Under new management. Place is awesome. So far have had the carne, adobada, and carnitas both in burrito and taco form. Blows every other taco place away. Baja style street quesatacos are great. New owner is a super cool guy, service is awesome and all the meats are cooked to order, not sitting in a warming drawer like most taco shops. Don’t forget the michelada for lunch!

Chipotle chicken burrito was very delicious. I made it a wet burrito with freshly made chipotle sauce On top. they have different specials everyday at very affordable prices I will defiantly go back.

We ordered carne asada tacos and got some weird meat that for sure wasn’t carne asada! It got one star extra because they were nice.

Great breakfast burritos, made right then and there, and the best prices in town. We have only gotten breakfast burritos, so I can’t write this review on anything but that. The breakfast has been excellent. We always take it to go. The inside of the place is nothing special, it’s not like we go there for the ambiance.

Food wise, the place is ok. Nothing special but no real failures as of yet. The place is old and dark inside, with copious amounts of hand written signs conveying the menu. Some of the signs and pictures look older than my daughter! Owners brother was doing the books when i came in for a breakfast burrito. He is very friendly and enjoys what he does. Refreshing. Worth coming back to try something else. As evidenced by the all signs, I think they offer beer as well… lol

Has about 14 tables, half are light colored tops, the other dark tops. It had a bit of a «dive» atmosphere to me, when I first stepped inside the restaurant. After talking to the friendly owner-cook, I was put at ease.. Prices are economical, breakfast burrito cost $ 2.75 compared to Roberto’s Tacos across the street at $ 5.10. Menu items are written on paper and cardboard, scattered all over the front of the kitchen, kinda hiding the kitchen(that in itself did not instill confidence). Owner-cook is very friendly. The place gives the appearance of a real Mexican fast food restaurant. No waitress service, you go to the counter to order. You do have a lot of choices on the menu order board, lots. Prices are reasonable. Wife order Carne Asada taco, it was good. I ordered Beef Tongue tacos plate with rice and beans. The tongue was not the typical boiled tongue I am used of getting at other taco places. This was prepared fried with spices, it was good. Not complaining, just to let you know, it is different. Loved the rice and beans. The beans not the typical re-fried beans, but beans from the pot. I liked them. The restaurant has two bathrooms, but you need to ask for the key first. The customer ahead of me, conducted the business in Spanish and so did I, the owner can also speak English.

Owner awesomely nice. 4 people eat for $ 15. Kitchen /Grill clean. Fish Tacos, Cerviche, Quesadills’s good. Only difference is the beans don’t have that lard which sadly I prefer. Great selection of cervesa’s and Juaritto’s. This guy is open till 10PM. He doesn’t rush to close like a teenager trying to be done with their shift.

Love this place! Asada burrito fresca is so darn good, and the tacos are perfect. We come here at least once a week. The horchata is good as well :)

For the prices this is a really good Mexican food place to stop by. 3.50 for a decent California burrito sure can’t beat it. It doesn’t taste like a regular burrito which I think is why I like it. I don’t recommend the beans or rice. The beans are runny and the rice isn’t real Spanish rice. I will deff come back.

friendly service, but very disappointing food. rolled tacos came with 1 tablespoon of guacamole, beans tasted burned, & shrimp burrito didn’t actually have any shrimp in it… rather pieces of fried bread that tasted fishy.

If you are looking for an AWESOME run down, hole in the wall, mom & pop, authentic SoCal Mexican joint you can take your homies(or whatever) out to lunch at to drink a beer, enjoy some fresh fish tacos, and watch ESPN in espanol: THISISTHEPLACE. Juan, who was on duty when I came in, fixed me up a pure Mexican meal with an ice cold Negra Modelo for only $ 7. I’ll be back…

I surf in Oceanside often and have always gone to the many drive through Mexican places but once I walked into this place I knew I hit the jackpot. —-It’s one of those hole in the walls you just have to tell your friends about. — - The staff was super nice and the meal was even nicer. Their seven seas soup and the tacos reminded me of Baja and the bacon wrapped shrimp was oh so good. I am never eating anywhere else in the town now. It would be a really bad thing if I lived near this place.

This might possibly be the best Mexican food in Oceanside.
