We love this place… prices for the all you can eat options are great… and for the beer drinkers refills are only 3 bucks, and that includes the micro brews. I’ve been to some other OC crab spots and this was the best.

The food, when it finally came was ok. But it took an hour for or appetizer to arrive, and we ordered everything when we first sat down. They were out of the lunch we ordered for our two year old, and we weren’t told until 40 minutes after we ordered it. The whole meal took almost two hours and our children were miserable. My drink offer was also wrong. They gave us a discount, but we won’t be back.

Good food, not great. But manis it expensive for what you get. I get that it is a vacation destination and it is right in the water, can’t be cheap. I really like the soft shell crabs, but $ 42 is a bit much.

We used to eat here every time we visited OC and just recently started coming back… The all you can eat crab feast can’t be beat! It comes with hush puppies, shrimp, corn on the cob, ribs, fried chicken and everything was wonderful. The crabs were very meaty and very tasty! The manager, Royette, is amazing and truly values her customers.

Their service was terrible! There were about 14 of us, so we were a big group. They were able to sit us right away around 8:30 at night on a Saturday. There were some of us who got the all-you-can-eat crabs, and some of us who ordered a la carte. They first brought us the fried food, like fried chicken and hush puppies. Afterwards, they brought out the crabs. Although we were a big group, there was only one server. They had foodrunners who brought out the food. They took such a long time to refill our crabs. At the end, we just stopped eating because they took too long. We also did not the corns at the end of our meal, and the server had no idea that we hadn’t gotten them. This place is not worth the money that you pay for the all-you-can eat crabs. If you want the all-you-can eat crabs, then go somewhere else. There are so many other all-you-can eat places in Ocean City.

I don’t know how much more I can add after 205 reviews… but I’ll just do a pro /con list to help anyone on the fence. I’ve eaten there about 15 times… and it pains me to say that because I’ve probably paid them enough to finance a renovation or two. PRO: The atmosphere is hard to match while eating crabs on their back deck(or Sneaky Petes) Super friendly staff… they want you to be happy. You can eat 20 crabs, 2 lbs of shrimp, 5 ears of corn, and 2 fried chickens… they don’t care… eat up and enjoy. CON: Don’t expect to go «on the cheap» here The crabs aren’t the best I’ve ever had in my life… in fact far from it… but they are ok In short: This place is a lot like Disney World… chances are you’ll go on a better roller coaster at a Six Flags… but Disney just has the packaging. You can get better crabs at a place like Waterman’s a mile down the road… but Hooper’s gives you the view, the open salty air, the wooden table to smack your crabs on, etc… they give you the package. If your a crab purist… avoid…if you are taking a guest and want to create a memory, go to Hooper’s…What they are selling will be what you want.

The view of the deck and the atmosphere was very nice. The menu notes bread comes with entrée and I had to ask for bread. My husband had the all you could eat and the amount of food provided was good for the price. I had the beef-n-reef meal and while I really enjoyed it, the scallop I received was a bit over cooked and the layers of seasoning caked on top over powered the scallop. The wait staff was nice, however, my waitress had 3 trainees following her around and it was a bit much. I think three trainees at once really hindered the service. We may return again on another trip to ocean city but with so many great places to try, it isn’t the top of the list.

Had lunch out on Sneaky Pete’s yesterday. The music of jimmy buffet playing. Its nice to eat outside with a great view. I bring my Hoopers cup I originally bought for $ 6.00 and drank a beer on tap for $ 3.00 ! Ordered 2 baskets of crab claws $ 18.00. Hoopers puts just the right amount of Old bay on crab!

I did the all you can eat crab legs for $ 42 yesterday and had an amazing time with my family. They have a set up where if you buy this cup it will be $ 6 on your first drink and $ 3 after that. The only reason I am giving this place four stars instead of 5 is because of their desert game is very weak. They only have two desserts which are like ice cream sandwiches in a bag, and a popsicle key lime pie that is chocolate covered. Even though it’s very good and establishment as awesome as that needs to have their dessert game on point

Over priced. Paying for a view and atmosphere. Get in your car and drive to Red Roost. Also ordered the Shrimp which was $ 15 and I had 10 shrimp on my plate. Waste of money and time.

OHMYGOOOSSSHHHH!!! This place will put you in a food coma, as well provide with you a major unattractive food baby… but the food is absolutely worth it. I ordered from the all you can eat menu which includes: crabs, shrimp, corn on the cob, hush puppies, and fried chicken. Honestly the«wow» items were the hush puppies, corn, and fried chicken(go figure?). Probably the best fried chicken I have ever eaten — even better that RoFo fried chicken on a drunken munchie kind of night. And I’m pretty sure I ate more hush puppies than what is humanly possible. They were mouth-watering and delectable! Overall, I think the price is worth the quality and quantity of food, just keep in mind that your server will bring you the cheaper items first before you get the seafood. Don’t be afraid to ask for more of anything, it is AYCE! Bottoms up :)

Preface: I put a limit to the amount of work I need to do to enjoy my food… Shared the clam bake, can’t complain too much at the quantity but the lobster and crabs were SO much work for very little meat. The mussels, clams, soup and corn were ok though. But there’s a pretty hefty pricetag on the plate The hush puppies were yummy, and the fried chicken(I hear) was good too! If I do go back I’ll be sure to order something where all the work is done for me already like a crab cake or crab soup.

I’m torn between 3 stars or 4. I’ll give it 4 cause it’s just one of those places u visit to complete your vacation. Got there Friday around 5pm. Absolutely no wait. Waitress was polite but not too informative. We are a gluten free family and she said was to look at menu with gf in front. Funny thing was that right after that she brought us bread. We had no drinks only water and bill was 112 dollars. Ouch!

An O.C. mainstay, Hoopers can be counted on for good crabs. We got all-you-can-eat. Even though it’s pricey, it was a far better deal than crabs by the dozen. It came with fried chicken, hush puppies, corn on the cob, shrimp and crabs. Everything was really good. The crabs varied in size, but were really good, with a lot of meat. The corn was just slightly over cooked, but really good nonetheless. The shrimp were amazing. The chicken was a little dry, but who’s there for the chicken? My mom, who has a smallish appetite, got the basket of claws. It was perfect for a crab lover who can’t get their monies worth out of all-you-can-eat. Overall, this is a great place to stop while at O.C. or on your way home.

I give them a 3 star this time around. The service was slow. The crabs weren’t as good as usual. Shrimp was super salty this time and the corn was under cooked. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive to our large party .she kept forgetting things we asked for. We have been here a few times but this was probably the worst visit I have had.

CRABFEAST. Oh yes please! I’m a huge lover of crabs! I’m from Maryland. It is known for crabs and for good reason, they are absolutely delicious!!! We went here with a large group of my friends as the last meal for our beach trip. After a small wait for our table of 14 — everyone went for the all you can eat feast, and a feast it was! A combination of crabs, fried chicken, shrimp, corn and hush puppies, it was the perfect meal and a great way to end the summer. Everything placed on the table was great. The waitress provided us with bibs, small containers of butter + seafood sauce for the whole table and often came by to see if we needed anything. One comment I had was that some batches of crabs/shrimps were covered in Old Bay, but some were not. They were covered in their own mixture mostly of salt. The seasoning was inconsistent but it was still delicious! It was $ 44 after tax and tip per person for the all you can eat crabs! If you’re feeling crabbie, this is definitely the meal to choose! Despite it being extremely busy the night we came, we didn’t feel rushed. Will absolutely be back.

What goes better with a summer beach trip than an all-you-can-eat crab feast? A large group of us came here during our Labor Day beach trip with a reservation and had a great time. We got unlimited crabs, hush puppies, corn, and shrimp, as well as unlimited sodas, for $ 44 per person after tax and tip. We were told that we could get chicken as well but for an extra $ 4 per person. We mainly feasted on the crab and shrimp, but the corn and hush puppies were welcome in between all of that seafood. I loved dousing everything I ate in gobs of melted butter and cocktail sauce, although the food was delicious enough to do without the condiments. I could have sat through the entire night eating that tender crab meat, but my hands couldn’t take any more abuse after 3 hours of peeling apart crab shells. Our waitress was pretty snarky and seemed exasperated by our large group, but she was attentive enough and brought out food and drinks promptly. We never felt rushed at all during the entire 3 hours. If you have a hankering for Maryland blue crabs in Ocean City, then this is the place to get them. I would definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand — there was still a large crowd waiting for tables as we were leaving. Also, parking is pretty limited, so carpool or pay for the shuttle if you can.
