Absolutely love this place! Great atmosphere, perfect for a GNO! Julie and the staff are always wonderful, the cheese tray is to die for, and Julie always has something new in wine for us to try. It’s Ocala best kept secret!

Wonderful. Great to just go and have a glass of wine, listen to the music and maybe grab a little nosh.

Ocala Wine Experience is a great place to hang out, and every time I come to town I make sure to stop by at least once. It has a full wine shop(with tasting) downstairs, an outdoor courtyard, and a café upstairs. On weekends there is live music that is usually pretty good. The food is a little pricey but isn’t bad. The coffee, beer, and wine selection is some of the best in town. The reason I am giving it 3 starts instead of 4 is the hookah experience. For $ 16 you can get a hookah session with $ 2-$ 3 refills. This is a great way to spend an evening and is very cheap for groups. They have 16 flavors and are willing to mix them upon request. However one of the women who works there(possibly the owner?) doesn’t know how to set up a Hookah. She usually puts in room temperature water and asks customers to set up the hookah and light it themselves. If she is working downstairs be prepared to do all the work and ask for ice. If you don’t know how to set up your own Hookah you might want to avoid it here unless someone else is working. She also said she couldn’t split the bill among three people so I had to put it all on my card. Overall, this place is 4 – 5 star quality with the exception of hookah service with one employee. I highly recommend it.

We ate at Harry’s on the square for dinner but didn’t like their dessert selection. So we wandered around until we could find the right place for chocolate decadence. We found The Wine Experience and were not disappointed. The décor is… quarky but adorable. You just have to see it! The waitress was wonderfully sweet and attentive. And the live music was romantic and added to the festive Friday night atmosphere! I got a great glass of red zin and my husband had tawny port and glass of the spiced sangria. He ordered the ice cream with chocolate and truffles and I got the brownie ala mode. I truly can’t remember having such a wonderful dessert. It was soft, warm and gooey with chopped nuts on top. It was so rich and flavorful that I will be dreaming of it until our next visit! We recommend this place highly!

I tried the Wine Tasting Package at this place and was not let down. I learned so much about the wine and experienced so many key notes and flavors that I threw a small wine-tasting party at home the next weekend. A really nice place if you want to lay back and just enjoy a good glass of wine. The food was a bit too pricey for me though.

Found myself back in Ocala this past weekend, a couple friends and I checked this place out(second time for me), as one of them was a wine enthusiast. We opted to do their wine flight… 8 half-glasses of wine for $ 15 and a talk by the wine steward about each of the wines. its type, characteristics and where it was from. Very interesting, and a great deal!
