If you are considering buying their fries, you might as well save yourself $ 9 and go dumpster diving for food. A quote from one of my friends«they go through you like a brown torpedo».

Best burgers and hotdogs hands down on the boards! Pair either with a delicious bucket of thrashers fries one block down and you’ve set yourself up for a tasty treat

If I could give zero stars I would! This place is a health hazard! Boardwalk goers beware! my friend was served raw chicken here! He ordered chicken fingers and when he bit into the middle of one got a disgusting, potentially hazardous surprise… What made matters worse was how the owner dealt with it: no apologies, no nothing. In fact they seemed surprised and annoyed that we even brought it to their attention! A truly gross disappointing experience. GO Elsewhere!

This place is great for what it is. A very solid, standard burger perfect for a to-go lunch on lovely days you can’t think of leaving the beach to eat. Nothing special or fancy, always consistent. Their fries are pretty awful though. They’re those frozen, mass-produced pieces of garbage… Potato hell. With thrasher’s not even 2 blocks away it’s really just sacrilege to even consider eating anything else.

After having dinner at The Dough Roller, what better way to top off the evening than stopping by Alaska Stand for some funnel cake. Their funnel cake was really good, but they skimp on the powdered sugar. Both times I went there I had to ask them for more because the minimal amount that they put on it originally had started to melt on the piping hot funnel cake. Definitely not mad that the funnel cake was hot and fresh, but you can’t skimp on the powdered sugar for that reason. I also tried their lemonade and my dad had a milkshake. The lemonade wasn’t fresh, which is a bit disappointing for a boardwalk stand, and the milkshake was heavy on the milk according to my dad. Basically just come here to get funnel cake and you won’t be disappointed. I know I’ll be back for that next time I’m down there!

This place is a truly classic American boardwalk establishment. Whether getting a burger during the day, or delicious ice cream at night, going to the Alaska Stand is sure to please the young and the old. The staff work fast, so the waiting time is very short. If you find yourself near 9th Street, at the boardwalk, don’t miss out on this sweet slice of Americana.

Friendly staff, decent but pricey burger. A little salty. Expensive drinks — five bucks for a large. You can do better on the boardwalk.

A trip to OC is incomplete without a visit(or two…) to Alaska Stand. This boardwalk pit stop has been a favorite of my family’s for generations: my grandma’s 9th Street lunch ritual trickled down to my parents, then to my sister and I. Alaska Stand makes THE best chili cheese dog I’ve ever encountered, and partnered with a frosty cold lemonade, you’ll be in heaven on the boards. The funnel cake and burgers are great, too. The excellent location, consistent service, and touch of nostalgia earns Alaska Stand a 5⁄5!

Great little place on the boards to people watch while eating an awesome lunch. Their burgers remind you of the burgers from long ago. They definitely need to be joined by french fries and a chocolate milkshake. Definitely worth the stop in!

I love the Alaska Stand… I have to stop when walkin’ the boards. Great lunch counter type food, including awesome burgers, fries, hot dogs… they have a great breakfast, and don’t forget the thick milk shakes, especially on a hot, steamy day!

An OC standby for decades. The Alaska stand is boardwalk eats at their best. A split hotdog on a toasted bun, or a suprisingly good burger with an ice cold birch beer is the perfect snack on a summer afternoon/evening.

Iced cold lemonade and grilled cheese provided a staple meal for me as a kid whenever we wanted to grab a bite to eat on the boardwalk. Down to earth feel with simple meal items makes this a great place for people who have a hard time deciding what to get.
