First time using the mobile ordering app. Genius! Too bad there wasn’t a line and I would’ve gotten my coffee anyway in the same amount of time. What’s the point of mobile ordering if you can’t walk to the front of the line and skip everybody else? After all, I just want to see other people waiting. #EliteStatusFail

This place… I can’t even take it sometimes. Let me start off in saying, I lived in Washington State for years, the people know their coffee. Starbucks originated from there and you could always count on service– quick service at that. I say this because my review may seem rude and ugly but it’s the truth, so… You can count of the staff to act as if you are an annoyance almost every single time. The lady over the intercom box sounds so joyful and preppy, you get to the window and she’s replaced with a complete — of a person. Where does she go? Why can’t the nice person be the one to Service customers. Here’s a tip: hire people who enjoy public service or who enjoy other people. When you go in, it’s apparent it hasn’t been cleaned since the place opened. Coffee is hit or miss. I can’t count on it to taste like what I ordered. Sure, this place is very busy, it’s the only coffee house in town besides Cpl Rays and, well, that’s another story for another day. Oh and best of all is the 30 – 60 minute wait on a latte. CORPORATE: WHATISTHISLOCATIONDOING?! Get someone in to train these people!

Construction-wise, this is a decently sized Starbucks and a considerable outdoor seating area. They also have two bathrooms. I found it strange that there is no milk bar — first Starbucks where I encountered this. If you want creamer or milk, you have to go and ask someone at the bar. I also don’t like how they auto-sweeten my drinks. I ordered an iced brewed tea and there was sugar in it. Maybe because Southerners like sweet tea? For me, it was an unpleasant surprise. I wish they asked me before adding sugar. I was also struck by how dirty the interior was. There was a lot of trash and dirty tables. I had to wipe down my table myself. They don’t seem understaffed by any means, there were several people behind the counter, and it wasn’t particularly busy, but service was quite slow. Good thing I was just hanging out and didn’t have to leave immediately.

My husband and I went there for coffee last night. The place was filthy inside and out! The cream bar was filthy, full of trash and coffee spills. Outside looked likw it had not been cleaned foe months. Will not be going back!

The new manager knows all… including how to charge .60 for any amount of coconut milk. My preference is to avoid enduring the endless line, the empty coffee bar and the surly counter staff at this location. There is the Starbucks at MCH and thankfully several in Midland that don’t charge for a coconut milk substitution, don’t require you to come inside for refills and have a full or otherwise pleasant demeanor when asked for a replacement of the empty ½ and ½. On a positive note, the bathroom is always clean but the inside experience tarnishes the taste. Drive through line usually wraps around the building but it is a better alternative to the arrogant and condescending mouthpiece at the counter.

Texas loves a free market, but business owners in Odessa don’t know how to take advantage of it. The owner of this Starbucks would make more money opening up a second store in the same parking lot — or better yet, across the street. It’s drive through is super long(I’m not sure why people here don’t ever get out of their cars), which makes the inside service long too, even though there’s usually plenty of seats. Pros: It’s Starbucks, so you know the quality and menu Cons: They ran out of drip coffee one day. I’m not sure how they managed that, especially when they still had pour over coffee and espresso. Every Starbucks I’ve ever gone to doesn’t know how make a tea latte, unless it’s a Chai from a mix. They always leave the teabag in the cup. The teabag is supposed to be removed before the milk is added, otherwise the tea doesn’t brew correctly, and the drink becomes bitter. This store is no exception there.

After reading the many reviews I finally decided to stop by. It was noon and although there were only 3 cars in the drive thru I opted to go inside to order. They were adequately staffed although two seemed to completing inventory for the day. The 2 – 3 baristas preparing drinks did a fantastic job and as I waited the cars in the drive thru were served quickly. All together I’d say this location is good. As with any Starbucks they can get backed up if they are short handed or if one person orders 3 – 5 drinks. Side note: for any espresso/americano lovers try a ‘doppio con panna’ with extra whip. It’s a double shot of espresso served in a short cup and when you mix the whipped cream together it is delicious. Don’t forget the wood stir sticks and extra whip!(They should fill it to the lid)

Unfortunately, like every other time I go to this Starbucks they loose the label to one of our drinks so I takes about 45 min to get our drink. It is over crowded and the dirty atmosphere doesn’t make up for the bad and disorganized service.

Drive thru was insanity, walked in everything was a mess. Went straight to counter but was the last one to get my coffee waited 15mins.

Never surprises me at my local Starbucks. There is always a line due to the high demand of Starbucks in this town and needless to say it took them about 20 minutes to fix up my Chestnut Praline Latte. The baristas were great and the beverage was good by Starbucks standards, what I’d expect from them anyway. Long story short… there needs to be another location… this 42nd and Grandview location is always busy! In other cities around the country there are Starbucks at every corner however in this city in Texas, that is not the case unfortunately. 2 stars for slow service and prioritizing the drive thru otherwise great coffee.

Worst Starbucks ever! I have traveled around the US and by far this is the worst. Simply not organized and dysfunctional. I had to wait 30 mins for my drinks. They had my drinks all out of order. I got one drink then the person behind me got theirs, then two people later I get my second drink and so on. Get it together! It shouldn’t be that hard. Learn to also keep items in stock! You should just close down. Yup!

I would’ve rated this Starbucks 4 stars. You will come to learn why I did not. The facility is never perfectly clean. Sometimes there’s a bit of trash on the condiment counter. The bathrooms have always been spotless. The front patio could use some love Id give it a 3.5 on cleanliness. They’ve only screwed up my order once. Ive been through the drive thru 20+ times and in the store about 10 times. There is an older gentleman who works there and he’s a sweetheart and for the most part the staff is quite pleasant. However, they have a barista who works there and she is downright rude everytime I go through or come in. Rarely smiles. Always seems to be on shark week. Generally sighing and frowning and throwing unnecessary attitude about. Im not sure what her problem is, but I know that it shouldn’t be rubbing off on her customers. Today I went through the drive thru and she told me told me to put out my cigarette. Ive never been asked that before in my life. Had she not been so rude every time ive been to the store, I would’ve been more inclined to acquiesce. Aside from a few negative experiences with the one barista and a bit of rubbish in front the staff is impeccable and always smiling. Very friendly and competent.

30 minutes to make a coffee? Employees just slowly meandering around the filthy coffee desk and chatting with each other, but would not make eye contact with the roomful of frustrated customers. Finally one kid came out of the back and was really hustling — turns out he was just making himself a smoothie. He left. This location is an absolute joke, as the community has eagerly pointed out.

It took longer to get my coffee than it did to drive from Abilene to Sweetwater. Nonetheless, I was glad to have it and it tasted like it does at every other Starbucks. So, in the end, I was pleased.

If I could give this place a 0, I would. They have no clue to what their doing in there and it takes over 30 min if you go inside to order a coffee. I’m from the west coast and I love my Starbucks, but don’t even waste your time in here. Every time I come to this location it’s never a quick stop. Go to cowgirls coffee right up the road and I guarantee you won’t wait more than 5 minutes.

All I can say is there are 21 people here, 6 have been served, 2 haven’t been waited on, the rest of us are waiting. One more thing… there are 8 staff behind the counter. Coming from Seattle I can say the I’ve seen 4 staff keep up better than this. I’m not dying the staff is bad, just not properly managed or trained. ETA: 25 minutes for a latte

I was it town fir work and needed a place to grab a coffee and catch up on some work. I’m not kidding that only the drive through was open at 1:30PM. There was a note that stated they are having staffing challenges and the café was closed. That left a filthy patio area to sit, but no coffee unless I wanted to get in my car and wait in the 9 car line in the drive through. Extremely dissapointed that this is considered a Starbucks.

If I could rate this place with 0 stars I would. I was in odessa for the week and every day took 30 – 40 minutes to get my coffee. They were consistently out of SUGAR(c’mon sugar?!) and vanilla. The workers here are unfocused and seemingly untrained. I kept thinking maybe they would get it together when I kept going back, but that did not happen. And from looking at other reviews it looks like it’s been a mess for awhile. This morning the line was 90% blocked by heaps of boxes and they were still telling people they were out of things. Open a box maybe? WORSTSTARBUCKSEVER.
