I am not normally a huge Thai food fan(my husband drags me there usually) but I looooved this place. They have Thai, Vietnamese and chinese food. The egg rolls were fresh and delicious !! I ordered chicken pad Thai(no spice) and anyone who is in easy about Thai food would love it. My son got cashew chicken(level 7). And he said it was just ok. Daughter got kung pao chicken and it delicious. Service was very very slow(so don’t be hurried) but it was worth the wait. Add to it that it was Christmas Day lunch and there 7 other families eating too!

We have been going to this restaurant about twice a year for the past several years. Its become part of our visit to Oceanside. They serve Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese and Japanese food. At first I thought that odd, like how can they do a good job at each of those. But they do. We usually order a combination of thai and chinese foods. We really like the egg foo young. For dessert we often order sticky rice and mango. We go there for dinner and it is very rarely busy. It is not really on the busy side of town. More people should try it!

Best place Iv ever eaten at! Been coming here since 2012. Even after moving to fallbrook I still drove all this way just to eat here almost every week when I was pregnant! Mama is so kind she considers my son her grand baby since I was always eating here during my pregnancy. All the food taste so fresh and doesn’t take long at all. Nice quite area and even plays any games that might be on tv if you ask to watch it while you eat.

The food is absolutely amazing and the service is second to none. I will definitely be making the drive down from Orange County to eat here again. It is the most authentic Thai food I have had since Thailand.

Worst«red curry» ever. Tastes like gravy. Took 30 mins after we ordered to get. NEVER coming again. Yes, knew they were 3 stars after we arrived, that’s why we only ordered one entrée to share. Ordered fried rice, was served steam rice. Thanks for the«great«service.

I would never go back! I ordered food that came completely wrong! We got shrimp wontons instead of cream cheese was the first mistake. The wontons also had one small tiny shrimp inside which is also deceiving. The steamed spring roll had no flavor. The orange chicken was the worst flavoring I have had out of all the Chinese places in Oceanside. When I called back to get what we ordered the lady laughed at us and said she assumed that’s what we wanted. The service was terrible.

You can find this place hidden off of Mission Ave on your right hand side closest to the 101. I was quickly greeted by an Asian lady in which I felt that this place was it! I don’t know if its just the stereo type in me, but anytime I visit a foreign restaraunt and the actual nationality is working the place, I always get a sense of feeling that everything here is very much authentic! Lol There menu has a lot of options. Everything from phở, Chinese and Thai! Its like killing two birds with one stone!!! SCORE! :) I ordered the #19 which was a thick pad Thai noodle dish with medium spice, along with a Thai beer to wash it all down. The atmoahphere is a bit quiet with the sounds of the fish tank to drown out the silence. My food finally arrived which was pretty quick. She brought over all the spices to satisfy my needs without me asking. Now for the real test… I took my first bite. WOAHHH??? I was blown away with how tasty and flavorful this dish was! I couldn’t put down my fork and I plowed through them noodles like a mad man haha. I highly recommend you check this place out if your in the mood for some Asian foods. The service here is great and the owners know how to whip up a taste of their homeland!

When my boyfriend was stationed at Camp Pendleton he would come down here on the weekends to get away from base. He has been out of the marines for 2 years but we found ourselves back in the area and he said we had to come here for dinner. I was skeptical especially with the restaurants out dated décor but let me say don’t let the décor fool you. We had dumplings, chicken fried rice, & chicken pad Thai. Everything tasted SOFRESH! Nothing was greasy or artificial tasting. The pad Thai was not authentic tasted more like a lo mien but still delicious. Beyond the food and huge portions the service was great! The owner Lisa(I think that was her name) was so friendly and talked to my boyfriend as if she had known him forever. She kind of remembered him from the years he had come into her restaurant and talked to him like he never left. Great spot all around!

Slow service and horrible food. I can’t believe I agreed to try this place. I don’t think I would even go back if I was drunk.

Been here several times and their iced Thai tea is very big and not too expensive. All their Thai dishes are super yummy and pretty huge portions. The owner Linda is super sweet and everytime me and my man come in, she welcomes us and remembers us and treats us like her family. The phở is ok. Great customer service and good portions and food!

I use to hate Phở, but then I tried this place and it was great. I go back a couple times a month with my family and always get a order of their Phở. I have yet to try another place as good when it comes to Linda’s(owner) Phở.

Now I can’t speak for this restaurant’s Thai food, this review is 100% based on our take-out experience for their Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwiches. Upon arrival(6:00pm mind you on a Saturday night), there were NO diners in the entire restaurant. That should have been clue #1 not to order here. I ignored my initial worry & went ahead and ordered(4) grilled pork Bahn Mi sandwiches. I figured if they’re anything close to other Vietnamese Asian restaurants(they claim to be a Thai/Vietnamese restaurant), this should not be a difficult task, nor something I believe should take an extraordinary amount of prep time. …Well 40 minutes later, we finally get our order, and the size of their Bahn Mi sandwiches were surprisingly smaller than a kids elementary school hot dog!!! The sandwiches didn’t taste as expected as the sliced pork was cold! Again, they very well may have some outstanding Thai food, and if so, they should immediately stop selling Vietnamese sandwiches altogether as their customers will not be coming back for those, I can guarantee it! There was no advance warning upon ordering that I’d probably be able to bake an fresh apple pie including pre-heating my oven faster than it would take for them to prepare a pretty easy to make Bahn Mi sandwiches to-go. I’m sorry to report that this is not a restaurant which I will be returning to, not even to give their Thai food a try.

Like many before myself, the décor is a disaster. I’m a fan of small ma and pa places, but this looked like a few grade schoolers were hired to decorate. It also seems like a random retail store, in the showcase I’m pretty sure they just sell their lost and found boxes. Fair warning, be ready to spend at least $ 15 with a credit card if you forgot cash. I bought the Phở with shrimp and Thai Iced Tea to bring my total the $ 15.17. The Thai Iced Tea was humungous, so I’ll be sipping on it for a couple days. The Phở wasn’t too salty, mainly fresh, easy ingredients and taking it to go didn’t ruin the integrity of the food. I will check out Phở Oceanside to see how they are, since I wanted to initially, but, due to Labor Day were closed which prompted me to visit these guys. This place hit my craving I’ve had for days now, but, I’m not committing and going to date around a bit for some better Phở.

I’m waiting for my meal to get here so let’s look at the decorum. Super bright, neon everywhere, I also spy a sign in the wall advertising purses for sale. Um. Okay then… The Thai iced tea is actually pretty good, one of the better ones I’ve had. Now, due to the area we live in, naturally this place is inhabited by Marines. Fair deal, just get used to seeing the high and tights around. So it seems they are making these meals one by one. I can only hear one person bustling around the little kitchen in the back. Every now and then the waitress will come out with another single meal, sometimes two if they were the same thing. I’ve got to be honest though, its 9 at night on a Wednesday. Not a usually busy time. Alright so the food is here. About 20 minute wait time. Not that long. I got the special phở, which is the deluxe version apparently. Beef, brisket, and meatballs? That’s a new one. Anyways, the broth is pretty good, there’s a whole lot of noodles, but I feel they skimped on the meat. There was about half a meatball, two small pieces of beef, one piece of brisket, and some fat floating around. If I pay more for the special versus the normal, I kind of expect some volume with the variety. My friends ordered the pan nau and the kung pao chicken dinner special. The dinner special came with soup, rice, and an egg roll, and my friend claims the soup is amazing when mixed with a little soy and the homemade hot sauce. My other friend, a lover of spicy things, when told that his dish was a really spicy already, doubted it and asked for the spiciest sauce they had on the side. He’s eating his dish plain right now and visibly sweating, WITHOUT the sauce. I sniffed it when she brought the little container of it out and came away with my eyes tearing. The three of us got complimentary fried bananas, a nice touch, probably because it was a slow night. Price wasn’t too bad either. About 12 dollars for me, before the tip. Definitely not as bad as some of these reviews are saying. Most of them are pretty old. A nice little, homey dive to hit up every now and then.

Quaint place. It makes me think a 1970’s Chinese restaurant had a baby with an Elk’s club. I mean that in the best way. It was early and I was hung over and saw their phở sign on the street and didn’t look at the name before entering. What the hell, I’ll try it anyways. It’s primarily a Thai place that has some Chinese dishes and dabbles with Vietnamese. I was really bummed because I came in for phở and they only offered beef or chicken. The phở is good. The broth could use some more cinnamon, marrow and ginger, but still good. The noodles were impressive and the beef was just standard and over cooked. All in all, decent. Their lunch specials look like the best deal here. Cool place. It won’t knock your socks off, but a nice rotational place to eat for different atmosphere. Always like to support family run businesses.

Ordered takeout from here recently and PHO-M-G, is this place outdated or what?! Neon lights on the wall, assorted metal chairs, picnic covers on the tables… and there wasn’t a soul inside. I was hoping that appearances were going to be deceiving and our takeout would be decent, but nope. My boy ordered egg drop soup, some fried seafood side, and an entrée of spicy noodles(spicy level ‘7’). The service was great while we waited(we were brought water without even asking for it), but the food did not deliver once we got home and opened it up. The soup was good, but I think it’s pretty hard to mess up egg drop soup. The seafood side was a big fried mess that I didn’t even touch. And the spicy noodles were completely bland as far as flavor, and insanely spicy to cover up the lack of complexity. We were warned about level 7, so at least that was expected! Needless to say, I will stay far away from this place from here on out: P They don’t do Thai or Chinese food any justice, IMO!

Writing this review while I sit here, finished with my dinner, waiting for the other people in my party to even get their food. It seems there’s only one cook and they’re cooking each order one at a time. We’ve been here for over an hour, there’s no one else in the restaurant, and only 8 out of 11 people have gotten their food Aside from the slow service, the food is NOT good. The yellow curry dinner special was ok but the pad Thai was not pad Thai, the banh mi was meh, and the waiter never even brought out the Thai tea I ordered. It normally wouldn’t matter to me, but since I’m having such an unpleasant experience, ill also add on that the décor is whack. Never again

My boy saw the PHO sign in the window and insisted on coming over. So we Wok Into this place. ha ha not sure what to expect. the décor is a hodge podge of items, and the same goes for the Menu. The Menu is all over the place, Chinese food and Vietnamese food what the… I started this review in 2010 wow, just finishing it up now, I remember I got the pad-see-ewe and it wasn’t bad, I forgot what my boy ordered? I just remember it wasn’t anything to write home to mom about. not so sure I would come back:(
