For the last year or so the premier events in downtown Ocala have been held here at Citizen’s Circle. It’s a beautiful area that’s always kept clean and the lawn & trees are trimmed. In the summer it’s the sole area where children can run around a splash pad and cool off for a bit. Some of the events held here are craft fairs, music concerts, and annual seasonal events to name a few. You’ll usually see one of the local radio stations at most of the events as well as food trucks and food concessions. Christmas is always a special time with one of many events downtown being held at Citizen’s Circle. As long as the weather holds out there’s always going to be a good sized crowd. The streets are only one way and most of the area is blocked off so there’s not much parking to begin with. Try and look for accessible parking and there’s only 3 spots. Usually 2 are blocked by band’s or vender’s trucks. That’s problematic. Be careful as there’s sometimes temporary thick black fencing that blocks the walkways and is hazardous when just trying to walk around the venue. It also detracts from the beauty of the area but that’s secondary.
