Boardwalk Terrace

Accidently parked in one of his places while checking into the hotel next door. He came in and cussed the manager of our hotel out. We tried to move the car, but he was blocking it physically so he could try and get us towed. Even tried to get one of his customers to park behind me so I couldn’t get out. Got out, but almost ran over him in the process. Would never recommend doing business with these people, they are NUTS!

If you are looking for basic accommodations and being right on the beach/​close to the pier of the Boardwalk, then the Boardwalk Terrace is probably fine. The location is great — we rented an ocean front unit and had perfect views up and down the beach.
However the unit itself is dated and the building doesn’t have an elevator. Which doesn’t seem like a problem until you start making repeated trips up and down 3 flights of stairs.
The balcony isn’t really private — as there are 2 units on the floor. When the other room’s guests were out it felt more communal than private.
In our unit the screen door was off the tracks and broken so we had to chose — open for the ocean breezes and deal with the bugs or closed with the A/​C on.
The owners were pleasant enough although I did feel that when we called about the shower only having scalding hot or freezing cold water — nothing in between — the owner wasn’t pleased to have to come to the room at 8:30 at night. We weren’t pleased after driving 8+ hours to find we couldn’t take a comfortable shower…
The unit had 2 double beds and a pull out sofa. The beds were fine but the sofa was horrible. Fortunately I was the only one sleeping on it — there was literally no cushioning/​padding once the bed was folded out. I ended up sleeping with the bed open but the sofa cushions placed back on the sofa and sleeping as if it was just a sofa — no pull out.
Overall we sacrificed amenities and quality for location — which is fine if that is your choice. If we return to Ocean City we would definitely chose different accommodations.
