Favorite. Been coming here since I was little. La Colombe coffee served. Love the Dirty Hippy(hot or iced). Butterscotch scone is to die for as are the chocolate chip cookies, raspberry cornmeal, and blueberry bran muffins Great macchiatos, lattes, capps, and lunch is never a disappointment. Can’t wait to try dinner!

Delicious, fresh, homemade yummy-ness! Service was great. The bread they give you to start with has a tasty salty crust that leaves you wanting more. Beef short ribs were flavorful, crab cake was amazing and I wish I could eat them every day. Don’t forget about the pork tenderloin(super moist) with goat cheese mac n’ cheese. Uh-May-Zing. If you haven’t been, you should go. Portion and quality to cost is very reasonable.

Excellent restaurant! We love their scones for breakfast. They also serve fresh wholesome food for lunch and dinner. I have never had a bad meal there. OC has lots of fair restaurants and not many that have fresh healthy options. This is a star in OC!

I come here for one thing — the scones. Freshly baked everyday, you never know what the three flavors of the day will be — but most of them are delicious. I can’t even remember all the different types I’ve had — blueberry, Mexican chocolate(yum), butterscotch, honey walnut and apple cinnamon come to mind. I’m sure there are more, and the ones I don’t like are due to personal preference — not the quality. In season, you probably want to get there on the early side — they sell out quickly. Also, if you are close enough, better off to walk. It gets pretty crowded. Drawbacks for me — service can be really slow. I was there in the off season and there was only two people ahead of me — still took 10 minutes to get a scone. Also, I did try their cappuccino once, but it didn’t really do anything for me — it had a burnt taste.

Simply put, you will not find better scones, and these are not your normal scones. Every day they have three different flavors of incredibly light and flavorful scones. They also make great coffee, though expect it to take a few minutes if you order anything iced, since they make everything from scratch. They also serve lunch and dinner, which can be kind of pricey, but those dishes are amazing. On summer weekends it gets a lot of traffic, but they’re fast. Even when the line has extended out the door, I’ve never had to wait longer than half an hour. If you need a coffee fix or just want a scone, come here. You’ll be addicted.

i’m on vacation and i’m really just here to get some wifi and a coffee fix. i’m not in a hurry to get to work, or stressed out by city life. this is a good place with a cute, clean bathroom, original local art on the walls they switch out regularly, actual food, plenty of space. plenty of parking. fresh orange juice squeezed old school right in front of ya. what’s not to like?

I know that it’s a beach community, but this place still has remarkably slow and disorganized service. I was there this past weekend. On Friday morning, I ordered an iced coffee, and was told that they’re making more. Alright, so I asked when it would be finished, and the response was that they didn’t know how much more they had left. WHAT? So, then I asked how much they have left, and was told that they didn’t know. Well, supposing that’s egg on my face since she just said that and I asked again. Shame on me for assuming she’d go check. Finally, I just asked for an iced americano, which was«meh.» On Saturday, I asked for an iced coffee and received it with no questions asked. Progress. However, their operation is incredibly inefficient. The workers behind the counter were all taking orders, fulfilling drink orders, running to the back to bring out food orders, and then busing tables. This created confusion among the workers and slowed down the entire operation. «Meh» coffee and scattered service? I guess that’s the result when your customer base is captive on the island.

Got a free coffee and awesome chocolate chip espresso muffin today from this cool coffee house on my 60 mile bike ride. Won the prize in May from a triathlon I did, nice wee place and cool staff. Thanks!

This place was super average. Barring the fact that I walked from 11th and West all the way here, I was expecting to go have what the locals consider«the best cup of coffee» … I walked into the store, it was 87 degrees. I take my coffee with cream, automatic red flag. So whatever. I sat in and had my cup of coffee. It was as average as can be. The people there were real cool. I mean the place was semi interesting. It had a true local vibe, I dug that. The thermostat is a concern when your serving cream and leaving it out on a wooden table. It will be unlikely I return to this location.

Ventured from our comfort zone and went for dinner to our favorite coffee and scone spot. Appetizers that we tried were:(1) lightly seared Ahi Tuna served with a Wasabi Soy sauce and pickled ginger, and(2) Scallops lightly seared and served with a corn relish.
Also had the dinner salad of pistachio-encrusted goat cheese served on a bed of fresh greens and vinaigrette dressing. The Mac and Goat Cheese was also good. Desserts we tried were a Mexican chocolate tort and the Berry crisp. The décor is simple and very casual, but the food is exceptional! And only a short bike ride away; or short stroll for those who reside in the Historic district!

THE best kept secret in OCNJ. We found this gem because we walked into the wrong restaurant. Scratch that, we walked into the RIGHT restaurant but a different location. We had the house specials and enjoyed everything and had SO much left over, I had lunch the next day. A very brief menu and that’s just fine with us. Just a great kitchen staffed by great people. Besides, we got comped with some outstanding scones. To die for. Needs six stars. In season, DONOTDRIVE. Walk.

One of the few truly cool establishments to spend any time and/or money in this south jersey beach resort region… great drinks, scones, food and people… they definitely support the artist community, as well… my favorites are their foccacia sandwiches and glorious morning muffins…

Best scones I’ve had in a long, long time! Today’s options included mexican chocolate, cranberry(the winner!) & honey walnut. Plus fresh muffins(yogurt cappucino chip, blueberry bran). Plus La Colombe coffee. Plus easy parking. We’ll be coming back over and over during our shore vacation… after all, we didn’t even make it to the cookies & brownies!
