Overpriced for so so food. 2 adults and 3 kids and bill was $ 90… Meals came out 15 minutes apart and some were cold… Sushi bland… definitely not 5 stars that Unilocal has posted. We were very disappointed

All I can say is WOW! I have tried almost every sushi place in a 50 mike radius and let me tell you this place has just blown all of them out of the water! I chose the Knights Templar, Beach, and the Tuna Lovers (they have deals for multiple rolls) and even though they all featured tuna as the primary fish they all had a unique flavor to them. The boyfriend chose the hibachi filet & chicken and was also delighted at a «diffrent» taste from the usual hibachi place. We finished the meal with a slice of fried cheesecake and will be returning here often!

Excellent… Quick service. Volcano and colorful rolls, and steak hibachi. Steak had excellent flavor, and the rolls were big and tasted great. Stopped in on my way back to Clearwater from Georgia.

Good sushi in Ocala, FL? You bet!
Just a little bit to the west of I-​75 is this fantastic little sushi restaurant. The service was amazing with very attentive staff. Our waitress was very quick with our drinks and refills. They were extremely accommodating for off menu requests (my wife wanted a bowl of fried rice and they gladly delivered).
The waitress misheard our order and brought an extra roll that we did not order. She quickly took it off the bill and left it on our table to eat. I offered to pay for it anyways, but she flatly refused.
The sushi selection was pretty extensive, from sashimi to rolls and everything in between.
The black pepper tuna was a nice twist on an old standard.
To top off everything else they gave us a free serving of fried ice cream at the end of our meal.
If you live in Ocala, then you are incredibly lucky to have such a great sushi place so close. If you are driving through Ocala and are wanting some great sushi at reasonable prices, then this is the place.

Excellent food. Tempura shrimp roll and «J» roll were both delicious. Service was ridiculously fast. Quiet place, clean and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I can say I was pleased with my meal from here and would recommend it! Me being from Hawaii I am always looking for some good fresh sushi! Both my boyfriend and I will be definitely coming back next time in town! We shared a few different rolls and enjoyed it we had to order more to take out with us back to our hotel! Yum!!! If you like sushi i say give it a try… Can’t wait to come back!

So good! The food was out quick, the chicken was moist and perfect, sushi rolls were colorful and tasty. Got the appetizers out quick and before our actual meal. The service was very prompt and polite.
I urge anyone wanting some fresh Asian cuisine to take a bite at this place. Won’t be disappointed.

Wow, was I impressed! I was passing through Ocala and stumbled upon Sakura for the first time today. I ordered the Ocala roll and a cucumber avocado roll to go. I started with the cucumber avocado roll in the car and was instantly amazed! It was the most perfect cucumber avocado roll I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of sushi, including in Japan! My husband was surprised by my reaction so I gave him a taste. He agreed. When I tasted the Ocala roll, I was just as impressed. Needless to say, I will be back!

Owner is very friendly and the service is fantastic! Food is tasty and fresh! My family had dinner there and we enjoyed the food!

Great food. Fast service. Awesome take away for lunch. I had the seaweed salad, eel roll, and tuna roll. My Mom had the avocado salad. Everything was great!

I have ordered sushi take out here a couple of times. It’s really good value for money. The J-​Roll is my favourite.

This restaurant serves good fresh food. Sushi rolls are pretty and tasty. I liked everything I had here. (One exception, Tuna Lover’s Roll) And servers are very friendly and attentive.
This is not a place to experience authentic Japanese cuisine. Items on the menu are Japanese like for the most part. Many ingredients are similar to what used in Japanese cuisine.

This is a fabulous place to go for sushi and other Japanese items. My daughter and I are regulars — they have fabulous selections, great service, good prices and it is the only restaurant on this side of town serving fresh delicious food — all other places are fast food, chains or just plain poorly made food.
Give this place a try and you will see why it won’t be a secret much longer.
