Went there on Tuesday 6⁄28 with my 16 year daughter. Hostess was rude. Asked to be sat in a nice area by the water. She sat us right beside the kids play area. Ok no big deal. Waiter never came to check in on us after ten minutes. Got up and left. I will never come back to crappy service.

Got a burger and it was delicious. The loaded crab fries are awesome to. Don’t get the crab pizza there is barely any crab meat on it. Jack and coke was 9.50. That is the reason I gave three stars. It’s not Manhattan. It’s a beach bar. The atmosphere was good. Nice place to watch sunset. Lots of room they have a playground for the kids. Would go back for the food but not the drinks.

Food was good but drinks are severely overpriced and have very small pours. I spoke to manager about it and was basically blown off. Very disappointed at management’s reaction to hearing that an $ 8.50 Orange Crush is basically just orange juice.

De Lazy Lizard is not the old Lizard at all! We tried it out when it first opened and never returned(that bad!) Upon hearing that Dead Freddies took it over we decided to give it another try. Freddies is top notch beach fun and great food so we had high hopes for the new Lizard! We were not disappointed! The updates are too many to name but the place is like stepping into a tropical island oasis! The inside restaurant is amazing and now a place you can actually sit down and eat in! The«kids area» is awesome! Tables under build-in thatched roof wooden umbrellas right next to a completely enclosed new and improved playground. Our server, Ashley; was pleasant and prompt and we never had to wait for anything. Drinks are delicious– try the Lizard Blizzard. Dinner is served after 5. I tried the filet kabobs and my husband had the island salmon. Both had outstanding flavor and great presentation. We will be back! This place is great!

Best eatery at the shore. Waterfront with a gift shop, playground, and boat docks. The food is wonderful and comes out very fast and tastes great. You get to keep fancy cups and with every kid’s meal there is a small toy lizard to go with it!!! Playground is nice and big for kids, and they have a beanbag toss, too. They sell T-Shirts for $ 20. The staff was nice, the food was great, and the environment was 6STARS.

I don’t even know where to start with this review. Be warned, if a restaurant with a beautiful waterfront location is empty on a summer night, there is probably a reason for it. Scenery can only get you so far when service is terrible. My family came here the other night since it was walking distance from where we were staying with the simple intentions of grabbing some food for the baby and some drinks/apps while letting her tire herself out on the new playground equipment. I would have been happy just hanging at the bar while this occurred but ended up at a table. I get that OC has a lot of employees that are from other countries and thats cool, but I am not sure what was going on with the server we had that night, whether he really didn’t speak any english or he doesn’t normally serve tables or what. This guy actually didn’t know or understand what a miller light was and it had to be pointed out on the menu card, and the question of whether the bar had it on draft went unanswered. Drinks came out, minus the water that I had ordered and it never did show up. Since he was back, I ordered food for the baby and stated that my sister and I would share the mussels. With that he walked away and never even acknowledged whether my parents wanted any food or not. The food came out pretty quick, but my sister asked for a plate since we were sharing a dish, but it never showed up. At this point we were done with the experience and decided to finish our drinks and roll. I didn’t even bother asking for a box for my daughters food since I probably wouldn’t have gotten it anyhow, and just wrapped it up with a napkin. On the way out my father asked to speak to the manager to at least make him aware of what was going on, but he appeared oblivious to everything. I am not sure who the owners are, and it seems they have put a significant amount of money into making this place beautiful, as it has come a long, long way from when it first opened a few years ago, but without some sort of major improvement with the service and the management, I do not see this place remaining in business for years to come. If I ever come here again, it will solely for the purpose of drinking while enjoying the sunset, and then heading somewhere else.

The food was good, and the atmosphere was even better. However, the servers were not capable of splitting the check, causing us confusion and made us wait 45 minutes after we ate.

Came here tonight on a Memorial Day weekend to have drinks with friends. The place has a terrible vibe and rude bartenders. I opened a tab. When I went to close it they said they always give credit cards back to you right away when you open a tab. We were not drunk like the typical people, so we were well aware the bartender did not give it back. We called them and Sean told us he would not interrupt the bartenders to have them look for the card. What kind of customer service is that? Avoid this place at all costs.

Came here Memorial Day weekend and the hostess told us we could sit out at the tables in the sand by the water like we had before. So we sat out there and we waited 10 minutes and no one came to our table. We were looking for a server but we saw no one. My dad went inside the bar area and asked for a server but we were told no one was serving outside. Umm what?! It was a gorgeous night and no servers wanted to serve outside?! A few other guests were irked about that as well. Very poor on this places part. So we sat inside the bar area and Amber was our server. She was very friendly! We ordered a few drinks and dinner. The menu really lacks in all parts. Plus they have almost NO seafood which is a HUGE bummer! They have crab dip but no crab legs. Only 3 menu items had seafood and it wasn’t even the main part. Really disappointed. Mom ordered the cheese nachos, dad got a wrap and I got the seafood nachos. My moms nachos were burned like crazy and had very little cheese on them and almost no pico de Gallo. Half the cheese wasn’t melted. Mine were awful. Chips were burned, barely any seafood, like 3 small bites. And there was a very minimal amount of cheese until I lifted up some of the chips and saw a pile of unmelted cheese just laying there. Was really not happy. Not impressed. Sever felt bad and sent the manager over and he was sort of nice. He kept asking if I wanted them re made and I kept saying no I wanted something else. He was annoyingly pushy about it. I told him I wanted the buffalo chicken salad instead. Salad came out fast but lacked chicken and buffalo sauce. It was $ 15.99 for the salad and really not worth it. Multiple issues here, place is very overpriced as well, very disappointed and will not be returning. I’ve seen many other bad reviews on here as well. I do not recommend this place at all!

No crab in crap soup at all or in the crab dip everything seems artificial and fake. Scenery is nice but food sucks!

We came here as a large party so they had to seat us between 2 booths which we were fine with. Our booth no one ordered apps but we still had to wait for the other table to finish before we got our entrees. I’m sure I’m just nitpicking but it felt like common sense to us. The food was decent but nothing amazing. My friend said the burger was good but nothing she would run home about. It was pretty cheap though That’s why we went. We were there while it was raining but it seems like it would have an amazing view on a nice day. I still recommend it for cheap eats but try and go on a nice day so you can sit outside.

Food was good. They had a menu with a few more options than most places in OCMD. It wasn’t all fried food. Dan was a bit surprised that his little cup of 12 oz beer was $ 6. I had water. Folks were happy with the fish and chips. We enjoyed the tacos. One gal had the crispy avocado and I had the battered fish with slaw. We were there on a quiet night in early May, it wasn’t busy but I imagine when the weather gets warm their deck gets busy. Great outdoor seating and view.

A group of friends and I came here after a long day on the beach from our day trip in Ocean City. I have to say the view of the sunset at the outdoor seating pier was beautiful and definitely created a great atmosphere for our dinner! My boyfriend and I shared an appetizer and a panini and it was more than enough to fill us up. Unfortunately the menu was pretty pricey, but you are in OC and eating majority seafood.

As a happy hour /night time hang out spot, I think ‘De Lazy Lizard’ is awesome. I was really impressed upon arriving with their set up and open feel. It was so pretty watching the sun set here and drinking delicious frozen drinks and fish bowls. We ended up coming back again that night and drank along the dock overlooking the bay. It has fun music, nice bartenders and delicious drinks.

Went to the Boat House(outside bar 21+) for happy hour on Thursday afternoon and it was very fun. Very spacious with a beautiful beach ambiance. When we first arrived it didn’t seem busy at all but the bar was packed. Angela was the only bartender working and had to call for back up but she was very kind and helpful the entire time. Dirty Bananas for $ 6!!! Best drink. Would definitely come back. Ps they also have docks for if you come by boat, very nice !

Visited De Lazy Lizard while vacationing in Ocean City MD last week and had a overall good experience. We sat on the deck for lunch and enjoyed the awesome view. They had a deck bar for 21 and over which looked like it would be a blast at night. Inside was slightly generic but no problems. My daughter had a salad with wings, no complaints heard. My wife and I had the seafood, tuna wrap for her and blackened rock fish for me, Delicious. The only real complaint was the portions were a bit small compared to similar places in OC. No big deal, I will return. I want to hit up the deck bar around sunset.

This place is an f-n bust. The space is alright, but that’s about it. Generic menu… All the food comes with chipotle aioli aka mayonnaise with siracha. Wicked cool. The staff doesn’t know what they’re doing and yeah we get the whole international help waitstaff thing but it’s not efficient. Tourist trap for sure. Don’t go here. Oh yeah and the hostesses are terrrrrible.

Prior to today, we had been to De Lazy Lizard dozens of times a summer. Well, there is no truth in reviews from Unilocal as they just removed my last one. If I rate the place as poor, and am truthful about crummy service, the place gets it removed. Clearly the manager has had enough time to remove previous bad Unilocal reviews but not enough time to address customer needs. Don’t eat here. Bugs crawl out of the tables outside. One did which scared my wife, drink spilled, covered in green whipped drink, we asked for the manager and after waiting over an hour, we were told«too bad.» Rachel(asst mgr) never bothered to come out until I demanded to see her at the reception desk. Brian followed her out and never introduced himself, but waited until after I explained everything to Rachel, then said, «You already paid, what you want me to do about it dude?! Sorry dude.» Besides the food taking forever to come out, it ended up being just mediocre, and cold, which is deplorable for a $ 100 meal. Trust me, the name fits folks, lazy, full of attitude and slithery like a lizard. The worst is, this used to be such a good place before the new ownership took over. Save your money for something with better service and quality of food like Mackey’s, Fish Tales, Ky West, Mickey Finn’s or Sunset Grill. Brea was the bright spot and kept apologizing for the poor response by the manager about the food and I hope she’s able to find better employment than this God-awful excuse for a restaurant. Horrible. I wouldn’t let my dog eat at De Lazy Lizard.
