Had an issue regarding a crib we rented, spoke with the owner and issue was resolved in a timely/professional manor. We were more than satisfied with how it was handled and will definitely rent from Gale Force when we return to Bethany Beach. It was nice dealing with someone that takes pride in the service they provide.

I don’t usually post reviews but had to this time. We bought a couch along with our beach home which anyone who visits just loves and says how comfortable it is. This includes my entire family who all have some sort of back problem. I thought the couch was old looking and smelly but very comfortable and well built. I tried to find a comparable new couch but this was not an easy task so we decided to have it cleaned instead. The carpet it sits on had a very noticeable stain as well as carpeting in one of the bedrooms. Gale Force’s removed the stains completely and the couch now smells fresher and looks much better. Rob was very professional, on-time, courteous and reasonable. We are very very happy with Robert and this company and looking for something similar in up home!

Run Don’t Walk — AWAY from this company. Gale Force Rentals has the same address of Rob Ward’s Gale Force Cleaning & Restoration, so I guess he is doing all sorts of things, but the wrong way because that business also got bad reviews. And prior to Gale Force Rentals, they were Bethany Resort Rental, so who knows what is going on with this business. To make a very long story short, we didn’t get what we ordered and we were charged $ 50 in a lock out fee that Gale Force ultimately refunded. When they called, I told them I would dispute the charge and explained the problem. They said they would investigate and get back to me, but while I was on the phone with them, they had another rep call in and charged my credit card knowing that I was going to dispute. I know this because I heard them. So GFR finds that I was not lying and 3 days later, Sylvia at GFR tells me she has credited my account, however my cc is not showing a credit and went from pending to an actual transaction, so I had to dispute the charge through my cc in order to protect myself against the finance charges. If GFR had given me the benefit of the doubt and investigated FIRST and believed I was not lying, they could have saved me and them the aggravation(and this bad review). I did receive my credit, however not without great aggravation. Try AtoZ Rentals, they did it right for us. Linens are brought into the house and you leave them there… no worry about having them stolen or left out in the rain. I only used GFR because I went to a different house and a different realtor who recommended them. Also GFR website says they use hotel quality linens, but there was no difference between AtoZ &GFR quality. I would have saved $ 55 on linens alone if I had stayed with AtoZ. Save yourself money and aggravation — go elsewhere!

I hired this company’s cleaning service for a rental unit. They were totally unresponsive to any communication attempts through the whole season; there was no communication between cleaner and head office resulting in two cleanings in three days; the billing was haphazard and I still get invoices out of the blue a year a half later. I have to say that the cleaning was satisfactory but it’s not worth the aggravation. There are many other cleaners around in that area; do yourself a favor, look around.
