Adam’s Garage Doors

Adam and his worker Jay were both very professional. I signed up for an Angie’s list deal after my opener broke. He came out the next day and scheduled the fix for the Monday after the Friday that he came out. Jay did the job and I could tell he had a lot of experience and had a good attitude. He went out of his way to add a support piece that I didn’t have on my smaller door. I will also need a new door in the near future and I’ll be calling them back.

Adam came out to fix our door after a DIY attempt to replace the springs ourselves. He fixed the issue in less than half an hour. He is very knowledgeable about his craft and is honest in his business practices. We appreciate the fact that he never tried to upsell other products or services. We highly recommend him!

The actual project went well. I have no complaints with respect to the performance and quality of the workmanship. My problem lies in the acquisition of a receipt for payment. The work was performed at a rental property that I own and manage. Circumstances mandated that the job be requested and directed by phone. Upon completion of the job Adam’s Garage Door insisted on immediate payment by credit card. I requested that an invoice/​receipt be mailed to me. This is a business expense that requires proof of payment in order to deduct the expense from taxes, this is the important point. I was told that this would be no problem. After about a week no receipt was received, I called to inquire about the status of the receipt. Adam assured me that it would be sent that day. Long story short, I contacted, requested, and even pleaded with Adam to simply send a receipt. The fact that no receipt was sent by Adam’s Garage Doors is not really the issue. The lack of business acumen and lack of response to my request and the amount of needless time and attention that I had to spend to this petty matter is aggravating to say the least. This is why I’m writing a failing rating for this vendor.

Adam has made 2 visits to my house. The first time, a fast and inexpensive fix and the second time he aligned the sensors and got the door working properly for no charge. i seriously appreciate high quality service and the peace of mind that he is not trying to upcharge or inflate service fees at all. He provided expert knowledge and immediate attention. I highly recommend this guy!

Great customer service, prices, work, response time, and overall experience with Adam. He is definitely on my list of vendors I will continue to do business with along with recommending him to everyone I know that needs garage door service.
