This place is ok. Sushi is good. Had better had worse. Waiters and waitresses lack social skills. Once you’re done eating they feel like they are rushing you out. It overpriced for what you get. Go only because I haven’t found another place yet to get my sushi fix.

We have been going here since they opened about two years ago. They have amazing service and even better food. Can’t say enough. Thank you for everything.

Every time I have been to this place, they NEVER disappoint. I’m originally from Hawaii, so I know what good sushi is. they honestly have the best fresh sushi selection in all of west texas, have an awesome cold sake assortment to choose from, and the service is always on point. I’ve never left this place feeling unsatisfied. It’s pretty much the

Fantastic roll was good! Presentation of the sushi roll was very pretty. I also ordered the shrimp udon since there was a good review on Unilocal but it did not live up to its name. Not as much flavors as I am use to but definitely will be coming back to try other rolls next time I am in town.

Best sushi in Odessa by far. Sashimi is always fresh and tasty. Decently priced considering…

FYI I did not get kitchen items except for Miso Soup. The miso soup was not the best I have ever had. It was pretty watered down. I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe. Their fish was fresh, but Osakas is better. I don’t know. there was just something off about it. Yes it will be a little more expensive at Osakas, but it is way worth it over Wokcano. Then I had the Rainbow Roll. There was something missing with this… 1st the roll was not tight and was falling apart. The crab chunk was HUGE and I do not like that. The fish is so bland that the avocado overpowered it. I had heard such good things about this place so I was super excited to try it. Oh well. The people working there were VERY nice though. :D

The waitress that served us was a bit rude. While talking to her and giving her my order, she just walked away in the middle and talked to another waitress and giggled. I felt like she had an attitude with me and was discriminated because I am also Asian. She never refilled our drinks or asked. The food was okay. I’ve tasted better but given this is Odessa, I guess it’s better than other places. Minus two starts for poor service and 3 stars for taste and presentation of food.

So we’ve been here numerous times. When we moved here, this place was excellent. Each and every visit was great. Tonight, the sashimi tasted like it had been frozen, the sushi was wrapped with very small pieces of rice affecting the rice and fish ratio. The wokcano quality wasn’t there tonight.

Reviewing for Sushi/Sashimi only. Of course Midessa cannot have a good sushi/sashimi place. The fish was not at all sushi quality. This was exaggerated by the fact that they cut the fish very thick. Allowing the dry/freezer burned parts of the fish to grind on your tongue instead of melt in your mouth as it should. The caviar had a bizarre crunch instead of a burst as it should. When I ordered sushi the thick cuts of fish would not stay paired with the tiny ball of rice that accompanied it. Wasabi was not real(ground from Wasabi root), just horseradish wasabi paste. The caviar and salmon row was daftly wrapped in seaweed around rice and also was falling apart. True sushi lovers won’t get their fix here. But if you are the type that likes your fish disguised wrapped up with other items and colorful sauces, maybe you won’t notice. If you are a classical purist you will not be happy.

Chicken(fried) lettuce wraps, Gyoza, and green bean fries are good. Pineapple fried rice was disappointingly salty but the presentation was cool. I’m gonna stick with the sushi.

I have yet to have an experience that was even close to sub-par here. Every time: great ambience, the servers always take great care of us, the sushi chefs always take great care in preparing our sushi to where it comes out looking spectacular and tasting even better. Definitely the best sushi restaurant in midland and Odessa. BYFAR. Thanks to the owners and all of the employees that go to great lengths in order to deliver such a great product and service.

This is our go to spot whenever we think of date night. We go so often that we consider the staff our friends! Whenever we walk in, we are greeted by Wendy, and she already has our drinks and appetizers ready for us. The best sushi out here in West, TX. The atmosphere is also unlike other restaurants here. This is truly an asian fusion chain, they offer sushi, hibachi, udon, ramen, and other signature asian hot dishes, all of which are great! In terms of food, delish. Speaking with staff you can tell they take pride in the quality of their ingredients. Fish is fresh, and Sushi Chef’s are flexible to make rolls that are not always on the menu for us. Presentation is always fun and absolutely beautiful. Our favorite rolls are the Red Dragon and Texas Roll. Their hot dishes are also very good. We like to get the Walnut Shrimp, it is a nice lighter take with excellent flavor. We haven’t had one thing that we didn’t like.

Clean and nice ambience. Service was adequate and food was very good. I had the seaweed salad, surprise roll and Angel roll. Presentation was very nice for these rolls. Overall recommended. It was a nice way to end my trip.

The restaurant is really nice, the service is good, and my plate of shrimp noodles was great. The sushi wasn’t impressive, the rolls tasted okay, but the portions were pretty small. To the people that are saying this place has the best sushi they’ve ever had, I feel sorry for you, because this is definitely not even on my top 10. That being said, I might go back on a different day to give it another chance.

1st time here and this place is great! Will be returning soon! The place is simple from the outside but beautiful in the inside. The presentation of the plates is true work of art. The staff has an obvious passion for what they do and it shows beautifully in their food. I don’t do this very often, but i give my Golden Thumb of Approval

I have enjoyed sushi in lots of places in the US and this is the best other than a place in Sacramento that was very expensive. The Sushi Masters create incredible plates off at that are delicious. If you like sushi, this is the place to be. Come try! We had a tuna roll, Volcano roll and the Dancing roll. I recommend all three!

This place is by far the best restaurant in Odessa. My opinion. This place is clean and the waitresses were beautiful, friendly and fast. Food was awesome. Teriyaki salmon with steamed rice was delicious. Only thing I didn’t like about the food was the salmon was served on a bed of onions. Just me being picky but it didn’t take away from the taste. Also the teriyaki sauce is by far the best tasting one I ever had. I had a roll with lobster and crab. Don’t remember the name but fantastic. My dad got the generals chicken and he was speechless because that’s his favorite and hadn’t found nothing like that until now. Plus he raved about the egg drop soup. It’s a Japanese restaurant but they make the Chinese food better. I didn’t take any pictures because I was to busy stuffing my face.

Definitely! Some fresh sushi in town! I’ve moved to Midland 7 months ago from Seattle, and I’ve been dying for some good sushi. We made reservation for a party for 12, the wait was about 20 minutes which wasn’t bad at all. The restaurant was crowded and a little crammed, but it’s a cute little spot. Greeted by a friendly waiter and our waitress was attentive, but seemed stressed out. We ordered the wings and lettuce wrap to start off with, and the wings were way to saucy with a strong vinegar taste. Lettuce wrap were good, but a very small serving. We ordered two Sushi and sashimi love boat($ 47 each) it’s worth it if you like sashimi, comes with a good amount and served on a wooden boat! We ordered a few specialty rolls: Godzilla roll was one of the best. I can’t remember the others. We also ordered Phad Thai and udon soup, but we weren’t too crazy about it. I would def stick with just sushi next time! Hands down the best sushi in town!
