This beach is a fantastic, well-guarded secret if the sparse number of sun worshippers was any indication. Powder-soft, white sand perfect for sunbathing, bath-warm water, and not a lot of noise. The water is shallow a long way out, so you can walk a good way alongside the pier and still kneel in the water(we saw some young children easily playing and wading a distance out from the shore). The beach, by the way, is public but the pier we saw is private and locked by a gate. I was told there was another nearby pier that was open to the public. Fish are plentiful — you can see them jumping out of the water everywhere! You can crab and fish off the public pier, and there’s a huge pit set in the sand for bonfires.
