This is the best restaurant in Ocala, the food is delicious and even more authentic in many regards than some of the highest rated Viet places I frequented while living in little Vietnam in Chicago as well as in other big cities. If you’re not familiar with this kind of food make sure to ask lots of questions! We eat here once or twice a week. My favs are bun bo hue, banh xeo, and any of the rice or noodle platters.

FINALLY! Quality Vietnamese food comes to Ocala. No more having to drive to G’ville for Phở. The menu is varied and includes the classics plus dishes that are unique. I was pleasantly surprised to find culantro being serviced instead of cilantro! Will be returning each time I’m in town. The service was good, parking easy and interior is clean and well lit. Music was nice too. Highly recommend!

Overpriced for Vietnamese food and the quality is not there. If this was a larger city with other Vietnamese restaurants they wouldn’t be able to gouge their prices. Got takeout there one time. Was not impressed with the Phó and had to throw away the summer rolls. The rice paper was old and broke apart and the shrimp had a fishy odor. Not good. Will never go back.

The food was really good. Good for Ocala for having a Phở restaurant. I will go back again when I am in town visiting. Recommend the Phở Thai and Egg Rolls.

Oh my, third time here and why did I wait so long between visits? The phở was perfect. Tender beef, fresh veggies on the side, perfect flavors, and friendly efficient servers. Icing on the cake was owner who came by the table to see how it was, and told us to take our time and enjoy our food.

My second visit confirmed my 4 star rating. On my first visit I had mainly rice dishes, this time I had Phở and sandwiches. Everything was excellent. It is worth the 35 minute drive each way to be served true delicious authentic Vietnamese food. My only two wishes are that they would serve the fried spring rolls with fish sauce for dipping instead of the sweet orange bottle stuff and start to offer daily house specials. There is no décor to write about except for the nice big picture windows. The place is clean and the service is much better than what was described in older Unilocal reviews. This is the only true Vietnamese restaurant in the whole area between Gainesville and Orlando.

This was the best afternoon meal I have had in a long time. Very reasonably priced as well.

I don’t know what it is about a big bowl of Phở that brings a smile to my face. Many options to choose from, and all have been good choices for me. Don’t be afraid to stop in for a bowl, you won’t be disappointed

UPDATEDSECONDVISIT: Raising from 3 stars to 4. The TV in the background has been replaced by soft music. The white shirts have been replaced by tasteful burgundy. And with the owner, Jon, walking around, the improvement was palpable. The setting is stark, but clean. The waiter was friendly, if not terribly attentive(quick greeting, eventual quality check, but didn’t return to drop the check). Note to owners: tight white shirts on the wait staff(without aprons) can be a bad idea as I could see every record of food encounters written across their chests. The café su-da was served already assembled. Deduct a point. The food was prepared quickly and was served hot. I had the winter roll and the #24 vermicelli bowl, with shrimp, pork, and fried egg roll. The roll was crisp and flavorful. The bowl featured good quality shrimp, a crunchy egg roll, and pork that was hit and miss(delightful sauce but lots of grisle). Tldr: mostly tasty, will return

Extremely friendly staff, but the offerings that they serve up leave something to be desired. The broth used as a base in the bowl that I ordered must have been basic beef stock from a local grocery store, as the flavor would tell anyone. The high point of the cuisine were the spring rolls. I am sure that they must have some great things on the menu, its just that I didn’t happen to order any.

I had a nice lunch at Phở Kim Long. I’m new to Vietnamese food. The menu was hard to understand. I think they should put more pictures of the dishes on the menu. It was very good though. I had the beef soup.

Great food. Everything was absolutely delicious. Service was fast and friendly. I was worried because the parking lot was so empty but I was pleasantly surprised. The food tasted great and the presentation was outstanding.

At the recommendation of a friend, we went there with out of town guests just after Christmas. The parking lot was fairly empty so I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant(and restroom) was very clean. This makes me happy. With a group of six, we had many different dishes. The phở is delicious and served with lots of mint, cilantro and bean sprouts. I think my favorite thing on the menu is the Bun vermicelli bowls. It’s very fresh and the dressing is light and so tasty. On another visit, I’ve had Banh Mi with is a little sandwich and I also love their spring rolls with peanut sauce. After having driven by this place for some time, I’m glad we finally stopped in. It is definitely on of our favorites in Ocala.

I was so excited to learn that Viet food was coming to Ocala. No longer would I have to drive to Gainesville or Orlando! After my first visit here that excitement was quickly extinguished. I’ve dined here many times since they opened in June 2015 and not one experience was positive. Everything is wrong and nothing is right. I’m convinced that not one server is familiar with what the definition of a waiter is nor that they’ve ever been a waiter previously. The same with the managers. I’d love to go into detail but the list is very long. They’re also lazy and have zero knowledge of the food let alone how to pronounce the items. The cook has demonstrated on several occasions that he has no experience in the hospitality industry nor what to cook when. Two cases in point: I had had apps served after the entrees when it was obvious that they would take longer to prepare. Also on more than one occasion I have had an entrée served with food in it that wasn’t supposed to be and missing items the were supposed to be in the entrée. On one occasion when I pointed it out the waiter(from the table he was chilling at) shouted over«it’s okay — you just got extra food». On another occasion the waiter actually checked with the cook and informed me one of the items advertised they’ve never carried so he just threw in a bunch of other items instead. Whhhaaat??? Utensils have also been dirty or chipped. Would you be surprised to learn that dogs are allowed inside at the tables? Yeah, unfortunately. One last commentary is that there are more items on the take-out menu then on their regular menu. How are you supposed to know they’re available? Should you have an adversity to MSG be for warned that it is in everything. Current health inspection: 6-high priority, 5-intermediate, 9-basic violations

Love the food here! The summer rolls and phở are excellent. My coworkers and I have made this restaurant a regular in our lunch rotation. It’s my favorite restaurant in Ocala now. The food is so flavorful and you get a lot of food for the money. I am so happy this restaurant opened in Ocala. The only issue is the service and the wait time for food, which is why I gave a four star instead of five.

I’ve been several times with my husband and the quality is always consistent and fresh. Their peanut sauce is the best, got may want to eat it on its own! :) My favorite dish is the veggie fresh roll. It’s simple but so good. I get it to go often!

I had a craving having not eaten phở in about 5 years so I drove an hour there and back. I got excellent phở and enjoyed the atmosphere very much. I talked to someone who works there and he was extremely polite and friendly. A good place to find authentic Vietnamese food.

I am Vietnamese and a native of northern CA where amazing Asian food are in abundance… so moving to Gainesville FL has been a cultural shock… but while driving past Ocala, I found this not-so-hidden gem. I am giving them my first Unilocal review because the food was fantastic, as authentic as you can get in this part of the state. So far, one of the best VN place between here and Gainesville. Mi Quang was excellent. Service was warm and sweet.

I don’t know what restuarant these prior reviewers went to but this place was awful. The interior was bland as was the food. Service was slow and meat in my Phở was disgusting. If this joint is here 6 months from now, it will be a miracle
