Azulene Day Spa

Today I had Kim give me a $ 43 pedicure. It was fantastic, Kim was friendly and full of smiles. My only complaint was her paint job. After leaving, I was able to see my toes in the day light and she didn’t do the greatest job painting. If I have time tomorrow I will ask them to re-​paint them. If not, oh well.
Nice atmosphere. They only take cash tips (which would have been good to know). Clean tools and relaxing atmosphere. But the chairs are not passed very well, so the massager is quite intense. Enjoy.

Don’t waste your money or time. Brittany cut my hair and was surly with me at best. She and her coworker spent more time insulting me, you read that right — they insulted me over and over again, then mercifully switched to criticizing customers and cowokers alike. The only time she was pleasant was when she rang me up and expected a tip. This is my second trip here and last time I had a different stylist, yet experienced the same treatment. Shame on me for giving them another chance. Learn from my mistakes and find somewhere else.

Pedicures are awesome! Kay and Joan do a great job and are so sweet! Unfortunately the last visit I had for a full set Andy drilled my nails down until they were very thin and red, and then started to make them super short to the point where he had made my skin raw. He had drawn blood on one finger and the rest were burnt by the drill. Nathan did my friends nails and they came out perfect and she said he was very personable. So if you get a full set done I would recommend Nathan! For the most part we’ve had very good experiences when getting pedicures so I didn’t want to give this spa a bad review!

I’ll admit it, I’m a spoiled New Yorker when it comes to mani/​pedis. We have five nail salons on every block and expect the best in terms of price and quality. Came to azulene while home for the holidays. 31 $ for a 15 minute pedicure and a nail tech with a cranky attitude. It was a hassle to touch up the polish that she’d haphazardly thrown on my toes. The pedicure was rushed, subpar, and just a not-​so-​great experience. Pretty salon, though! You’re better off getting a groupon and trying somewhere else…

I was recommended to this salon by a coworker. I was utterly disappointed by my experience. From the time I walked in they wanted to argue with me about what I wanted. If I didn’t need my nails done so badly I would have left. The pedicure was $ 37 and only lasted w0 minutes from beginning to end. I have worn acrylic nails for 20 years and I don’t remember a worse experience. We just moved to Florida and I guess I continue the search for a high quality nail salon.
Very overpriced!

Everyone was very nice and friendly. It was my first time there and it was definitely a great experience. I will be coming back for sure !
Oh and make sure you try the pedi with hot stones. It feels great!

I really enjoy this place. I love the atmosphere and serenity. The services they offer are excellent! It is a bit pricy but worth the occasional indulgence!

Disgusted with the service at this location. It’s over priced and you get the blunt end if one of the front workers is having a bad day.

We went to this nail salon for their advertised $ 38 for mani-​pedi. They no longer honor that price.
My pedi went well, but my manicure (basic, nothing special) was so bad I came home to redo it. The gal at the desk said he had not cleaned them well enough after wax and before painting. They said they would redo, but 3 folks were waiting for me. The only other option was returning within 3 days, but we are from out of town. I ended up paying almost $ 50 for a decent pedicure. The place was soothing and the experience was good except for the bad nails.

I went to this spa with my friend to get our nails done for a wedding.
The place is very nicely decorated and clean.
They offer all services.
All the people doing your nails are Asian, which I thought was funny.
My lady was really nice but she was so fast with my nails! I was done in like 20 mins. and with gel polish is usually takes longer from my past experiences. But she did do a good job. My only complaint is the the line for my french manicure could have been a little thinner, and had she asked before doing it I could have conveyed that.
Other than that it was a good experience.
I usually do my nails on my own and I never like to pay salon prices.
I was out of there with $ 50 less in my wallett, so it is pricey.

With Azulene you get what you pay for, I honestly love their services it is a little pricier than most places here in Ocala but you are getting the whole package here! Love this spa! It’s my go to place and it doesn’t hurt that it’s a 2 min drive from the Apartment! great location :)

very nice place — open on Sundays a plus but you better get there early they get busy quick. Very nice staff & the place is clean. The young lady did a good job — I had the works, mani/​pedi and eyebrow wax. They try and upsell you on everything. I just wanted the gel polish, I have natural nails. I choked a little when I got the final bill. It is expensive but then you get what you pay for. Here is the problem… I went to pay and was told I could not put the tip on the bill and my card!!! REALLY? Cash only tips. Oh they do have an off brand ATM machine in the place, of course you will get charged for using it on both ends. I left and went up the street to my banks ATM. I am sure I burned less gas then the fee that would have been charged. If your that upscale then you should do tips on a card or at least post large signs saying cash tips only!

I am very disappointed with the service at the Ocala SW location. I set a firm appt for today at 2p and arrived on time. I was advised to be seated by the hostess. I advised her that I had a scheduled appt and didn’t have time to wait an extended period. Nonetheless, I waited 20 mins and was never seen nor offered a complimentary beverage on a steaming hot day. I work in the service industry and understand the purpose of good customer service. Not only that but I was advised by two friends that had a bad experience as well, however I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt. Thanks for not living up to the expectation of your mission:

Minus being a bit more expensive then some of the surrounding spas i had a good experience here. I would most definitley reccommend.

Desperate for a massage due to severe lower-​back pre-​natal pain, I called Azulene. They are right outside my apartment complex in Market Square, and I knew they would be open on a Saturday.
I called at 1015 am and asked for a pre-​natal appointment. I was offered an appointment at 11:00 am.
I was taken back at about 11:15 am for my 60 minute ($ 85.00) pre-​natal massage.
My disappointments would be: a) the massage room was small and b) there are pedicure seats right outside the room (which means that I heard a group’s entire conversation all through my massage).
My masseuse was well knowledgeable and did an excellent job, which is the most important part.
I left my massage feeling much better, and was able to sit down an eat lunch without being on the edge of tears in pain. So, the massage did it’s job!
It seems the Day Spa is more centered around pedicures and manicures than being a full day spa, but I have no real complaints (just those who nit-​picky areas mentioned above).
I would certainly return (and most likely will before my due date) due to the convenient hours and location. The staff was all very friendly as well.

I won’t go anywhere else because the staff is so great and you really get what you pay for! Such a wonderful place to go to and relax.
