We have been multiple times since our original visit and it’s still the best place in Ocoee to eat PERIOD! Anytime we meet our friends now it’s here. Anytime anyone asks where is a good place to eat it’s here! My co-workers have been as well as neighbors. This place is a must place to be! In fact I was just looking at the times because we are going again tonight :)

Fantastic! We chose a new place to eat tonight and ended up here. Off the beaten path but worth every turn. Everything is fresh! Customer service was too notch. Husband had a quesadilla doradas-which was with mashed potato! I had the chicken quesadilla. Guacamole and chips was as good as Yaya’s! Cilantro was perfectly placed on everything we ate. 4 salsas at the table for all to try. It’s a must! A new favorite for sure.

Are you kidding? I mean really? Been living in Orlando since 2000 and hit every known Mexican establishment and Mexican food truck. Never understood why the food trucks tasted better, but doubted their sanitary situation. Well, let me tell you folks I know Mexican as a Mexican myself and this place kicks fucking ass! Best hot sauce EVER! Try the Gordits and you’ll become an instant believer. Oh, they also own their own truck, duh.

Absolutely best Mexican food around! This is authentic restaurant! We came here from a friends recommendation and were pleasantly surprised:) Will come back as fast as possible! We had chicken tacos. Small, so get three! Excellent! Try their Horchata. Milk-rice drink!

First of all, the servers were sweet and attentive. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately taken care of. It’s a small restaurant. There’s very little seating inside and there’s a few outside seating. It’s a casual ambiance. The décor is colorful and simple. I ordered the chicken burrito. It was massive. It was full of juicy meat and delicious rice, thus, making it a very filling meal. All items are reasonably priced. I love Mexican food and this place does not disappoint.

Tucked away from the crowds in the town of Ocoee is the Ocoee Taco Company, but this place is not quiet, it has a constant and regular stream of patrons. Off hour during lunch on a weekend was very successful. We happily found a seat. They only have a small inside dining area to choose from(about 5 tables) but plenty of outside seating(hope there’s good weather!) When you enter you order at the counter and then have a seat at the table of your choice and then your food is brought out to you. My choice was the steak burrita which is like cross between a burrito and a quesadilla(or even like a Mexican Philly cheese steak.) I love that the steak was not over powering. The seasoning was just right and not too salty because the cheesy goodness is what made this brought this burrita to its perfection. The boyfriend had the tamales and tacos which he said were delicious and all for a very reasonable price. Not to mention that everyone here is incredibly nice. If I’m ever in the area I’ll be sure to return again.

In mid 2015, The Taco Company food truck opened a permanent location on Taylor Street in Ocoee. Where is Taylor Street? Exactly. It’s not in a very populated area of Ocoee, not near other major shops or restaurants, and if you blink you may pass right by it. Nestled in a very industrial area surrounded by railroad tracks, the Ocoee Taco Company is housed in a modest red brick building with no neon signs and no flashy fanfare. Walking in we were immediately greeted by Miss Julia– one of the owners of both the restaurant and the taco truck. We explained that it was our first visit and also that we did not meat, she explained which of the items would be delicious with only veggies. Avocado can be substituted for meat in just about anything except for a few items like the Flautas. So we took her advice and ordered a smörgåsbord of veggie entrees. We started with the Chips and Salsa. Tomatoes, onions, cilantro and avocado chunks served with a basket of chips. Hard to tell if the chips were homemade or not as they were not warm but they were good. We were also shown the four bottles of sauce at every table, from the super spicy(the pink stuff) to the more mild(the brown stuff). I personally loved the brown sauce, slightly salty, slightly spicy and slightly sweet. The first thing Miss Julia had suggested on the menu was their signature QuesaTacos — a cross between a quesadilla and a taco, a recipe handed down from Mexico by Miss Julia’s own Mother. The basic veggie are a mix of shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro and cheese. Ordering anything veggie style will gain you avocado slices. The QuesaTaco was good– and my mistake as I expecting queso, as in cheese sauce, but indeed it was shredded cheese. Again, my fault, as nowhere was it implied that I was getting cheese sauce, but boy that would have been yummy. The Tostada was similar to the QuesaTaco except it was served on a hard shell instead of a flat soft shell. Same toppings. Same concept. Next up was probably our favorite item– the Burrita. Basically a grilled rolled quesadilla stuffed with the veggie mix– lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cheese. The burrita was the only item that could pass for a full entrée as it was quite large and served with an avocado salad. The burrita was also the most delicious of everything. Crisp and light but filling. Last up was the Gordita, it kind of reminded me of a Sloppy Joe. The gordita bun was made fresh to order and was thick in comparison to a traditional tortilla. That same veggie mix, avocado and cheese made up the center of the«sandwich». Mr. Beet really loved it. As we sat enjoying our meal, we watched the place fill up with hungry patrons both eating in and taking food to go. I can tell this is a pretty popular spot, even if it is out of the way for most people. But it is hard to beat inexpensive and tasty Mexican food. My only wish is that beans and rice were offered as a meat alternative but in the defense of the restaurant, we did not ask for it. Next time.

Food is fresh and looks great but the seasonings are so subtle it left us both«wanting». IMO they really need to shake them season shakers a little longer and harder. I could not tell a difference between the grilled steak and the seasoned beef sopes. Great to eat to tame the bear mind you, just not memorable. Not looking for heat, just spiced up. The Tamales looked awesome and again were okay in mastication. The masa flavor I so covet from this entrée was subtle and the beef filling same as the sopes; just too soft a voice to be heard. We really enjoyed the chips and guacamole. The chips are a unique corn mix and crunchy and we loved their recipe for guacamole. No wine or beer and no unsweetened tea offered, so assumed not available. Only sugary pops and water. The outside table wobbled horribly and the chairs are well over due for the free«Palm Casual PVC» foam seat replacements.(hint!-hint!) Sorry for us both for the«ok» rating.

Authentic food, terrific owners make for a great spot to stop for lunch. Very tiny location, so don’t be surprised if you have to wait for a table, or you can grab one outside. Amazing guacamole, tacos, flautas. We’ve not had anything that wasn’t yummy. They have a variety of meats to choose from for your selections. Little out of the way spot to check out anytime you’re in the area.

This is a neat restaurant. It is a pretty small location — only five tables inside and some outside seating. We found this place on Unilocal. FOOD(4⁄5): Everything was made fresh to order, and it was affordable. We ordered some chips & salsa, as well as chips & guacamole. Their salsa had avocados in it. I don’t think the guacamole is anything special. My husband ordered the sopa and a fried quesadilla. I had the green enchiladas. The food was pretty good overall. I thought everything has a ton of cheese. My enchiladas had so much cheese and not a lot of chicken. I peeled the cheese off the enchiladas toward the end. The rice and beans were pretty good. They have four different types of salsa on the tables. SERVICE(5⁄5): Service was great. The guy who took our order was really nice and explained the menu for us first timers. You order first and then pay at the end after you’ve eaten. ATMOSPHERE(3⁄5): The inside is very small and crammed. We had four people, and my chair kept getting bumped by people walking by. I’m not sure if it’s just inconsiderate diners or because the space is truly small.(Remember, there’s only five tables inside.) I took off because the floor space under the window to the kitchen had a lot of crumbs and dirt that I could see. If it’s in view of customers, it should be clean. Well, I’d go back, and I’d ask for less cheese. Thanks for a good meal. Please print out some menus. The lady in front of us asked for a menu. It’d be nice to have to have a menu(or website) we could check out if we’re hankering for some authentic Mexican food.

All I have to say is the Steak Burrita literally changed my life. Now I am suffering with Post Traumatic Food Syndrome. The memories of the deliciousness of this place is seriously haunting me. I wake up thinking about it… I have dreams about it. This particular menu item is consisted with meat made with the perfect combination of cheese. I had a fresh side of guacamole with my meal as well. My daughter ordered the steak tacos, her tacos were literally gone in a matter of minutes. Here is the kicker the prices are extremely reasonable. The place in the inside is small and very cozy. So I would definitely recommend going early, or even calling in an order ahead of time so one can avoid the lunch crowd traffic. I did happen to go early on a Sunday and I was able to experience friendly and speedy service. By the way for those of you who are aware of the traditional Mexican drink called the Horchata, which essentially is a rice water drink, they offer this specialty item on their menu. Overall, this gem of a place has my heart beating in Little Mexico! Gracias !!!

We have been here several times in the last couple of months for both eating in and picking up because of how delicious their food is. Their salsa is my absolute favorite right now. It is a chunky, but not thick, type of salsa. Complete with avocados! We are also big fans of their tacos, tostadas, and quesadillas doradas. For meat, their al pastor is yummy. Be sure to also try all four of their salsas to see which one you like best — two are spicy, and two are mild. This place is a great option for Mexican food in the West Orange area, and those who live in the area should at least give them a try.

Fantastic Unilocal find! This is exactly the kind of business Unilocal is made for! We were looking for a quick lunch and *almost* went to Tijuana Flats but instead decided to venture off the beaten path and explore a mom and pop place with great Unilocal reviews. What happened next was some of the best, most authentic and fresh Mexican we’ve had! Service was fantastic too. We got to the restaurant, which was small and unassuming. It looked like a house turned restaurant and was packed inside for a Sunday. Even though it was hot we had to sit outside because we had our dog with us. I grabbed a menu from a friendly server. The menu is very simple and I don’t think you could go wrong no matter what you choose. The server promptly came out and brought us ice water and a bowl of water for our dog. The large group inside cleared out and service, even though the place was crowded, was very quick. The salsa was fabulous. It was watery but with an excellent flavor and chunks of avocado. We asked if they sold it to go but it is made fresh so the only way to get it is to dine there. It really feels like a family affair and we were greeted by not only the server but food runner, busser and who I would assume to be the manager/owner. My ONLY complaint would be the small dining room with attached kitchen was very warm and the little restroom was warmer still. Fans both inside AND outside might help. They were playing this somewhat obnoxious music outside too loudly. But overall it was a great experience that we are sure to repeat.

This family run place can get quite busy, but they are always friendly and helpful, and glad you are there. They offer their version of most authentic Mexican dishes, along with a few inventions of their own. The quesotaco is a grilled tortilla with cheese melted on it, then filled with your choice of meat. There is also a version of a burrito that is enroll to being a quesadilla. The torta is a huge sandwich, enough lunch all by itself. Meat choices include several different preparations of pork, chicken and beef. The pastor is usually my favorite, but I didn’t find it as rich and tasty here as some places. There are mild and hot versions of both green and red sauces, which are all tasty. Pricing is very reasonable. But the best reason to come is the sincere thank you you’ll receive form the owner.

I’ve been hearing some buzz about the Ocoee Taco Company for weeks now. I had attempted to grab dinner there unknowingly during their brief hiatus. They’ve since reopened to hungry locals of Ocoee and I arrived during the lunch rush and it appeared I was not the only one that was interested in checking out the buzz. This a small intimate space for dining, probably not much larger than the food truck they use to occupy, so I was met with crowded locals waiting in line. There were only 5 tables in the restaurant, so if you don’t grab a spot quick, you will be baking in the hot Florida sun on the patio, or taking your food to go. It’s clear this is a true mom and pop operation and while there seemed to be a skeleton crew to handle the lunch rush, they were so sweet, hospitable and attentive. I ordered a carne asada tortas and three carnitas tacos. We shared chips, salsa, guacamole and I grabbed a horchata as my beverage. The salsa was a nice mixture of cilantro, onions, tomatoes and chunks of avocado. I personally am a fan of chunkier, less watery salsa but I forgave the consistency for the mere presence of avocado in the mix. The guacamole tasted good and had fresh chunks of onion and cilantro mixed in, but I would have loved to taste a hint of black pepper and ground cumin. My tacos and tortadas were good, but here is my disclaimer when eating any type of ethnic food. I expect flavor. I need it and I want it. Both dishes were fresh, there is no doubt about that, but the meat had no piquancy. When I come across this problem, especially at restaurants with Spanish cuisine, it’s hard to tell if the issue comes from a trepidation from the kitchen, that they might be afraid of rocking people’s palettes that can’t handle it, or they just don’t have the time to marinate or season meat. Either way, it’s really hard to rave about any meal that leaves my stomach full but my taste buds feeling like they were left out of the whole meal. There were quite a few sauces on the table lending themselves to a range of mild and tongue tingling hot as my brother-in-law experienced, so you can certainly add some flavor to any dish with those. My horchata was a tasty and refreshing alternative to soda. I would really love to see the Ocoee Taco Company take a step back from the rush I’m sure they have felt from moving from food truck to brick and mortar and find their happy medium of serving guests and meeting demand, while being a bit more organized in the front of house and really focusing on bringing flavor to the back of the house. I’m always an advocate of local businesses, especially when they are run by such sweet and hospitable people, so I will be back to check on things in a few months. Until then check them out for yourself and see if your taste buds do a happy dance.
