Custom Property Brokers

Extremely unprofessional. John would not return my calls or emails and did not acknowledge me in his office. Very disappointing. There are plenty of property management companies who offer much better customer service and deserve the business.

Custom Property Brokers has been my property manager for 8 years, I have a 2.2% vacancy rate in that time. John runs a great organization and has a helpful staff and is always responsive to my requests and my tenant’s requests.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the negative reviews. John is nice enough on the phone, but in person it was obvious that he had already decided to blow us off as applicants before even submitting paperwork. I got the distinct impression that he didn’t like the looks of us. We are a young Latino family with two small children, one of which was with us in his car seat when we went to the office. We are self-​employed and he didn’t want to trust what we were saying. We returned the same day with our application and backed up our income remarks with all the documentation he asked for and then some, but this made no impact since he’d already made his decision about the kind of people he thought we were. Even though there were no other applications on the house we’d like to rent and we had everything he wanted plus double deposit if needed, he quickly backpedaled from originally encouraging us to get the application in (before he saw us) to saying that the process takes time, he couldn’t say when a decision would be made, and that I would need to call him to follow up. I should have suspected something was fishy when he said we needed to come into his office and meet with him to get the application. The woman who was in the office with him said nothing but watched our entire conversation and contributed smirks and unfriendly faces throughout the interaction. Completely unprofessional and I would say definitely unreasonably biased, if not downright discriminatory.

Totally unprofessional and unhelpful. Called to inquire on a rental property and John was incredibly rude. This company is NOT friendly towards young people, even reliable working professionals. They are biased and clearly don’t have much of a standard for customer service.

Absolutely, horribly, terribly unprofessional, rude, and extremely discrimentory. They have no business owning a business. I would be careful doing business, especially renting a home. I wouldnt be surprised if they took your money and ran.

Great place, they have so many rental properties and are dog and military friendly
