This place closed down… message keeps saying they will open again but it has been a few months now

I originally gave this place a 4 outta 5 stars because I use to LOVE their sauce and pizza. Lately it seems they have changed the ingredients and it isn’t as unique as it once was. Pizza is UNDERDONE almost every time I order now. It also seems like they have a bunch of 20 year old kids working in the back that have no idea what they are doing. Not sure what else has changed but it is not the same place it once was. I was a loyal customer for many years but that might not be the case any longer.

Hole in the wall that is ok but easy to forget. So many better thin crust pizza places now a days with better service.

The pizza is good here, though sometimes the crust is a little to burnt for my taste. I honestly prefer the one in little silver over this one. The issue is the price… comparing the two luigis the price of this one is almost twice as much as the other one which has a nicely flavored crust and the staff is less rude.

Been ordering for years, almost always a long wait but pizza was very good and my dad has loved for years. We ordered and after over and hour waiting my father called to find out when it would be delivered. He was not rude, we were hungry and just wanted an eta. After being told it was not even cooked yet we were told they weren’t going to deliver our pizza because it was a specialty pie. They were too busy and wouldn’t even discuss. We are still in shock at what happened and how rude a business could be. Needless to say we will not order again but apparently they don’t need our business.

Been one of my favorites for years! From the pizza to the hot subs can’t miss here. Have never had a bad experience with this place. Order Now! I delivered for this place back in the day. I was fired. But it’s food is still the shit

Luigi’s is one of the best pizza’s in the area. Definitely the best pizza sauce, hands down. Save a few bucks and pick it up yourself. The delivery is on the slow side.

Worst food and customer service ever. I asked them to subtract a few things on the anti-pasta and they refused to do it. There are plenty of other good places to go like Rizzo’s next to Foodtown in Ocean. Don’t waste your time or money.

I have never been treated so rudely in my life as I was tonight by the female manager at Luigi’s.(I never did get her name) We requested a re-order when they delivered us the wrong pizza. She took over the phone call and actually accused me of ordering incorrectly!(It was written correctly on the receipt btw) She acted exasperated with me and then told me they were really busy and it was going to be a long time before our re-order arrived. I responded that I really didn’t know what to say to that other than«ok», to which she responded«well ma’am I’m just letting you know!» About a half hour after the correct pizza arrived, my phone rang and i saw it was Luigi’s. I thought to myself how nice that they were calling to check and see that we were pleased with our new pizza. Not even close. It was the manager, but not with kind words. She barked at me «you were supposed to give us back the other pizza.» I won’t bother you with the rest of the argument that ensued but suffice to say, it led me to blast them here, well deserved, i might add. It’s such a shame this incredibly obnoxious girl is ruining decades of loyalty that my family has had to this once great Ocean Twp institution. I had always wondered why this bustling business always remained a take out/delivery joint and never expanded into a full restaurant. Now I understand. They’re not a service business. They’re the pizza business version of The Soup Nazi. So of you’re looking for great food with a dash of insult… this is your place.

I grew up eating this pizza it wasn’t until years later that I realized it is the best damn pizza ever! My goto is meatball and green pepper. They thin slice the meatballs and the green peppers are soft and tender. The sauce is the best I ever had and the crust is heaven. Don’t get this Luigi’s confused with any other. This is the one and only !

I don’t know where even begin. I walked into luigis a year ago with my son. Luigis had just opened for the day. The owner or cook(still don’t know) hadn’t made all of the pizzas in the display cabinet. I asked for 3 slices and the girl said they need a few more minutes. She said the owner was going to be mad. The owner/cook came out of the kitchen swearing. My son was 3 years old. I walked out and vowed I would never return. My wife convinced me to give luigis another shot because they deliver and they are close. Today(11÷2÷2014) we called in a delivery. We ordered a plain pizza and next a pizza with penne and vodka. The guy/owner/or cook says«vodka pizza? What is that? We donta maka thata shit here!!» I said excuse me sir I order it all the time. He says«what do you think this place is?» He was swearing. I had him on speaker phone. My inlaws were appalled. We will never ever even go back. They lost a lot of business today. I hit the 1 star button by accident but they don’t even deserve that!

Tried the pizza here for the firt time and it did not disappoint! Was recommended by a gentlemen at Wegmans wine & spirits and wow was he spot on! Didn’t feel like cooking after a long week and my husband had mentioned pizza. He had gone to wegmans looking for a good pizza wine. The man at the checkout said if you are getting pizza, you have to try Luigis! So we did! We got a Caesar salad to start(love that the dressing is on the side!) and the Luigis special — loaded with sausage, mushrooms and pepper. You’d think a pie with such a thin crust couldn’t handle all those toppings but you would be wrong. Really really like this pizza! Will definitely be trying it again — with a wine from Wegman’s of course!

Whatever you do, do not order from this place. Their staff is extremely rude. The service is terrible. The food is below average. They deliver to you mostly very late and only when it’s convenient for them. They hang up the phone on you when their busy and it’s not convenient for them to deliver to your particular area. My house is only within one mile and still they they pick and chose when they will accept an order. I’m done with this place.

Eh. 3 stars is a little generous but we didn’t order pizza so we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. We got the chicken parm, eggplant parm and garlic bread. They were all subpar and forgettable. I should’ve known dinners are not their strong suit since they don’t have other staples on their menu like chicken Francaise or marsala but whatever. Lesson learned.

Love the square extra large pie! It’s pretty thin so we usually don’t do toppings but boy is it tasty!

We went here on a whim and in a hurry… This is not a by the slice kinda place, and they said they only did whole pies but we said what the heck, since it smelled so good! So it took around 15 minutes but while waiting we noticed a few things. First and foremost they had a meat slicer in the back and they were freshly slicing all their meats and cheeses! Secondly there was a large staff for a place with 4 chairs, which meant they were not only busy but very popular! When we got the pizza it was still piping hot! it smelt amazing, as we got the Luigi Special which was sausage, mushroom, and green peppers! I’m not usually a green pepper fan on the pizza so as per usual I picked it off and are it by itself… The pizza was all around amazing! The sausage was great! The crust was crunchy! The sauce and cheese was amazing! And the mushrooms were scrumptious!!! This place rocks and quite possible has some of the best pizza I have ever had, and I have had ALOT of pizza all over the world!!! If in Jersey, you have to try this place! Best ZA eva!

Best thin crust delivery pizza in the area by far. The person who wrote the bad review of one star was obviously in the wrong place as they don’t have wait staff! It’s a take out and delivery place only. Just ordered a pie from there and can’t wait for the delivery!

Delicious pizzas. My favorite is the white pizza with mozzarella ricotta cheese and basil, but Luigis offers a variety of specialty pizzas such as the chicken francaise, sausage & pepper pizza, barbeque chicken pizza, spaghetti & meatballs pizza, grilled vegetables pizza, and many others to satisfy your taste. Good menu choices as well and their tomato sauce is GOOD. As my grandmother used to say,” if you cant make tomato sauce you cant cook!” I Also recommend their chicken parmigian entrée and grilled chicken on your choice of salad. Easy casual dining.

Luigi’s serves pretty good thin-crust pizza. There is a lot of really excellent pizza in New Jersey. Luigi’s is not top tier but second tier. I think that it is as good as Vic’s in Bradley Beach. The other food is good, but the pizza is the best thing on the menu. The business is almost entirely take-out and delivery. The staff is good at estimating pick-up times, but on busy nights, you might wait for 5 to 10 minutes for your pizza. The staff runs the range from charming to rude; you never know what you’re going to get. But the pizza is consistently good.

Simply one of the best Pies to be had at the Jersey shore. This is a take out only place and a well kept secret. I compare the pies to a few joints on Staten Island which is quite an accomplishment.
