a few years ago i had the pleasure of working at the lunchbox and i assure everyone that our sandwiches are fresh made and stocked daily and they are also only $ 6 not ten. i know this due to the fact i personally stocked them. and if i didn’t a very close friend who also operated the lunchbox did. had anyone had an issue all they had to do was alert me and i would have replaced or refunded your order out of my own pocket. don’t let two negative Nancy reviews dissuade you from coming on down for some of the best sandwiches you’ll ever eat! there is also a charming lunch area to eat and enjoy ocracokes beautiful atmosphere. we also cater to large orders if you call ahead and are a family friendly establishment including your four legged friends!

Yuck. Got box lunches. Took them too the beach and opened them, only to find that they had been sitting in the LunchBox for too long. Most of the food was spoiled. It’s unfortunate because this serves a need in Ocracoke but it really should be avoided.

No. I love Back Porch, and this place just gives it a bad name. It’s overpriced and just not that exciting. I am all for a grab n’ go type of place, but I can make better sandwiches. It’s like the restaurant said «here’s all the extra crap we have laying around, go sell it in a shack for $ 10.» Even the smoothies weren’t really worth the price.
has a 10% coupon good until ¹¹⁄₁₀. Maybe this will help swallow the cost.
