Dollar Tree

I wish I could give zero stars to this place, more specifically to the staff that stopped me when I was leaving and accused me of STEALING, embarrassing me in front of everyone inside the store. I went in Friday afternoon, after work, around 5:20pm and was in the store for no more than 5 minutes because I was looking for a specific item. Since I didnt find what I was looking for I left. When I was by the door, an older male staff (about 40 – 50) stopped me and asked me if he could help me with something, I replied no thanks, I didn’t find what I was looking for. He asked me if I always went into a store without buying anything. I replied yes, if I don’t find what I was looking for. Then he proceeded by saying that if he looked at his cameras, would he find me ducking something into my purse, because he said he saw me putting something into my purse. I was so confused, SO EMBARRASSED. I responded that he could go ahead and check, that he could call the police, since they were so close, to come and check my purse if he wanted. He said, «no its okay.» Then why did he stop me in the first place if he was so sure! I told him that I could go into any store I wanted and leave if I didn’t find something I wanted to buy. He replied that this was his store, that he was the OWNER, and that he didn’t have to let in anybody he didn’t want. THE OWNER.
Now, I cannot be sure if he was the owner, but if he is, he is the worst type of owner, absolutely no customer service! I have emailed Dollar Tree’s corporate offices about my experience. I do not wish any person to be treated this way, so I write this review to warn you all. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS DOLLAR TREE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ACCUSED OF STEALING JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T BUY ANYTHING.

They should allow negative star ratings. I would give this place and its employee a negative 50 stars Bought some lemon candies here today. When I opened the bag in the box, they were stuck together and BROWN. I brought it back to show them so that they can take them off their shelf. The old guy that works there said there was nothing wrong with them and refused to remove them from the shelf and with a total attitude about it! Seriously??? I said lemon candies shouldn’t be brown. They are obviously bad. He says I’m ASSUMING that they ARENT supposed to be brown. For REAL??? Lemon candies are supposed to be BROWN. What a joke. Seriously. They clearly don’t care if they get anyone sick just to make a buck. They can keep my buck I wasted since they clearly need it so badly that get are willing to risk people’s health over it… jeez… Don’t buy stuff from here.

I don’t know why I don’t shop here more often because even though everything is a dollar they have some quality items. I think this is way better than the 99 cent store even though its smaller and not as popular. I’m just really impressed with the Dollar Tree because the store is clean and there isn’t anyone at the front of the store asking for money.
The store is kind of tucked away in a corner of a shopping center near the library and the police station. The parking lot isn’t so bad but it’s not big like the 99 cent store. I didn’t see many employees but the ones that I did see they were working and not on their cell phone texting. I like the Dollar Tree for what it is and will continue to shop here when I need a little something.

As everyone already knows, dollar tree sells things for a buck, everything is a dollar. So that is no surprise. However, this location is the BEST location around. The manager is absolutely amazing. We always have great conversations and he always welcomes me with a smile. He orders the best things and makes sure everything is always in stock. He pays close attention to what is popular and makes sure his store never goes without it. I’ve noticed that this store carries things that other stores do not (like the cute mason jar cups I just adore) I seriously will never go to any other location. Ever. If you’re looking for the best dollar tree in North County San Diego, this is the one! I’ve been to ALL of them haha. You will not be disappointed!

This is a great store. I love the deals. Its clean and neat. The employees are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the lines are a bit long at times. Thumbs up.

Great customer service and everything is a buck, can’t beat that! Went in real quick and found exactly what I was looking for and the gentleman by the name of Antonio rung me up and he was friendly and efficient.

We love DT. Cards, trash bags, holiday items, and all kinds of stuff we need (and sometimes don’t) for ONLY $ 1

Love this location and how nice all the cashiers are. Even the manager is very cool. Don’t go to the one on Oceanside Blvd though, the store sucks and the people that work there are rude as all hell!

Wow! Everything is a Dollar! My first visit, and will not be my last, I was Amazed at the values abound!!! Lots of great deals on Gift paper, bags, ribbon, etc. All $!
I picked up cleaning supplies, some manilla envelopes, plastic containers, wrapping paper, foil, paper towels, napkins, etc. So my big total at the check out, drum roll was $ 17.00 Oh and I got one of those big Tin Turkey Pans $ 1, at the market they are usually $ 4 – 5 dollars… Score!

I like this Dollar Tree!
Whether you’re a crafter, a teacher, or a Mommy on a budget they have everything you may need.
It’s always clean, the staff is friendly, and they don’t run out of stocks of items I frequently buy.
TIP: Some of their nail polishes work really well! Once, I found a China Glaze one! Score!

This is probably my favorite Dollar Tree location. The store is very clean and organized. The line moved quickly and the employees were very friendly. I also think it’s cool that they have a frozen food section! No complaints here. :-)

Ended up coming out with nothing. Great selection of items minus gift bows because that’s what I came in for initially. Their gift bows suck.
I do like how they have a pretty good selection of refrigerated and frozen foods however, being a dollar store.
This place actually has a ton of useful stuff for the low low price of [1] Washington bill. Oh, and since we’re in the great state of California — BS 8.75% sales tax.

Parking could pose a problem during busy hours. The store is very clean (just opened) and organized. Customer service is OK. I would return to this location.

Great store! I have been to a lot of Dollar Tree’s across America (one of only two places I can find Rip Its) and was impressed by this new location. It’s very clean, bright and super organization (with signs over each section of the rows). As always, I love going to the DT and coming away with random stuff, like glow in the dark wands, jumping beans and dancing solar flowers.
