Great food very good beers available. Service is good. Only think I don’t like is the parking…

I ordered a calzone with spinach and tomato. It was one of the best I’ve had! Lots of flavor and the dough was perfect. It is a rather small restaurant. We had a group of 11 and it was packed in a Saturday afternoon. The owner was very courteous told us he would do his best to get us a table in 20 minutes. We only had to wait about 10. The burgers looked huge! My daughter ordered the ziti and it was delicious. Would definitely stop here if in this area again!

Just traveling through, and we used Unilocal to find something to eat. We stopped in here and ordered the angry orchard burger with the park fries. The food was great! They were very busy and the staff were kicking it. The manager/​owner was checking on the tables too! would stop here again!

Food was delicious! Went with a big group and everyone loves their meals. The burgers are seriously on point! Will definitely come back for more. there was so many great things I would like to try!

Had the «Not your mama’s meatloaf?» What a great meal., More than enough for two! I took home half or more of this huge slab of awesome meatloaf and it was definitely better than mom’s or even grandma’ s meatloaf. Great food and awesome service.

This is such a great neighborhood restaurant. I am glad so many people are supporting a local business. The food is innovative as they continue to have fresh new options on the board. Today I tried the Thai shrimp salad – delicious. The lettuce was crisp and the shrimp were large and tasty. Great food and nice servers=happy customers

Great wings and good burgers. Food and service is slow but if you have an hour to kill it’s a must try.

Food is awesome and service is great! The wait staff is knowledgable, friendly, and very attentive. Would highly recommend! And you can’t beat the unique atmosphere and backyard feel.

1^st time here and it lived up to and exceeded the hype! Tried a little bit of everything and it was all excellent we had the st croix burger and the angry orchid burger, both amazing. The service was outstanding, be sure to ask for Ashley!

Ashley is the BOMB! Very knowledgeable about menu. On her $!#t! Fried cheese-​amazing. Need a bucket more. Angry orchard burger– fantastic. Shrimp n mac– does not disapoint. Just what we needed.

One of my local haunts. Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat beer is a fave along with steak sandwich.

25 minute wait on a Friday evening, with live music by Randy McQuay. We chose to wait after reading all the great recommendations, and it was well worth it. The two girls at the front worked efficiently to get everyone seated as quickly as possible. The server was fast, and the food was fantastic.
The pierogies were a great start, and everything we ordered was delicious. I didn’t care for the shredded mozzarella on the garden salad when I ordered a blue cheese dressing, but a total 5-​star meal nonetheless. Loved the music as well!

Had lunch with @ friend. I ordered the pastrami sandwich and she had the fish wrap.
My pastrami had very little pastrami. My friend really liked her wrap.
The service was excellent and our waiter was very funny and was attentive.
The décor is cute and does remind you of a backyard. We both enjoyed it.
I will come back and give the menu another try because the service was so good and the atmosphere.

There was a short wait but the staff were pleasant.
They were knowledgeable about their beer and had a good selection of craft beers, including the local brewery Infinite Ale Works.
The meatloaf special was spectacular. Succulent meatloaf with bacon, mashed potatoes, two types of gravy, fried onions, and a fried egg on top. It was not my momma’s meatloaf.
Looking forward to my next visit.

Finally got around to stopping in and am very glad of it. It was an enjoyable experience from start to finish.
The place is popular. We came over on Friday and even at 7 PM there was an hour projected wait for a table. So we settled into the surprisingly small bar, were acknowledged by the barkeep and were drinking but a few minutes later. They have a large selection of craft beers; I tried a new one (for me) and didn’t like it. My second selection was fine. The hostess found us no more than 30 minutes later for our table and as I was turning around to ask for the tab, it was already being placed in front of me.
Even with all tables active the entire time we were there, service was friendly, competent and timely. The food itself (we had two dinners, no pizza nor burgers) was fairly creative, certainly a notch above the usual bar fare. No problems there. The dessert selection was kind of thin but the cannoli turned out to be fine. Prices were quite reasonable.
Ambiance is unique, trying to recreate the back yard of a Brooklyn residence. Some have said they failed at that but not being from Brooklyn it looked fine to us. Kitchy and creative. And the live music, two singing guitar players, kept up a stream of 60s through 80s tunes which everybody knows and did an excellent job of it.
Overall, a fun place to which we shall enjoy returning.

Well… This is a tough review to write…
The experience began really well. The greeting and appetizer (Bird House) was great and the service was spot on…
Then things went south… Quickly
The burgers (one ordered medium rare and one well done) both came out beyond well done… Which was OK for me but my nephew (who thankfully is a very laid back guy) was less than thrilled since he wanted his medium rare.
Poor marks on the shrimp and grits too. Way too much like Shrimp Creole (shrimp marinara) on top of grits (not well described on the menu)
Angry Orchard burger was meh at best as was the Backyard Burger. Why would you ram a knife through a handmade bun? Unless you want to be a low rent chain restaurant (who seem to love to ram knives vertically through things) why would you emulate one?
The final insult was meal delivery.
All entrees were delivered except the above mentioned shrimp creole/​marinara and grits. The food runner said, «I’ll be right back with your shrimp and grits.’
«Right back» must mean different things to different people because the runner disappeared and never returned. The food showed up later and missing the corn bread. (Which wasn’t anything special).
$ 90 for 6 entrees not bad cost-​wise but very un-​impressive overall.

Brooklyn’s Backyard is a cool place to go grab a bite (or a beer). I ordered the Mediterranean chicken that came with rice and spinach. It was very good, although a little on the wet side. The pouting appetizer was good too. The table next to us ordered a custom pizza and they said it was excellent. Everything is made to order.
The restaurant has a outdoors feel to it. Most of the tables are set up like you would have in your backyard. If you don’t like comfy outdoor chairs, sit at the bar or out on the front patio.
Don’t forget to finish up your meal with the smores dessert. They give you a little stove on your table to make fresh smores. It’s the best.
They don’t do reservations but they do call ahead seating. It gets busy anytime after 6−7pm.
