A friend and I went to Shane’s Rib Shack yesterday for the first time and I have to say, «What a delightful surprise!» The food was great and the restaurant has a charming feel. Great for families or just for a quick bite of great food. I ordered the Shack Salad… Yummy! And a nice large portion too. Shane’s Rib Shack is a must try in Ocala, FL. :-)

I finally got around to trying their Brunswick Stew! I was impressed that a «cup» size came in a bowl. A good value for price but it really wasn’t a Brunswick per se as there was no okra nor beans in it. It was previously frozen but had excellent flavors. Since Roger’s closed down this seems to be the only place in town for a Brunswick Stew.
