Feng’s KItchen

I have lived in the Oconomowoc area for 12 years; Feng’s by far has the best Chinese food. We order take out probably about twice a month. Its a family run place with the owners, grandma and kids often present. They are friendly and you can see right into the clean kitchen. The food is fresh and always consistent. For as long as they are in Oconomowoc I will only get Chinese from them.

Feng’s is one of your cookie cutter strip mall USA Chinese restaurants. Clean and new inside. Food is great and the service is fast! I’ll go back there if in the area.

Feng’s Kitchen is great! The food always tastes fresh and well seasoned. Most recently, we came here as a party of 15 and they were incredibly accommodating as we spread out all over the restaurant.
The family that runs Feng’s couldn’t be sweeter. Try them out for consistent food at fair prices.

Stopped in on my way to Madison from the Milwaukee airport. From the outside I thought it might be a fast-​food, low quality place. However, there was a lot of foot traffic in and out as folks picked up take out. Thinking that was a good sign, I parked and went in. The six or so tables inside were empty except for a pile of fresh snap peas on one – another good sign: fresh vegetables. I ordered the cashew chicken, it came quickly, not more than 30 seconds from wok to my table, and it was delicious. In watching the staff I am convinced that they must be the owners. They gave great customer service and seemed to care about attention to details keeping the place clean and in good order. All in all, a great experience. If I lived in the area I’d come back.

This review is not food related. I ate there during a week long business trip and paid using my Corporate Diners card (as well as others). Months later we found fraudulent charges on our cards. We traced our activity back and Feng’s Kitchen was the only place other than the hotel we used our credit cards. Am I accusing them. No. Am I suspicious… yes.
In closing… food is fine, pay cash.

Traveled out here for work, this has to be the worst food I’ve ever had… Totally disgusting. Stay away from this shit hole!

The food is OK at Feng’s Kitchen; it is standard Americanized Chinese take out fair. Sometimes this type of greasy noodle or fried rice is just what you crave and Feng’s is passable for that. However I would not recommend it otherwise. The staff is hard to communicate with and they seem to mess up orders a lot. I ordered carry out which was supposed to take 15 minutes, arrived at the restaurant at the 20 minute mark and ended up waiting until the 35 minute mark. Throughout the whole time the staff is calling people about orders that were incorrect, not picked up and/​or cancelled. I wish there were better take out options because this one is hard to recommend.

I have had a lot of chinese from many different places. Every item I got from Feng’s was the best I have ever had! I never thought chinese could get any better… then I went to Fengs. Delicious!!!

Food had been very good. This is a small dine-​in place, probably do more on their carry out.
Food has always been very good. Service is also excellent. Have done carry out now about 5 times and eat in 2 x. Have not been disappointed yet. If you are looking for ethnic atmosphere-​this isn’t the place. If you are looking for good chinese food to take out or a quick bite, stop and sample.

Visited on Unilocal’s recommendation. Took out of town visitors and my family (party of 9) and was most pleasantly surprised.
Staff politely moved tables together to accomodate our large party. Had the Phoenix Chicken/​Shrimp, Noodles, Gen Tsao’s chicken based on other recommendations.
Service was lightning fast. Great when you have hungry kids!
Staff went out of their way to get to know their customers. Chatted with us and was genuinely interested in how we enjoyed the visit.
A definite repeat customer.

Friendly staff, very reasonable price. It was ok food, I had the dragon and Phoenix per another review. The vegetables were 50% onions and not like the other pics people had put up. Still, I can say I have had far worse chinese food than this place.

Our family visits this restaurant very often. The food always comes out fresh from the kitchen very hot, which tells us that they prepare their food with high heat-​important for Chinese cooking. We really like that vegetables are cooked nicely with crunchy textures still left. On top of that, the owners are extremely nice and pleasant every time we come in. We will definitely keep coming to this restaurant.

I’ve been here twice now while in town on business, and I have found that the food is fresh, hot, expertly prepared, and a great value. The dragon and Phoenix is one of the best I’ve had.
This may look like a typical strip mall Chinese joint, but it is a hidden jewel in the rough.

You know it’s good when you go in to order something and they are also serving take-​out orders non-​stop at the same time.
My Dad and I were in town for training and my Dad who’s picky on Chinese food liked the food a lot.
The owner and service people are super friendly and give an awesome attention. Not the typical chinese restaurant. This is clean and good restaurant.

The food is fresh and the shrimp is nice and plump. The veggies were delicious. Service is fast and friendly. Way better than many other take out joints we have eaten at. Would recommend and would definitely eat here again!

I’ve ordered take out here and have eaten in a few times each. The food has always been really good. The vegetables are fresh and the meat is good. The people working there are very friendly and attentive. My son thought that the sauce in his Szechuan chicken was really too thick, but otherwise good. I love the Singapore chow mei fun!

About average Chinese food. Service is fast though. Would be a go-​to for us if they would deliver!

Wow. We went in here with low expectations, thinking it would be greasy strip mall food. I had the bean curd dish and it was stellar. Fresh crisp veggies, chewy golden tofu that isn’t a bunch of precut triangles. Stands up to any restaurant in a larger city.

Not bad, not bad at all! Their pork egg foo young is pretty darn decent — I’m not overly crazy about their gravy, it could definitely use a bit more oyster sauce, which I was able to do at home. It’s good enough though, good egg foo young seems to be hard to come by in this lovely state. Their egg rolls are typical average good and my husband’s shrimp lo mein was pretty good. I didn’t love their wonton soup at all — their dumplings are entirely too thick and the broth leaves a lot to be desired.
All in all, I’m excited to try more from Feng’s Kitchen!
