Today I was referred to Dr. Jacobs to handle a procedure that needed to be addressed quickly. I had no appointment, and ended up only having to wait 15 – 20 minutes to be seen. His staff was friendly and made it happen. Dr. Jacobs was very comforting and handled my procedure quickly and carefully. I am already feeling so much better. Thank you Dr Jacobs and team for the wonderful care today. I am so grateful!!!

Dr. Jacobs is the best ENT Specialist in San Diego! Dr. Jacobs successfully diagnosed the source of my throat cancer (7 years ago+) by going through a painful (but necessary) procedure he was able to find it (the source) which was physically showing as a lump on side of my throat but the Source was actually on back of my tongue). He worked with my fantastic oncologist (Dr. Eva Lean) to set up the correct treatment to destroy the horrible carcinoma cell cancer with Chemo and Radiation and in just a few months I was 100% Cancer Free!
So do not hesitate. If you feel anything is wrong-​book an appointment and get the best man on your ENT situation as he will prove to be a most valuable person in your road back to full health! His Staff is also very friendly and makes the visit as good as it gets!
I also thank my wife Irene for making me in October 2006 go to see Dr. Jacobs. Guys like us feel we are «invincible» and I may have waited way too long to actually get it checked, but she insisted I get it checked… So early detection is the key to beating any cancer.
(And I do not smoke so why I got a throat cancer usually associated with smoking is puzzling… My brother died 2 years ago with Lung Cancer –smoked 2+ packs of Marlboros a day-​so please if you smoke stop today!)

Dr. Jacobs is a great Dr. and I have only seen him once. After undergoing a very painful procedure (packing) at the ER for a nosebleed my GP referred me to Dr. Jacobs when I was still having intense pain and bleeding after 3 days. They were able to squeeze me in the same day and take care of my problem within an hour. The Dr. told me everything he was going to do. When they took the packing out and I started to bleed again I got really worried but he assured me that he expected that to happen and that he was going to take care of it. He was so gentle and had a great bedside manner. He had to cauterize the vein and I felt absolutely no pain, even when he stuck a needle in my nose to numb it. I was amazed. Even my mother in law who is squeamish stayed in the room for the first part of the procedure and commented on how nice he was and how great he treated me and eased my fears. At one point he touched my nose when I had my eyes closed and I jumped. He apologized and said he should have let me know he was going to do that. I explained that I was sorry for asking so many questions, but after feeling horrible for three days I wanted to make sure I got all the facts. He told me not to worry and that he completely understood after what I had been through in the ER.
I would no hesitate to see Dr. Jacobs again!
