After a long day, I didn’t want to cook or go out, but I had a hankering for some Sushi. After some searching, I found that Cheng’s delivers to my area. This was the best decision of my day. I got the 3 roll/Miso Soup combo. Not being a fan of miso, I figured even if I didn’t eat it — the combo was still a spectacular deal. Always willing to try things, I was surprised at the deliciousness of their miso. It was definitely the best I’ve had. The rolls were fresh and delicious. Used to getting half rolls with sushi combos, I was pleasantly surprised to get full-size rolls. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again!

Ordered won ton soup was too salty. then special fried rice and the rice was hard they use green peas and carrots(the fronzen ones) no bean sprouts Here … The chicken lo mein sauce tasted too too sweet, the beef with broccoli was very good and tender … the waitresess was fine and attentive …

As far as local Chinese houses are concerned, this is one I definitely keep in the back of my pocket. It offers a wider selection of food compared to other local Asian dining restaurants surrounding it, including some sushi, Japanese and Thai dishes. In a pinch, I’ve been known to pick up their Pad Thai and it’s pretty enjoyable. All in all ingredients and food wise, it’s very similar to neighboring Chinese houses, just in a slightly wider variety. Overall the orders are made fairly quickly and so far I’ve had no issues with the food, it really just comes down to a matter of what type of Asian cuisine you’re seeking out. If you’re looking for a new spot to try for pick up or delivery, it’s definitely worth a thought. If you’re looking for more of a «dining» experience for like a date night, try PF Changs or something similar in nature.

Best Chinese take-out in the Winter Garden Ocoee area by far… consistently good on a wide variety of items, boneless ribs are excellent.

We just had dinner here and it was terrific. We are new in the area and we are from Brooklyn NY where we are used to great Chinese food. We have tried a few places here locally and have been disappointed. Well Chengs does not disappoint… we started with sushi which was very good, onto the BBQ ribs which were meaty and very flavorful, the hot and sour soup was nice and spicy, the dumpling wrappers were nice and thin, the orange beef and lomein were also very nice. We will be back

Fantastic bang for your buck. 50 bucks gets you way to much food. My fortune cookie predicted the second coming of Jesus, 4 stars.

Good food great lunch menu that offers the normal stuff. Not your regular take out place as they do offer quality food in a nice setting. I would say 3.5 stars easily but not exactly 4.

I have had a craving for some good Chinese food for a while, but have had trouble finding it especially since moving to the Orlando area. I haven’t found any I really loved since living in a different city back in 2012! Gotten plenty of recommendations and always seem to come up disappointed. I’m pretty picky and consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to Asian Food, I have frequently visited overseas often and grew up in Atlanta where it is in abundance as well. I’ve had my fair share of Asian food, and had a really hard time finding god Chinese in particular. I visited Cheng’s on a recent recommendation from a salon where they all raved about it. So I finally decided to give it a try. First, I looked them up online and found out you can easily order off of their menu and customize it and add notes which made it incredibly convenient– first thing in their favor. Takes a lot of the issue out with calling in and them not understanding your order or getting it wrong. Still, I’ll admit I didn’t really have that high of expectations. I arrived to pick up my order which was ready when I arrived(pretty prompt since I live less than 10 minutes away), the staff was very friendly and everything seemed to be right with my order. I ordered something simple, a lunch portion of cashew chicken which came with pork fried rice, egg drop soup and an egg roll for an incredibly reasonable price. The portion was quite large, I tend to eat a good bit and I couldn’t finish all of it. And lo and behold, I loved it! From start to finish every bit of it was excellent! Best I’ve ever had? No, but this is definitely the best I’ve had since moving to FL and in years. I didn’t have to add any soy sauce or other sauces, it was delicious just the way it was. I can’t speak for the Thai and the Sushi, but after this experience I can’t wait to go back and try that now!

They have excellent sushi for the area. Prices are good too. They make some mistakes here and there but they always correct it and make up for it tenfold(seriously, we’ve walked out with extra entrees that they brought out with the check over something as simple as the wrong soup given at the beginning of the meal). The favors are never bland and the portions will leave you happily full.

Ok, I’m going in at 3 stars, I’ll explain why. We ordered for pick up, my in-laws were treating, they went over the basics that they get, asked if we wanted anything, we requested Broccoli Beef and fried rice in addition to their staples of sweet and sour chicken, low mein, egg rolls, and General Tso’s Chicken. First things first, they completely forgot the Broccoli Beef(waaa!!) but we were charged for it. My in-laws called and got the charges reversed, but still… I wanted Broccoli Beef. I’m a sad panda. Moving along… The egg rolls and the low mein were good. I actually really liked the egg roll and I find I’ve gotten quite picky about those over the years, so for me to like it says a lot. The sweet and sour chicken came separate… sauce in one container, chicken in the other. I’m not the biggest fan of it being served that way(I like some fusion happening), it was fine overall. The rice was bland(although the steamed rice that also came with the meal was good). I’m not a big fan of General Tso’s chicken, and their version didn’t do anything to change my mind on that stance. The bag also included duck sauce, a mustard sauce and fortune cookies. I found the duck sauce to be bland, the mustard to be disgusting, and the cookies tasted like the ones at Panda Express that I didn’t care for. I know, I know, I’m a big snob… I will say that having been to the places in SF where they make the fortune cookies has made me a fortune cookie snob and I do apologize for that. The food was ok, they were willing to fix the Broccoli Beef mistake, so that was good. Overall, it was middle of the road, not bad. but not exceptional. It is what it is. Doable.

The shrimp tempura was great, the spring role is OK, the miso soup was delicious. 15 $ plus tip for that. Great price for the amount of food.

Sushi is very good and fresh. Staff is nice and the place is very clean. The food is good, but not as good as the sushi. Pepper steak was excellent and plenty flavorful. The sesame chicken was just ok. Overall nice place, good food and very reasonably priced.

We had 4 sushi rolls between two of us, but they were just ok. The sushi relied heavily on mayonnaise, on the roll for one and two with it heavily in the krab salad. I feel like mayonnaise is something Asian people do to try to appeal to white customers, like the white sauce at hibachi places. The fourth roll, the sweet potato one, was good though.

I love the hospitality!!! I always get the sushi but my boyfriend orders all the typical Asian menu items and we have no complaints! The food is always so fresh and tasty! And you can’t go wrong when you’re getting 15% off the bill if you dine in Sunday through Thursday!!! Two thumbs up! I can’t wait to come back for happy hour!

Beef on a stick– Dang good, hot, very tender and seasoned nice. Orange Beef– Perfection again, maybe better than last time– mo’ crunchier. The four broccoli stalks sitting purdy on the plate with orange beef = stone cold, pure decoration on the plate. Funny– no orange rind or semblance there of found on dish either. Not even as a garnish. Orange mess up broccoli plate«Chi» maybe? Typical Oriental style gummy-azz rice — not a jasmine or nut rice = meh… The fried thingies you can dip into the oriental jam-type stuff– were really crunchy and good tonight. Usually these are not worth the effort = imo. Loo review-hey! FO’ STAR ! You can tell this place has PRIDE. Very clean, though wouldn’t YOU agree the vibe would resonate better if the«Employees Must Wash Hands» signage was scripted in chinese characters? Lost a star with the paper towel dispenser was empty– Going back– you should go too.

5 stars for a Chinese Place?! Brooke, you must be joking! Well concerned fellow Unilocaler, I am not. I went to Cheng’s Asian Bistro last night for the first time after years of passing it by on my way to Twistee Treat and now I regret it. Want to know why? Well let me tell you a tale, a tale of a place that started at about 10pm last night… My boyfriend and I walked up to the storefront deciding we should have dinner before dessert. Naturally on our way over I pull up my Unilocal App on my phone to see the rating… 0 stars! And not because it’s awful but because they don’t have a single review. On the front door we see a sign for all you can eat sushi for 19.99 and they are having a roll special, 2 rolls for 7.99 or 3 rolls for 11.99. That’s great no matter where you go. So we go in and everything seems fine when we realize that we are the only people in here, besides the random employees sitting at tables here and there. We are greeted and seated. They have several booths and tables as well as seats at the sushi bar. We sit at a booth and in front of us is a large flat-screen TV, and another over the bar. Everything is very clean and shiny, almost like it’s never been used. The color scheme is red and black. They have nice lighting too, maybe just a few cool pieces of art on the left side wall to give it that final touch. I see no reason why this place shouldn’t have at least a few more patrons in it. I know it’s late but I get a feeling that it’s this empty the majority of the time. It makes me sad to think about it. Anywho, on a lighter note. Our server asks us what we would like to drink and then when she comes back with our water she also brings us a bellowing basket of those wonton chips with some sweet and sour sauce on the side. I rather eat those that regular chips any day. She tells us about the sushi specials and points out a few of her favorites on the menu then asks us if we would like to order. I’m not super hungry so I get the Salmon Don and AJ get’s the Unagi(Eel) Don. She takes our menus and we continue to munch on the chips. She soon brings us our Miso Soup that comes with our meals and is kind enough to warn us that it’s very hot. I stir it around and see the good amount of seaweed, tofu and green onions in my bowl, something I feel most places skimp you on. It was very good. Then comes our Dons. Mine is like a piece of art and AJ’s looks just as pretty. Inside of a very modern china bowl is a mound of sushi rice which you can barely see because it is covered with a blanket of raw salmon and a pillow of seaweed salad in the center, all sprinkled with sesame seeds and masago eggs. AJ’s is similar but with grilled Eel on top instead, I almost wanted to eat his too. I dive chopsticks first into my Salmon Don and it is delicious. The seaweed salad is great and the salmon is so fresh is practically melted in my mouth. And the sushi rice below is just as good, nice and sweet. I also tried some Eel and it was served warm and soft with a touch of sweetness. I have when places over cook the eel and its hard to swallow. We finish our meals with great big sighs of pleasure. Our server brings us our bill and thanks us for coming, we thanked them for being here. I told her that I live near by and she told us about the weekly specials they have and invited us to come back soon. I know we will because everything about that place was lovely. The service, the ambiance, the price, and most importantly, the food. I can’t wait to go back, and I encourage you all to go as well because this is honestly one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve been too that wasn’t «fine dining» but had the same product without the huge price tag. I hope someone from Cheng’s is reading this because you deserve to know how great you really are. I hope that business picks up soon. With love in my heart and food in my belly, Brooke W.
