I am so sad Long Boarder closed. I live right down the street(I am a local) and went there all the time and took family there every time they came into town. Dino’s is VERY expensive and caters to tourists NOT the locals. I will not be eating at Dino’s and I will discourage visitors, friends, and family from going. Dino’s will do okay during tourist season, but just wait until winter when all the tourists are gone. They won’t stay in business long with those prices! This is Oceanside not Delmar… Dino’s. Oceanside has more locals that have been living here forever. It’s a small beach community that only has tourists three-four months out of the year. Long Boarder please come back!!! All the locals miss you!!!

This place was ok. My Monterey Bay scramble was just so-so; the shrimp were rubbery. The rest of my family liked their breakfast. I will say we were there entirely too long; almost an hour to order and receive our food.

The blonde hostess has completely ruined this spot for me which is so sad because I’m a regular, and this is my second time here this week but after today i wont be back. Not only was I treated poorly but the hostess asked me To wait out side while it was drizzling and i had my baby, but the whole time she glared at us annoyed i asked to talk to a manger but i was told they were to busy!!! There definitely needs to be some staff training or maybe a new hostess!

Love this place. Come here about once or twice a year. Heard about this place from a friend about 6 years ago. Usually come and have breakfast/brunch. They’ve moved to a new location which I visited today. Prices are good and the food is good. Had the biscuits gravy and over easy eggs. Pretty much just breakfast every time I go. It’s my comfort place I go to cause I know it will be the same every time I go. If your looking for a nice little up beat atmosphere with great staff and decent food check it out. Cause let’s face it their is a lot of places who can’t do breakfast right and this place can.

My absolute favorite spot! I went here for bfast with a friend while on vaca from Georgia. The service was awesome, the food was delish and the bacon cldn’t be any more perfect. They have an outside patio which is awesome and some stools on surfboard type bar to eat and stare out. The staff is absolutely phenomenal, starting with the hosting and down to servers and to top it all off, the owner is sweet, friendly, fun and extremely patient(as I noticed her treating an a-hole customer with the utmost respect. I tried the egg breakfast, the french toasts and it was great… the mimosas r even better. I come from a family who owns food establishments so my marks tend to b high in regards to service and atmosphere but the environment at The Longboarder left me yearning for more. The day before my departure from Southern Cali I went back and took some friends and just had to compliment the server I had the previous visit. Little did I know it was the owner herself. Absolutely amazing! Great location, friendly staff, crispy bacon cooked to perfection. Thank you guys so much for such an awesome experience.

My family and I had breakfast here one morning and found the place nearly empty. Their eggs benny did not taste that great(I think the hollandaise sauce was too salty and thick, not creamy). I found their items to just be average but too pricey. Service was good though.

Came here for breakfast w/the family before heading home to LA& was super impressed w/the almond french toast & hefty side of bacon. It’s standard american breakfast food but done really well — nothing overly fancy just good food that is on point. The restaurant has a really nice, clean, breezy feeling & offers bar seating that faces the street for prime ppl watching.

The service is good, very friendly and attentive. But they don’t have«fresh» orange juice, even though that’s how it’s listed on the menu. Fresh OJ is a must for breakfast. The food is average, just had an omelette. The hot chocolate my son ordered was great though.

I’m throwing down 5 stars because: 1) the tuna melt was absolutely perfect. 2) our waitress was friendly and fast. 3) my kona longboard bottle was ice cold. as was the chilled glass. nice job, longboard café!

Visited March 10, 2014 time 1:15pm Wife and I came across this place while visiting Oceanside to see the famous«Top Gun» house, so we thought to give this place a try. Here is reason why I give it a four. I ordered the chili burger and my wife had the turkey melt. We both cleaned out our dishes. It was really tasty. I never seen nor had a chili burger. I was impressed. My wife loved her turkey melt especially the bacon and sourdough. Fries did come with it but for the price, I feel that there should be another side but overall it’s typical for the prices they are asking because it is Oceanside and a tourist hotspot. One thing we thought was great, it serves breakfast all day! Server was great and did her job well. She was really friendly and reminded us to be aware of time for the parking officer so we don’t get a ticket. Enjoyed our time Clean restaurant, welcoming feeling.

I came across this place at random while I was getting my car worked on down the road. The placed looked clean and seemed friendly so we decided to give it a try. When we walked up there were 3 girls at the entrance, none of which greeted us. A little rude but it wouldn’t stop us we were starving. After being seated I was very delighted by all the art work on the walls. The décor of the place is very peaceful. After ordering, I became more aware of the vibe the employees were giving off. A self-absorbed hipster café. Just my opinion. The food was nothing special, a little overpriced but then again it’s right on the beach. After finishing our meal we were forced to wait about 15 mins until we finally got our bill. What really pissed me off was when I paid her she asked me if I wanted my change. Very rude!!! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The only reason the place gets 2 stars is mostly because of the beautiful paintings and because I didn’t get sick.

In trying to explore more of Oceanside I decided to check this place out for breakfast. I got there around 9am(on a Thursday) and the restaurant only had a few patrons there. The morning was gorgeous so we sat outside, which is a nice little area. I ordered coffee and the country omelette breakfast. My husband orders the country breakfast. Food: very delicious! My husbands also came with a side of fresh fruit. Yum! Portion sizes are perfect. Not overloaded, but depending on your appetite you could end up taking some leftovers home. My omelette was wonderful and my hashbrowns cooked perfectly; I asked for extra crispy and they hit it spot on. Service: very nice. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Refilled coffee without asking, pointed out some of her favorite items on the menu — pretty much everything I expect in a waitress. Atmosphere: casual and comfortable — perfect for an easy breezy breakfast. Very pleased with our experience at this café, plan on returning, and would definitely recommend. Especially if you’re looking for a bite before hitting up the Farmers Market.

My child and I discovered this place whilst on our way home from a trip. We had never heard of it and decided to get off on the next exit and find breakfast. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My kiddo had a food request that was obliged and our food was reasonably priced. My daughter enjoyed her Mickey Mouse pancake and French toast and hot chocolate. I liked my croissant and sausage, although the eggs and country gravy were just okay.

Longboarder needs to take a long nap with the fishes. It’s gone way way downhill. It’s a shadow of it’s former self and has fallen from glory in all categories. Hostess, servers, kitchen all are lacking. I used to think the bathrooms were quirky and coolish, but now looking back at how they are right next to the kitchen it’s very weird. Also the way the doors swing open and closed can and do lead to scary moments for all. Do not eat or go inside if wearing cycling cleats, the tile is extra bad for walking on(no real judgment on that here). The wait time was pretty normal, but the unprofessional hostess’ were chatting of highly personal info loud enough for all to hear, kids included. No real system for wait times, and they never checked their chart in the 1st place. Server took 15 minutes to introduce himself, 10 to allow us to order and 25 to get standard items. A large group ahead of us likely slowed the kitchen down, but that is no excuse for the delays in introduction and whatnot, did not request to refill my water. The toast was barely warm, butter was non existant, hashbrowns burned and lacking consistency and flavor. Corned beef hash was generic, but they got the sunny side up egg spot on. They completely forgot the hollandaise sauce on my the omelet. This place used to compete with Swami’s and beach Break, but has fallen mightily. I’m a tipper coming from the service industry and I was tempted to leave a measly few bucks because the service is poor, quality of food was mediocre and the way times were unacceptable. You have lost my vote of confidence.
