Denny’s

This Denny’s is horrible. 20 minute wait in between waitress visits to my table, appetizer was cold so had to send it back, instead of cooking the cheese sticks and queso again she told me she «nuked em».(never tell a customer that even if you really did) tasted terrible still after microwave. My country fried steak came out and was also cold and had no taste. The macaroni and cheese and corn were really tasty but not hot at all. I don’t know if it was something going on that night or what but it was impossible for them to bring me hot food. Waitress (who was very sweet but had no clue what she was doing) could see I took maybe 2 or 3 bites of my meal and didn’t even ask if she could give me something else. she told me and I quote“if you don’t like it tonight come back another time and it will be better, we might have a different cook then.” Never going back to this one or any Denny’s, it was a gross experience.

I loved this Dennys. The waitress was super friendly and the food was Amazing. You can’t eat like that for 21 $ for 2 people many places anymore.

This place is old. Really old. Don’t believe me? Look up at the ceiling next time you’re in. With that said, it’s a great Denny’s. Service is always fast and the staff are always friendly. Food is on par with most Denny’s and of course reasonably priced. The skillet platters are a bit on the greasy side. Other than the ceiling, it’s a good spot. I have frequented this location several times… I may or may have not been under the influence of alcohol during half those late visits. I can assure you though that this visit was sober and worth it!

It’s Denny’s so if you’ve been to one… Anyway I always go late at night 12 one 2 o’clock in the morning, I’m a night owl. But when I do I always have a pleasant experience. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and they don’t hover over you but do refill your drinks at the appropriate times. I’ve never had a problem with the food, and I love the milkshakes which usually come with a little extra milkshake on the side, in a separate can cup. It’s a little bit pricier then waffle house but the menu is more varied.

My earlier five stars may have been a little hasty… the food is still good, and the waitstaff is friendly/​efficient, but where I keep running up against it is at checkout! I am constantly giving them my ticket & my charge card, and they constantly hand the ticket back to me, telling me to «bring down the total», basically reminding me that a tip is due… what is SUPPOSED to happen is an amount is delivered on an initial ticket, then if you agree on the price, you offer cash or credit and ANOTHER ticket is created, either as a cash receipt or as a credit slip to be signed, and a tip is added at THAT time! The way it’s handled at Denny’s is awkward, unprofessional and unseemly for a large chain (they put the ticket on the table with no ink pen, tell you to pay up front, people in your party wait up front while people from other parties come through the door to be seated… a bottleneck occurs where any disagreement over procedure will have an audience and a patronizing tone). My recommendation would be to «bring down the total» with ZERO in the «tip» section until they get it right, or go somewhere else… really…checkout is the last thing you do before leaving and no matter how good a time you had or how much you got accomplished while there, it leaves you with a bad taste.
