We were excited to try this place bc of what we read about their coffee options and since we had never been here we only had TWO questions for the lady who works there but she was not friendly with her answers. Her answers were very contrived and vague. She seemed annoyed at us asking anything. We did not like how she responded to us. Consider being friendly to those are new faces to your establishment, not just those who frequent it. They once were new customers also.

Love this cute little local treasure the ladies here are so sweet and prompt with service. I like that they offer almond milk and coconut milk as well as a great variety of breakfast treats.

Super friendly & courteous staff. Did I mention. .. Great Coffee, as well ? My BFF and I usually, always, stop here for our lattes before heading over to Don’s Country Kitchen for breakfast on the weekends … so that we can sip our drinks while waiting for a table. Mmmm … nothing better than that … on a weekend morning ! If you are ever in the neighborhood … You should give it a try !

This place is great! Great selection of custom drinks, fun ambiance, and best of all great tasting coffee. I’ve been here many times, it’s like cheers meets the morning crew. Everyone’s friendly, suggestive to help you with your order… if you need it before you’ve fully woken up, and knowledgable when it comes to your coffee. My favorite drinks are the Cabo when it’s cold out and the iced Hawaiian for those laid-back warm summer mornings. Either way, whatever it is you decide to go with you won’t be sorry you tried something new.

The owner is really sweet! Neat little place with little nooks and crannies for hanging out. Good drinks and snacks. A little off the beaten path and definitely not a Starbucks! Which is wonderful!

DELICIOUS coffee. I only gave 3 stars because of the price and the hours are a little weird. Their drinks are so worth it though.

Definitely a funky/cute little neighborhood spot. The interior is a mix of kitsch, Island and local flavor, and it’s the farthest thing from a slick corporate coffeehouse. It’s situated on a side street, and unfortunately its visual neutrality makes it blend in so much that it’s easy to overlook. In fact, I assumed it might be a closed business, until I saw someone walk in. If you want to avoid pretension and you’re not too insane about having the ultimate«third-wave» coffee experience, it is a good little local business to support. The coffee isn’t bad(I am a serious coffee snob), and the ladies making coffee and sandwiches behind the counter are very nice. They also kick it up a bit with their signature coconut whipped cream on your drinks. You could do worse(aka, Starbucks) and drive farther for less, so save yourself the trip and check out the Hut instead.

Easily the best coffee ever! It makes Starbucks taste dull and boring. Addicted to their Hawaiian blend. The jalapeño bagels are really yummy too. Kona Hut always has a friendly staff and positive vibes!

Kona Hut is one of those cozy cafes you just love living close to. My husband and I like to frequent Kona on the weekends, especially when they’re offering their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches. Enjoy your sandwich with a piping hot mocha(with coconut whipped cream!) and take some time out of your morning to relax in the cozy Hawaii-inspired atmosphere with the other locals. There’s a group of people I always see when I stop by, and the gals who run the place know all of their names by heart, including what they usually order. That’s the kind of charm you won’t find at a Starbucks. Kona Hut’s policy on debit/credit cards is that you must pay with cash if you spend under $ 5, which is reasonable but they also offer a system where you can pay up front($ 25 or more, I think) and just put it on your tab every visit. That way, if you generally only stop in for a coffee or something less than $ 5, you don’t have to worry about bringing cash. I love supporting small businesses and would pick Kona Hut over a Starbucks or Coffee Bean any day. Shop small and local!

Best. Coffee. Ever. Hands down. Their coconut whipped cream is so good that it’s worth the extra calories and Kona Hut is the only place I get whipped cream put in my coffee. When my mom and sister visited me a few years ago, I brought them here for coffee before our walk at the beach. Now it’s mandatory to come here during every visit. My sister was actually upset when she was here two weeks ago and showed up past 12pm to find the shop closed. It’s that good. The pricing is great and the service is super friendly. Kona Hut is place to go for coffee.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. The ladies that work there are ALWAYS super friendly and the coffee is wonderful. I like that its local owned and not a chain store that does not care about its customers. Whenever my Husband and/or I are in the area we make sure to start our morning off right… by stopping in here. you should too!!!

When I was in town for work this was my stop every morning! The service was great and you could see the connection the workers had with their regulars(which it seemed like everyone in there was!). My mocha was perfect and if I am ever in town again I will HAVE to stop again!

This is where you go to drink coffee and enjoy some time. They have a cool lay out, the owner is usually there serving the coffee and there is a group of gentlemen that have made this their claim. Most other coffee places feel so pretentious nowadays. I feel comfortable and not rushed meeting friends. No afternoon coffee dates here though. They close midday.

This is a cute little coffee joint in Oceanside! On our way up to Orange County to hang out with some friends on the 4th we stopped here and grabbed a coffee. The people that work here are super nice and the coffee is great and affordable. I will definitely stop here again if i am in the area for a good cup of Joe !

This place has the coolest front door. Huge, wooden, lots of detail and painted purple– my favorite color. I would like a door like this on my future house someday. There is lots of seating. It’s a home-y feel. They aren’t progressive or urban feeling, which is a nice change. Sometimes you don’t want that. They have a box of index cards that is the«credit box». Pretty much you pay $ 25, put your name on a card and keep it in the box. Every time you come back you can just take your coffee off the tab! How cool is that? Super cool in my books and a great way to get to know a local, small business owner. They have a pretty good menu. I haven’t tried their special creations yet, but I will be back to do so. They have muffins, bagels, pastries and I saw quiches on the menu. QUICHES?!? The way to my heart. I could solely survive on them. I’m a fan! You should be too… *If paying with a card it has to be $ 5 minimum. Bring a couple of dollars or change instead; you’ll be fine!

Stopped in the Kona Hut a few times and I really like the vibe. I think it captures what Oceanside could be if it weren’t so ghetto. The coffee is top quality, their food is tasty and the people are super friendly. Kona Hut is a great local place that’s 100% doing it right.
