Unilocal should really have a zero star! My family and I went to go have some dinner and they had us waiting for 20 min without asking if we wanted water or anything! They weren’t even busy and there was 4 to 5 waitresses just standing there and laughing. Some people that were there after us were helped before us and by the time we walking out they still didn’t have their drinks. My dad was nice enough to give them just 5more min.

Been to this location before and the service was average. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this time was especially awful. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and say that it WAS a holiday, but definitely put a damper on my first Mother’s Day. Got there and waited about fifteen minutes for a table. Not too bad. The bad part was it took a while to get our drinks ordered, which was two hot chocolates and two waters. The girl came back and said they didn’t have anymore hot chocolate. Okay, so we ordered something different. No more than five minutes later, everyone around us had hot chocolate. So we asked another waiter, who ended up being our waiter, if they had hot chocolate. He said«yes, would you like some?» I said that the girl told us there was no more but it didn’t matter now because we were already paying for something else. Waited another hour before even ordering food. Tables who were seated thirty minutes after us were being served their food before we even ordered ours. We won’t be coming back. Holiday or not, it shouldn’t take an hour, and there’s no reason for putting any customer on the back burner.

Have eaten here numerous times. The food is ok but the wait staff has really fallen off in the last few months. Always come during off peak times, so I don’t know what the problem is. Now going to other places that are less convenient, but do a better job of taking care of the guests.

Worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to Horrible service Takes them forever to take your order And even longer to bring it to you Foods mediocre ATBEST!!! Watch out for them trying to sneak things into your receipt to make it a larger bill SNEAKY I’ve been here 3 times and they’ve struck out 3 times This Denny’s is close to my home but I’m gonna drive farther to go eat at another location if I want Denny’s again.

Hubs and I stopped for dinner around 830. Place was quiet and very few customers. Christian was our server. He was great at first. He was prompt with our drinks and getting our order. As soon as our food arrived we didn’t see him again. Well he never came back to the table to check in or to even refill our water. We were done for a good 5 minuets waiting for him to come with our slip and finally I got tired of waiting and had to ask the first person I saw. He was doing so well until the food arrived. You can do better!

My husband and I stopped in this morning around 8:30, on a rainy Friday… place was pretty full BUT we were sat in a booth(which) we asked for, prompt service with a smile from Becka. Coffee was hot and fresh, food was, well Denny’s! No complaints on this end, place was clean, staff was friendly and food was hot and made how I ordered it!

I was surprised at how nice the restaurant looked, but then, the nice stuff ended there. Our siverware was dirty and when they brought new silverware, the napkins had coffee stains on them. A fly kept hovering over our table. I ordered pot roast and it looked good on the menu. When my order came out, it was like a kids meal. I had a medical appointment earlier and I had to fast… so…I was REALLYHUNGRY by the afternoon. My portion was so small I had to go eat somewhere else. The lady at the check out asked me how the service was. I told her I was very unhappy. She told me «Well, next time it will be better.» I told her there would be no next time.

I probably am harder on this Denny’s then others. Because I worked here. And know how their systems work. Today was a busy sat morning. A usual thing. On today’s observation, the bus boys were on it! Clearing tables within seconds. Hostess was slow & wasn’t paying attention to what was open, & what section the just sat. She was setting up the wait staff to fail. You can’t seat 3 tables in same section at same time. Waiter was ok. He paid attention to half the table. My half had empty cups. I think they should have had a few more cooks for a sat. I think that was their hold up!

Piss poor service. They were quick with the drinks that’s about it. How long does it take for your server to take your order and bring you utensils? The poor excused for a manager looked like she didn’t care. If you dislike your job, QUIT.

Food did not look nice and neat on the plate they returned our order 3 times took them long time to make the burger all of us got our food except for my two cousins who had to wait almost an hour because the staff and cook had a mix up I would recommend IHOP on oceanside way more organized and all your food is ready at the same time nice and neat.

The one and only reason why we choose Dennys over every other breakfast place is because of there amazing ranch dressing. Called in a pick up order this morning, the woman offered avocado with my moons and I said no but I need a side of ranch. I always check my orders but couldn’t today cause for some dumb reason, she tied the bag in a double knot! Came home to discover no ranch!!! I am livid! Called them up right away and they said I can come pick it up and the guy apologized. I’m not packing my baby and toddler back up and driving across town again! Now I’m putting this in the fridge for my husband to eat later cause I CANT eat this without the ranch!!! Cooking bfast now, waste of fkn time and money!!!

Waiting for 15 mins for water and ice tea, now another 13 plus at this point for food. I understand restaurants and food shouldn’t take this long nor should service be neglected. It’s 1am and I know it isn’t busy so there’s no excuse whatsoever. It’s pure laziness and neglect to be honest. I have been to this location and brand before so I know how long it should to cook an entrée or bring our s beverage!

We like coming to Denny’s because it’s comfortable, close and consistent. As with many restaurants, they keep the AC too cold. Brrrr. They did adjust it for us, though! We’ll be back.

I love this Denny’s. We go at least once every other month roughly and some of the waiters seem to know us. The service every time I’ve went has been excellent! Always showing concern, checking on us. One girl even let me order from the senior menu. The menu options are bit skimpy though, but that’s up to the corporate office obviously. They really trimmed down the options whereas they upscaled the décor in the past few years. Atmosphere is lovely! As for the food, it’s been a hit, hit then the dreaded MISS! I guess it just depends on who the cook and server at the time is. Have been here at this location with amazingly cooked meals!!! And other times with shriveled potatoes, overcooked eggs, un-buttered toast, etc. That was actually our experience tonight unfortunately. We did come later than usual, between 8−9pm, so maybe there best cooks and servers are scheduled during the main dinner rush? Idk, that’s just a guess. So basically some times this is a 4 star, whereas other times it’s a 2, which is why I came up with 3, lol! :)

I have been to this place many many times, and the service was never speedy… but WOW… They have this new waitress«Ariel» and our service got worse, because we got situated in her section twice now, and boy am I PISSED! This last time we went, it was about 11:15PM and we would expect that since there ware hardly any customers, and what appeared to be ample staff, that we would be served politely and swiftly, but were certainly wrong. Some people, myself included just shouldn’t be in the service industry. I tried being a server in a restaurant, and I can honestly say that I sucked at it, and would never do it again. This Ariel waitress needs to come to the same realization. Took forever to get our coffee. Despite being seated in a place where I can see her running back and forth like she has no idea what she’s doing. I called someone else over, whom I can only assume was the manager for this shift, and she had the girl bring us our coffee… after having to make a new pot because she brought everyone else theirs first. Even tho we were like the 2nd table seated… but whatever… When we finally got our food order in, she walked away and didn’t come back for a really long time. we needed our water and coffee refilled while waiting. Now. I SAW the cook put our food up onto that counter ledge… and it sat there… and sat there… and sat there… ANDSATTHERE for, I kid you not, TWENTYMINUTES before this ditz picked it up and brought it to us! Naturally I made a complaint about the food being COLD because it sat up there for 20 minutes between prep and delivery. Also the eggs on my skillet were supposed to be scrambled… but, so as not to appear to be «that customer» I didn’t return it. Not for being cold and not for the really SMALL portion I got. for the same skillet I always order… Whatever! I didn’t say anything… UNTIL I WASPULLINGHAIROUTOFTHEFOOD! At that point I was like«Oh hell no» and I had to say something and have the food returned. The cook did up a new skillet and I had to sit there and eat ALONE because my hubby was already finished eating by then and was agitated because he likes to go out and smoke after eating so I had to rush thru my meal. it was horrible. And I got photos.

Always ask for TAYLOR, she is the best server. My niece loves her and she is great with kids. But the reason for two stars was due to a fly being in my nieces Mac n cheese. The manager comes over and says oh we took care of her(my nieces meal). This completely made me pissed, that she would think I’m stupid. 1st off kids eat free from 4pm-10pm, so thanks for acting like you did us a favor. I even told her right to her face that my nieces meal is free and she said oh well we took off her drink and grapes. Oh really so you took $ 2 dollars off. Wow. Probably will never come back due to how the manager acted like she was doing us a favor and thinking we are idiots. Also my meal was not even a full plate of food and they forgot my peppers that should of been on top of my food. I can’t believe how the manager treated us. If anything go to the Denny’s off 5 freeway and harbor dr.
