I had a very rude experience walking into the store on May 26, 2012 at around 5:45pm in Everything A Deal at Oceanside CA. I was very upset due to the way the management treated me. There was an incident due to my son accidentally dropping one of the tester cologne in the store which I understand that as a consumer I should be responsible for the damage. However, I just do not understand how come your manager Cande(Candedad) stated that«you are responsible for it and you should be watching your kid.»”” It was very rude and not accepatable for your manager Cande to judge my way of raising my kids in front of the whole store instead of her taking me to side and talking to me in private. Instead, she made it known that my son broke the cologne tester and I needed to pay for it. When we approached her register, she did not even bother trying to assist us in paying for all of our merchandises. She stated that««I only handle returns» and made us go to a separate line. I believe this customer service is not acceptable and she is assumming we are not a valued customer. May I add, there was no signs in the store indicating that if my son broke anything that we are responsible for it. Therefore, she wanted us to pay for it without any type of evidence stating we are responsible for the damage. I use to work in retail for T.J. Maxx for over 2 years and if we were to speak that way about any customers, we would get let go. We also are not suppose to judge or comment on how parents are watching their kids. Keep in mind, we are all parents in some way and being humiliated in front of other people regarding our children is not appropriate as a consumer. I am more upset that she was rude not the fact that I needed to pay for it which I did during this visit. There customer service is awful here and they do not seem to care about their consumers. instead, they would utter things in Spanish and expect us not to know they are talking about us. Poor Customer Service but decent prices.

Customer service straight sucks. The only half way decent thing about this place is some of their rare cute clothing finds(don’t ask the salespeople for help trying to find something unless you want an eyeroll and something muttered in Spanish [yes, I understand how you said ‘stupid lady, find the sh*t yourself’]). Not going back, since 1) the earrings I got broke and gave me a reaction. 2) the shirt I bought REEKED of old musk even after I washed it 3) CUSTOMERSERVICE! If I wanted to get treated like crap, I’ll go and ask for it.

Although, they have SOME cute clothing and $ 1 accessories. Customer Service is EXTREMELY lacking. You can find something better elsewhere for $ 5 and the tags aren’t ripped out to prevent you from seeing sizes/brand name.

Beware clothes on sale racks, most have tiny holes or marks on them. Staff is usually too busy joking around with each other in another language to help you so don’t bother asking. I have found some good stuff(few and far between) for cheap here, none made in the USA of course, but the customer service is always very sub-par. All of the shoes are 9.99 final sale but most are marked up and worn looking, resembling something you would find at Goodwill or a yard sale. — — — — — — — — — — Edited to add: The owner sent me a very nice message on Unilocal and assured me he would address the customer service issues so hopefully the CS at this location will improve in the near future.
