve ever had), and brunch may be the best meal of all. Maybe… I suppose the tater tots are the thing, and they are better here than you remember tater tots ever tasting, but if you’re ordering a sandwich, get the fries instead. They are superlative. Seriously.

Oh my Burger! This place has an awesome menu. I ordered The Breakfast Burger and oh boy was it one of the best burgers I have had in a long long time. I actually purposely did not eat all of it in one sitting so that I could have it again the next day! Let’s also talk about the chimichurri sauce they put on that specific burger… YOWZA is it delicious! Make sure you get a side of this sauce for the delicious tator tots that you can order as a side. You can pick 3 sauces for $ 1! What a great way to try new things! I can’t wait to come back and try brunch! One of the waiters was raving about it and told me certain menu items change weekly! This is definitely a place you want to check out!

GREATBRUNCH We stopped in Black River Café for brunch. We were promptly seated & then completely ignored for 15+ minutes. So we did them a favor: we got up and went across the street to The Feve. It was a good decision. We actually ordered fairly plain breakfasts(i.e., eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, etc), but everything was just perfect, as was the friendly service. The prices were most reasonable as well.

My company is doing work at Oberlin College and the first time I visited, I was amazed at how nice the downtown area was and the interesting named restaurants that were there. I had the intention of eating at the Asian fusion place but the place had higher reviews so I decided to stop here in my way back to the office. The place nice and the service was good. The food was even better. I didn’t get too fancy but I ordered the Cuban Burger. Don’t recall all that was on it but it was delicious. I added avocado to it and a side of onion rings. Upon receiving my food, I was a bit disappointed at the amount rings that was served. I don’t think they batter them there either. As it turned out though, I couldn’t even finish the rings after my burger so it’s not a deal breaker. The burger was amazing. I’ve had Michael Symon’s favorite burger at in Kent and I think this one was way better. I remember it had dry rubbed pull pork on it along with something else. It certainly pleased the taste buds. Wasn’t too greasy and was manageable to eat. I wish I lived closer to try more stuff off their menu. It’s about an hour and a half drive for me since I’m coming from Akron. I wanted a alcoholic drink so bad too. Maybe next time!
