OC wasabi is the only place I would go to get sushi in ocean city. I am so glad that they have this location on 16th street this summer since I lived at downtown. You can not only get sushi rolls but also Vietnamese sandwich Banh Mi! They also give discounts to locals. The service is fantastic and they open EVERYDAY from 11 am-9pm in summer time!!! Love this place!!!

It took over an hour for our rolls. I’ve gotten served at the actual wasbi faster than this. Not only did we wait an hour but regulars came in that the employees knew after us and they magically got served within 10 minutes. Don’t waste time with the express, go to the real wasbi and wait for a table because you will get served faster this is a repeating issue.

When you are in OC there is only so much crab you can eat before you start investigating other options. That’s where OC Wasabi Express comes in. Now don’t get me wrong, they have crab on the menu, but you just don’t have to beat it into submission with a mallet like most places around here. I thought this place had a cool beach vibe going on — the people behind the counters are very friendly, there are plenty of options with a full sushi menu, Acai bowls, Bahn mi sandwiches along with other pre-made items and sandwiches to pick up on the go. There is also a freshly made juice bar here that is at a separate counter from the sushi. There are indoor and outdoor tables — place your order at the counter and it is brought to you. We came for the sushi and for us it was a good choice. There was seemingly a full sushi menu. The rolls were tasty and freshly made(not made and prepackaged in a refrigerator case). Most maki rolls were in the 6 – 7, special rolls in the double digits. The did have a crazee rolls(sp? not sure if I got the right name?) special(see pic) that stated it had eel, but because my wife ordered a similar rainbow roll I wasn’t exactly sure which was watch until I saw a tiny bit of eel sauce inside the roll. The nigiri and sashimi need to be ordered in with a two or three piece minimum, you can’t get a single piece so the prices were over $ 6 for most orders of nigiri or sashimi. The nigiri pieces were generous cuts of fish, but I found the cuts on the maki rolls a bit thin. In fact you can almost see through the tuna in one of my pics. For OC I give this place 4 stars because it is a good option especially with the lack of sushi places around — you can come right from the beach. Very casual. I liked the friendliness and the service here which also upped the star power, but if this was in NY I’d throw 2.5 stars at it because of the thin cuts of fish and having to order nigiri in sets of 2.

Great sushi, Great atmosphere, Great service! I had the baked fatty jay roll. What’s really cool about this place is they share a store with the Juice Shack. We split an Acai Bowl from the juice shack along with our sushi. It was delicious and the healthiest desert we have had in Ocean City.

What a great option to run in and grab a healthy lunch. I love to be able to grab a roll or two. The daily specials are a great deal! Love this place!
