Vino Etcetera

Outstanding place of business. In all honestly — a majority of all the wine bars I’ve ever been too Vino Etcetera tops them all. My first impression was «alright, just another wine bar», but fortunately I was mistaken.
It’s quite spacious with an upstairs and downstairs area that includes a couple rooms, all to which carry different furniture styles for anyone who enjoys sipping their fine wine in a particular fashion.
Normally, I’d say «woah, diva status», but not for this place. For those of you who have been reading my reviews — you’ll see that I am a stickler for lighting and ambience, let me say, this wine bar, stretches far beyond my imagination haha.
Oh I couldn’t possibly forget these important subjects: music, the staff and of course, the wine.
So, this place always has such beautiful talent soothing the souls who stop in. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Lastly, all the styles of wine they provide has proved to be magnificent.
As a musician, I too, would like to eventually contribute to the soothing process :)

This place was everything you want out of a wine bar. Intimate setting, live music (on Friday & Saturday nights), great wines, craft beers, & spirits, and outstanding service. Annie was our server and she was absolutely fantastic!!! She walked us through the menu, made suggestions, and brought us tasters. By the end of the night, I purchased a bottle of the wine I had been drinking, the One Hope Cabernet Sauvignon. Annie was so personable and I can’t wait to go back just to see her again and order my new favorite cab!

Loved my experience there… between the friendly service, the great atmosphere and reasonable prices… I will be back!!! So relaxing and fun for my friend and I to meet and catch up.

Stopped in last evening and was pleasantly surprised. We love Oconomowoc’s other bars (a genuine WI experience) but this place is different in a good way. Classy, low-​key, great service and cool space. It was a chilly night so we sweatered up and walked over here after unpacking the car for the first of many summer weekends on Lake Oconomowoc. For sure we’ll be back!

What a find! A cool vintage building, comfy lounge seating and a great bar, amazing wine selection, live music and a generous owner who’s more than happy to pour generous tastes while talking the wine talk that we oenophiles love to hear! Sometimes I think hearing the wine described is as pleasurable as actually drinking it! If we lived anywhere in the area, we’d be hosting a party here. But we don’t, so –not sure when but, we’ll be back.

This place is fun! Sit back, listen to music and drink. It can be very intimate or great for a bunch of women to sit around and gossip. When we are in the area we will def be back!

Wonderful atmosphere! Great wine selection, super friendly staff, and decent pricing. What more could you want from a wine bar? I love this place! Whether you have a large party to entertain or need a small quiet corner for a meeting, Vino Etcetera has the perfect space and ambiance for all of it!

Strolled in before moonlit movies and met linda one of the owners. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend it! Great to support a downtown business!

Beautiful place. Great location downtown Oconomowoc. Unfortunately, one of the owners who served us, was far from being any kind of wine aficionado, and the wine selection here is sub-​par. We were also a bit insulted at immediately being told «if» we wanted to sit outside at their tables we’d have to use a plastic cup. Not because there is a city ordinance, but because there have been ‘too many accidents’. I sympathize, however, I’m not going to spend $ 12+ dollars for a plastic cup of wine.
If you truly have an appreciation for wine — head down the road to Wine Maniacs. But if you don’t mind paying $ 12+ a glass for sub-​par wine then this place is for you.

I went her for a bridal shower and I was glad to find this place. The accommodations were excellent. I was very happy with the relaxed feel of the place. You can comfortably sit back and enjoy a bottle of wine. This is the only wine shop I have been to that offers a cozy environment.
The owner had a wine trivia game for the bridal shower to play and it was awesome, not only did we sample a variety of wine but we learned an array of knowledge too.
Overall this is a great place for a first date, night out with your spouse, friends and also to host parties.
Side note: if you are not into wine they also serve other liquor upstairs at the bar area.

This used to be a gift shop at street level while the basement was the wine area. Now the previous owners daughter has converted the upstairs into a modern clean dining and drinking area and retained the lower level as it was. I loved it before but now it’s even better. What I like most is the wine cave feel of basement. It’s beautifully decorated with a number of unique private sitting rooms. A great place to buy a bottle of wine and sit and talk with friends. They even allow you to bring in food from other nearby restaurants if you don’t find what you want on their menu. A cozier more comfortable spot cannot be found in this area. The owner and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine selection will appeal to any taste or pocketbook. Believe me, it’s a real find.

We loved this wine bar, gift shop, art gallery combo. We were there a couple of months ago. My husband had a great time testing wine while I shopped. They were so nice and the atmosphere was so easy going that I didn’t even mind sitting with my husband while he bought a couple of glasses of wine. We even went back the following day to get a couple more items. Loved it!

I’m so glad we came across their little sign out front and stopped in here. My mom worked in this building decades ago when it was a clothing store, so it was just fun to go back in!
Anyway, enough nostalgia… on to the venue! They’ve got a huge selection of wine, and lots of comfortable, private seating. If you’re looking for a place to bring a date that isn’t the typical Oconomowoc bar, I highly encourage you to give Vino Etcetera a try. And, stay calm — if you’re not much for wine, they’ve got plenty of beer to serve up, too.
I really can’t say enough good things about this place. Prices were good, service was incredibly friendly, and the store is great! Stop by!

A great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine in an intimate but casual setting. The experience reminds me of a large wine cellar with cozy rooms adjacent to it so that small groups can sit together and converse. There is an outdoor area for when the weather is warm, and while there is not a food menu, one can buy a cheese plate for about $ 9.00. And ofcourse, an abundance of bottles of wines to purchase.
