Anything nail related I would t recommend because they are no different than the next nail salon with the exception of being higher priced. The three stars are for the waxing and other treatments.

This is a just your general run of the mill nail salon/spa. The prices are not outrageous, but what you save is definitely made up for in the customer service department. I ended up waiting 20 mins for a pedicure, which is understandable on a weekend, but when I was finally called, it felt more like I was being herded for slaughter than being escorted to a pampering station. As for the pedicure it wasn’t bad, but the extra foot massage I paid $ 10 for was lackluster to say the least. I figured I would give them a try, but they definitely disappointed and I will continue to use Capri Nails down the road.

Horrible! Over priced, they didn’t listen to how I wanted my nails, and the polished literally peeled off the arcyrlic, when that has never once happened to me. I will never go back.

First, they make you sit and put your feet in the water before telling you there’s a 15 min wait. Then they rush you through your pedicure. It was barely a pedicure no leg massage, scrubs, moisturizer, nothing. Don’t waste your time coming here.

Just awful. I accidentally got some wet, red toenail polish on one of their white foot towels at the pedicure station and the manager started yelling at me(loudly) in front of the other customers while I sat there not really knowing what to do. Low class is a good description of this nail salon. Rude manager and rude staff as well. I ended up telling the manager off and leaving. Horrible, horrible experience. Worst time I have ever had in any nail salon. Go elsewhere.

I had the best experience here. They are a tiny bit on the high side but for the service and attention to detail you get it is worth it. The woman who did my nails was very helpful and professional. She suggested colors to me until I could find the right one. She was friendly and attentive and my nails came out great and stayed great for several weeks after. This is the only place I am getting my nails done! The atmosphere is great. I did go in when it was a bit empty so I am curious to see how the atmosphere changes when they are super busy.

I have been going to Ivy for over two years. Granted they still don’t know me by face but honestly I could care less, they are consistent with treating me well and taking care of my hands and feet. Consistently they are always been good to me and my children every time I go. I will admit they are a bit more expensive than most salons, they can take forever, and if you want your callous’ removed you must specifically ask for it or they will only pumas your feet. The callous remover is an extra $ 10-but definitely worth it. My nails on the average with just mani and pedi last for over a week. Their nail polish lasts, whatever it is that other salons do to extend the life of the polish is NOT done at Ivy. So a polish will last over a week or so. Even my 9 and 6 year olds can tell the difference. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they do take at least 1 hour for mani pedi… it takes sooo long!

I came in at 6:15 and they close at 7:00. All I wanted was a pedicure and eyebrow waxing. Normally you can go in any respectable nail salon and get services done even five minutes before close. But they rushed me through the whole thing. At 7 months pregnant, all I wanted was a relaxing pedicure after a long work day. They rushed my pedicure and I had to tramp through all the vacuum cords, chairs, and everything just to try and make it to the back where she BUTCHERED my eyebrows. I was so upset. They let me sit to dry my pedicure for about 30 seconds before they sprayed my feet with this stuff(that is probably not suited for pregnant women) and forced me to leave. It wasn’t even 7:00 yet when they rushed me out. I also saw everyone who got a manicure or pedicure getting a long massage while their nails dried. I was looking forward to that. But no massage for me. I will never go back.

I love this salon! I’ve read the other reviews and have to say I wasn’t there so it’s unfair to pass judgment on a business based on an encounter in which you’re not an involved party… That being said; I love Ruby and when I can’t see her I’m treated very well by the others. The spa pedicures are soothing with crystal gel that is warm and relaxing, they use oils and all sorts of treatments to soften your skin and remove callouses. I get gel manicures and haven’t been painted better elsewhere. I wouldn’t get my nails done anywhere else if your from the Oceanside area. And remember the feedback you give is based on your experience, otherwise it’s hearsay…

If you are a customer of Ivy Nails in Oeanside, I highly suggest that you find another place to go. Keep reading for why-I was finishing up a manicure and a young man walked in. He asked for the owner or manager and after being given the runaround for a minute or two, one of the ladies at the desk said she was a manager. He politely explained that he had purchased his wife a gift certificate for a spa service but that she could not use it because she was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier in the week. He explained that she could not have any thing on her skin and was simply asking for a refund on his gift card because there was no way it could be used. The manager was extremely rude, accusing him of lying, telling him that he could not speak to the owner, not telling him when he might hear back from the owner about a possible refund and telling him that they require a doctors note stating that his young wife had cancer. I was disgusted! I asked the man how much his certificate was for because I wanted to help him out but it was much more than I needed and although appreciative, wanted the refund. He then mentioned that he came home to his crying wife on Tuesday telling him of her diagnosis while holding their 2 month old child. She turned her back on him and he walked out, visibly upset. I was livid, shaking and so incredibly angry about how someone could be treated so badly and without any compassion. I told the manager that after my manicure, this would be the last time she would see me and I would tell all my friends and ask them to tell their friends. She said she didn’t care and told me it was none of my business. GUESSWHATLADY??? ITISMYBUSINESS and it’s going elsewhere!
