Macy’s

Adelaide helped us find the sheets my aunt needed and was super helpful. Great sense of humor and was simply a delight. Excellent customer service.

I had no idea that Macy’s had stores this small. Being used to the Macy’s in Orlando having so much selection, this looks more like an outlet store. Selection is limited and I shouldn’t be surprised considering this mall looks abandoned.

Wonderful friendly staff.

This is one of the smallest Macy’s I have ever encountered.
Paddock for a long time was the only game in Ocala. Other offering in this Mall, include JC Penny’s and Sears. This Macy’s would be a no brainer against that competition but for the size of the store.
On a square footage basis, I’m sure Macy’s management must be pleased with themselves. But the shortcomings are the limited selection and reduced number of sizes available to customers — Pettit and XXL are all but forgotten.
Nearby Dillard’s feels almost twice as large and has a much, much wider selection in all departments.

Maybe my expectations have been lowered as the small town living seeps in… Things move a little bit slower, and people don’t seem to be as demanding.
So, I guess I should cut them some slack that it’s the holiday season, and they’re one of a handful of stores in what is likely a 40 mile radius that provides ‘higher quality’ products.
But, I“m kind of merciless when it comes to some expectations…
1. Product placement. I circled this store and not ONCE did I see what I was looking for (shoes for children/​men).
2. I was going to buy a Christmas Present for The Fiancé… And it took a minute for someone to come over to the counter to help me. Fine, forgiven, it’s busy. There were no test strips for cologne. Are you kidding me? There’s no help OR test strips? You’re on shaky ground now. The lady that finally came over provided me with test strips. Then she said she was going to help the couple standing behind me and she’d be right back. She walked off, showed them something, and WALKED OFF. I stood there for what seemed like the entire afternoon (in reality, possibly 4 minutes) and she never returned. UNFORGIVABLE!
I walked out. Left. Never to be heard from again.
I hope she works on commission.
