Best ribs I ever had! They were lean, meaty(really meaty), tender, juicy and extremely flavorful. Worth going out of your way to have such a delightful meal. Alot of sides from which to select. You will not be disappointed. And the price is unbelievably low for as much as you get.

This place is amazing. Not only great BBQ but really great sides too. Mac and cheese, broccoli salad, beans, greens, and cucumber salad are all great. Had the chicken fried steak today and also tried the fried chicken. Can’t wait to go back for my third visit!!!

I did not see a single redeeming quality in this place. Food Me– Beef sandwich with 2 sides. Beef was shredded, soaked in sauce(not runny however) and very salty. Bun was good and it was a large sandwich. I liked there mild BBQ sauce, but couldn’t handle putting it on the sandwich… Unfortunately, I had to eat the mild sauce with fries… more on that in service. The fries were old, shriveled and moderately warm fries. Green beans were the thick style ones, with potatoes. Seemed very canned and very salty.(I am the type that keeps a salt shaker in his left hand and fork in the right) Her– Breakfast, ham, eggs, toast and grits. Ham was very salty and overcooked. Eggs were eggs. Toast was cheap white bread, and she barely touched the grits. Beverages Yes, I am including drinks in this review. Water– first attempt at a drink. Tasted like pool water… no joke. Soda– Second attempt at a drink. Diet coke wasn’t very good… but passable. Coke had way too much syrup in it. Served in takeout cups, the Coke was left full on the table. Yes I am complaining about drinks… they were 2.29ish. They better be spot on… Service We stood at the front… no one came up to us, so we sat ourselves. There is no sign… no big deal. Although we were clearly looking around, it would have been nice for someone to yell to take a seat. We got drinks, order taken, food and bill in a timely manner. But… when we ordered the Cokes to try to remedy the water problem, it would have been nice to tell us you offered bottled water(as we found out when paying). Would you like ketchup for your fries? Yes please… never saw her again, except the check. I ate the old, stale fries with mild BBQ sauce. There was some confusion about what came with one of our meals. May have been our fault… So, our waitress had a no-friendliness attitude. Not a smile, not a «how ya doin», nothing. Just business. Same thing(different lady) at the counter when we went to pay 18 dollars for breakfast and a sandwich. We did get a scoff and a «card ain’t slidin» comment. Perfect ending to a wonderful meal…

Almost Almost 5 stars If the food was just a touch better, less salty it would be 5. Food was very good. Service is what was awesome(Sharon made our night) Tommy came over to the table to ask how things were Got the chicken, brisket, mac and cheese and many other items. This place does things home style for sure. Will be back and would recommend.

Went here for lunch today with the sweetie. God I love this place. I got a beef sandwich with baked beans and sweet potato sticks. I ate everything. The sandwich was overflowing with beef and it was a big smack in the face when you take your first bite. The potato sticks were perfect and the baked beans are the best ive ever had. Geoff got ribs that looked like they came off of a Flintstones cartoon. Biggest, meatiest, most tender ribs ever. He got some pork too, that had a giant chunk of tender piggy goodness in it. I seriously love this place, I dont think they could ever make anything that isnt to die for. Tommy’s kicks Sonny’s ass anyday.

Meeting up with my family for a great slice of Ocala life. Lots of «good ol boys» frequent this place; the country ham must be the draw.

The best place for breakfast in Ocala! It’s nothing fancy so you don’t need your Sunday’s best. I have to try the Biscuit’s and Gravy everywhere I go. I was not disappointed by Tommy’s! In fact, I think it may be close to the best Biscuit’s and Gravy I’ve ever had!

It’s not Texas, or Memphis or St Louis, but this is by far the best restaurant in Ocala. Excellent ribs, pulled pork and chicken with 3 sauces available. Everyday about 15 different sides available. It looks a little dumpy, but it is quite good. I’d eat here 2 or 3 times a week if I lived there. The desserts are weak except the banana pudding.
