I read a fascinating blurb about how the store closed and the stock has been in storage for 30 years and is now available at great prices… so I trekked out to Oil City to find Scrooge. I really hoped I was finding a lost gem, but after the first few record covers I touched were wet(in the 1st bin by the new wave/adam ant records) I was starting to get the willies. I looked at every LP in «store»(it’s in the back of an indoor skate park) — the store was a mess filled with poor condition used LPs. A few records were interesting but almost every record cover was badly worn or torn at the seams. The records I found that I wanted had the wrong vinyl inside(sex pistols bootleg, bow wow wow)…and the ones that had the right vinyl were scratched beyond belief. The records were grossly overpriced considering their condition — the store is mostly $ 1 junk records with $ 10-$ 20+ price tags. Just because there is a vinyl revival doesn’t mean people will pay any price for any disc — sorry!

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Island Park, NY
It’s not really a record store. It’s a part of the oilcity skate park. It has a small selection. Also, as always check the records before you buy them.
