tl;dr version: Angela is an amazing stylist who can help update your look to something you want! If you are looking for someone with curly hair experience, she’s the woman you’re looking for!
Now… for the longer version. I started coming to Angela about 4 years ago, when I was desperate for a change and had no idea what to do with my curly hair. She has been great from the start. She took her time to get to know my style and understand the vision of who I want to be. She’s even been as kind as to help me avoid a few near misses in the past, something that not many stylist are willing to do for fear that they will lose your business. I came in with a wild idea once, trying to update my look to something that was a little drastic. Instead of just saying «Sure» she got to the heart of the issue. She figured out a new look for me that was age appropriate and would help me feel better about myself!
She’s a wonderful stylist who will take the time to teach your how to handle and maintain you cut and color. She keeps up-​to-​date on all the latest trends and is always looking for ways to improve her craft. I never leave feeling unsure of what we’ve done which is an awesome feeling. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about you and your look, Angela is the woman for the job!
** I should add that I move from the Oceanside area about a year ago to go back to LA and I still drive down JUST to get my hair done by her!

If I could give Angela more stars I would! I love her!!! It’s so hard to find a great hairstylist and I’m so thankful I found her. I can be pretty indecisive at times but know that I want to do something different with my hair. She always has great ideas and knows the latest hair trends.
This past summer my hair was ombré and I can’t tell you how many compliments I got. Once fall came around I went darker and absolutely loved it. She knew how to take my hair from a blonde to brunette without it being so shocking because she knows what colors go well with your skin tone. Needless to say she is amazing with color.
I highly recommend Angela. She’s very detail oriented and won’t let you leave until your hair is perfect. I always feel great whenever I leave the salon. Can’t wait for my next appointment :)

Angela is amazing! I didn’t love my curly hair until she got her hands on it. She is the only stylist that I have ever had that was trained to cut curly hair and I couldn’t be more happy with my hair since I’ve been going to see Angela. She is also an excellent colorist. I had her do ombré on me and it was perfect! I fully trust and recommend Angela!

I was a little nervous because it’s hard to find someone who is comfortable and knows how to work with Asian hair, but she showed me! I recommend Angela to all the Asian haired women and men out there.
Every time she’s done my hair (whether it’s cut or color) I get compliments form total strangers asking me where/​who did my hair! She is very precise and you can tell that she truly cares about her clients and their needs.
I never feel nervous in her chair. I’ve even told her to do what she thinks will look best and I completely trust her.
I always try to make an appointment with her whenever I go back down to the Carlsbad area.

It’s always a nerve wracking experience trying a new hair stylist but I was impressed by Angela right away. I have curly hair and sometimes its very challenging to find someone that knows how to make it look good! I especially like that while Angela does not have curly hair of her own — she took the time to familiarize herself with it and learn the best products and styles to make her clients happy. It was a great experience all around! Wonderful cut, friendly and professional and reasonably priced! Give her a call — you won’t regret it!

Curly-​haired girls, listen up! Think of all the scary reasons to avoid trying a new stylist or any hair stylist at all. Reasons like the fact that it seems like no one knows a thing about cutting curly hair and once it dries it looks crazier than before you got it cut. Reasons like you want to flaunt those curls in your own way but your hair-​cutting lady always gives you the same dumb layers that have less personality than slab of cement. Reasons like the person behind the chair hears the word «trim» and instead hacks off half the length of your hair.
Now, take all those scary thoughts, put them in a little bubble, and blow them away.
I’d like you to meet Angela. She is the sweetest, most conscientious, and attentive stylist a curly girl could hope for. She uses the Deva hair cutting technique, uses all the products to cleanse and set your hair, and, (if you are uninformed), she will walk you through the best way to use the products on your hair at home. She genuinely listens to your requests, she never pressures you into a look you aren’t comfortable with, and coupled with your requests and her skill, knowledge, and experience with curly hair, you will leave her chair extremely satisfied with the outcome.
She has been my go-​to hair lady for a year now. I have very curly hair. None of that «my hair is curly but only looks wavy/​frizzy» business. We’re talking botticelli. My mother, who says she has had more haircuts in the past year with Angela than she has had in her entire life, has corkscrew curls and is so thrilled that she finally has a stylist she trusts with her hair.
With all that said, I highly recommend you and all your friends give Angela a call and see how she transforms your hair into something you love. And, of course, she does straight hair too.
