Went twice, two summers in a row. Food is decent. Service is HORRIBLE! Both times we were one of the only tables of people there… that has to say something. Their prices aren’t great for OC, either. I’m not going again. Sorry.

I went here for my birthday late on a Tuesday night with my boyfriend. The décor was absolutely beautiful and good was great. The service was super fast probably because it wasn’t busy at all, but our waitress was great. The portion of chicken parm was a bit skimpy but delicious. The groupon made it well worth it. Definitely a good place for italian by the boardwalk.

I was looking forward to a great dining experience based on friends recommendations. I thought the wait staff was under dressed for a restaurant. They could have been manning take out on the boardwalk. But friendly. A small basket of grocery store quality bread was served with tasty infused olive oil but no butter. I ordered a $ 12.00 shrimp cocktail which was awful. The shrimp were hot to the touch and rubbery. My guess was precooked frozen shrimp, thawed in a microwave, and served. They had the consistency of hot, wet gummy worms but with no taste. Thankfully my penne pasta was better but not as advertised. The diced tomatoes were from a can. Both of our entrees had to be heavily salted. I won’t go back.

A very strange place. When we got there the place was nearly deserted and the hostess asked us where we wanted to sit. I don’t know… the place is nearly empty… anywhere will work. After we got seated and placed our drink order the waitress came by and dumped most of it on my son and me. To ‘makeup’ for the spill they gave us a free appetizer. We got the Anti pasti. It had tuna on top. Never had it that way. It wasn’t good. The entrees were actually ok and portions quite large. The spaghetti was good but the meatballs were just so so. While we were there two other families came in(one lady came and left after one came to seat her) and I wanted to tell them to run. This is a place with potential but has to do a better marketing job. The place should be packed on a summer night. Instead it was empty. What a shame.

I should have known there would be problems with an empty dining room at 6:30 on a Friday night in July. Veal was off color and tasteless, ravioli was bland and chicken was rubbery. Bread and dipping sauce was good. Service was ok, but they were out of allot of menu items. Can’t see this place making it.

We walked into a completely empty restaurant that looked like an old italian catering hall. Old food under our table & the cushioned benches were old & broken so u fell into a hole when u sat. Food was not good. hot pepper appetizer. old peppers.not enough olive oil & garlic was burnt to a crisp. Ordered chicken marsala & got veal instead that was cooked to death and sauce was terribly sweet. Friend ordered ravioli and even that was horrible. Very dry. and their sauce/gravy was gross. Calamari portion was very small… prices too high for bad italian. BUT… our waitress was great… felt bad for her bcuz shes not going to make any money in that place!!!

Tough call as place is pretty and food was good, but service was disappointing. Management needs to train staff better from A to Z. Watch out for the dish nazi who will come take your plate whether you are finished or not. In addition, another rule broken appetizers out after entrees. Work on processes and people since food was good.

Food — we both ordered the prime rib at the recommendation of the waitress. While the sides were fine, the meat itself tasted old and was more fat than edible beef. We left most of the food on our plates. Prices — Would have been reasonable if the food was good. Too expensive to take a chance on a second time. Service — Waitress was new, didn’t have a good grasp of the specials. Manager came by at end of our meal but it felt more like a sales pitch for dessert. Atmosphere — The place was really attractive, but only four tables had customers at prime dinner hour on a Friday. Wait staff was loudly arguing about who got what tables. Hostess and wait staff had a table in the lobby where they were having their dinner. Very awkward.

Overall we had a good experience… the customer service was great. I had the chicken parmigiana, enough to share with my daughter. The meatballs are to die for and my husband has the crab cakes. We will definitely visit the next time we’re in OC.

Went here tonight. Was very empty in there so I was nervous. But the food was awesome. I got the chicken parm. And my lady got the penne a la vodka. The food came out super fast which was great. We both greatly enjoyed our dishes. You should definitely check it out!

This was the second time we had dinner here. It is still off season and the dining room was mostly empty of other diners. We ordered the Antipasti for an appetizer. The portion was smaller than when we are here in May. I had the penne with shrimp & chicken. It tasted very good but unfortunately there were only two shrimp in the dish. My sister had a huge mound of eggplant parm and the eggplant was tough. We had a side of meatballs which were barely warm. Both times we went they were out of one of the entrees on the menu and there were no cannolis for dessert. It’s a shame that the food is not fantastic every time. OC is lacking in good, consistent dinner places.

6 of us arrived late last night, just 25 minutes before the stated closing time and yet we were warmly greeted. How nice at the end of a terrific beach day. We all had different food, as varied as chicken parm to roast beef, and all was yummy. The dining room is lovely and the service very attentive. We all would have liked a glass of wine but, after all, we ARE in Ocean City. We had a 6 year old with us, without any issues, so this restaurant would a good visit for a family dinner as well as for a special occasion. We would look forward to another visit

My Mom and I vacationed in OCNJ from 8÷31÷13 until 9÷7÷13 and dined at Tuscanello’s twice it was THAT amazing. Aside from the stellar(and reasonable prices with BIG portions!) the owner(Angelo of South Philly) and staff were SO welcoming, friendly and attentive. There are NO worthy Italian restaurants down the shore other than the Ravioli House in WW until now. They are new and incredible, we’ll be traveling down for dinner on Weekends during the off season because we CANNOT wait a whole year to enjoy again! PLEASE visit and support Tuscanello’s — I promise you go once and you’ll keep going back! Highlights: Crab Bisque(like — WOW.), their gravy tastes JUST like my Pop Pop’s, macaroni cooked to perfection, all Parms, scampi, caprese salad, JUMBO fresh shrimp and magical cannoli’s!

We went to the recently opened Tuscanello’s while in Ocean City this summer, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality Italian food and great service. I could tell they were getting their systems down, as we had about 3 or 4 different people bringing us water, bread, drinks and taking our orders. But it amounted to a nice night in what I’m convinced it one of the nicest dining rooms in Ocean City. We had lots of pasta at the table, and the chicken parmesan, along with a Ceasar salad. Everyone enjoyed their meals and then some — we had leftovers and nowhere to put them at the hotel! Come hungry! I’m hoping this place is still doing well and has enjoyed a fruitful first summer of business.
