We decided to visit Blue Lemon on a Saturday afternoon. I’m glad we did because I’m sure we will be back. So here’s the deal. You walk up to the counter, place your order, take your number and find a place to sit and wait. This being the case I felt like this restaurant would be more like a Zuppa’s. Good sandwiches and soups, but nothing absolutely great. I was surprised to find out your entrees are much more than soup and sandwiches. We ordered the artichoke spinach appetizer first. It came with sliced tomato, cucumber, carrots, celery and pita bread. It was really good! Except, for a full order, it really needed more dip! We were left with a lot of unused veggies and pita bread. Also, Blue Lemon… please bring out plates with the appetizers. It’s weird picking up pita bread, slathering it with dip, taking a bite and then having no where to place the rest. Next came our side dishes… Swiss Chard and quinoa salad. No complaints. It was lovely. I ordered the seared tuna and hubbs the mango shrimp tacos. Absolutely no complaints! Both were delicious and fresh! O.k. one tiny complaint… I wish each dish had a little bit more food. The seared tuna consisted of only five small slices of tuna with rice. And three tacos would have justified the price over two tacos. All in all, the food was really good and I’m excited to go back and try some different things. Especially the salads. I walked by many patrons who were happily munching on giant, beautiful salads and found myself a little envious.

My friend and I wanted something fresh and healthy and this was a great choice. The inside feels fresh and clean like spring!

This place never disappoints. I have been to two places: Downtown Ogden and Salt Lake/City Creek Mall locations, and have found the quality at both places to be the same: fantastic! They serve excellent, more healthy food that is also nicely presented! The restaurants have a clean, bright, modern-looking interior where you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. There are many unique choices on the menu(this is not a plain burger and fries place, so if you are OK to get out of your comfort zone a little, then go for it!). Meal portions are slightly smaller than a typical restaurant(this is not a complaint). These are the portions we SHOULD be served for a more healthful diet. If you go here hungry, you will not leave hungry(and not have to bring any leftovers home). But I digress… At the SLC location, I had the Balsamic Chicken Panini, and it was very delicious… just the right blend of meat, veggies, aioli, cheese, and a very flavorful(but not overpowering) balsamic sauce. The sourdough bread was very tasty and fresh. My companions ordered other items, including the Blue Lemon Steak Griller(looked wonderful) and other sandwiches, Everyone enjoyed their meals and there were no complaints. At the Ogden location, I had the Mango Shrimp Tacos. Wow… very different and delicious. I went out of my comfort zone, and am glad I did. I also really enjoy the fresh and roasted vegetables and side items(sweet potato fries and fingerling potatoes) that come with the entrees. A few tips: The menus are on overhead screens and they rotate through. If you don’t care for that, there are paper menus on the counter that you can browse through. They also have a mobile app that you can use to «tap to pay», and you get rewards points. If you are a downtown worker, this is a great place for lunch, as it does not take long to get your food.

The atmosphere was definitely different than most. It’s not my style. The food was good but the small portions left me wanting more. I had the blue bacon burger that was good. I also ordered the fingerling potatoes as the side. They only gave me about three small potatoes cut in halves. I could have used some kind of sauce to go with everything but did not notice the sauces till we were done. My wife is not a big eater and got a salad and felt the same way. It’s not for us.

Back in town for another visit and we’ve already been to Blue Lemon two more times. Both excellent meals. I had the oriental salad DD had the raspberry chicken salad. Both fresh, full of great flavor, full portions, delicious. Today I had the minty mango chicken salad and DD had shrimp cusabi which was really tasty but a smaller portion. Still love the place, wish that there was one near home, I’d be there weekly. They get the meal right and they smile at the same time, bonus!

I LOVE blue lemon!!! Everything that I have tried on the menu has been amazing! The food always comes out extremely fast, and it is always displayed perfectly. My favorite is the coconut chicken curry.

Delicious food. You order at a counter but the food arrives quickly. The food is fresh, the staff is courteous, and the prices are very reasonable.

The first thing to do is try to find it. You walk around and all the way down the side of the building with the huge Blue Lemon sign on it – you don’t go in the front of the building. I wouldn’t have been able to find it without my guide. The food was good and healthy. The kids meals were particularly nice and they really enjoyed them. The reason I gave it three stars is because it was a bit sterile in there. It feels like a cafeteria. The restaurant area is very large and it was just kind of a sterile restaurant experience. The chicken lettuce wraps were also super-strong and need to be toned down a bit in terms of flavor, maybe by doubling the amount of lettuce. I could almost not finish them, they were so strong, and only came with 3 lettuce leaves. The children were very satisfied with their kids meals, and that is what matters most. :-)

Everything I have eaten here, I’ve loved. I’ve had the Black Bean Ravioli, Shrimp Cusabi Salad, the Black and Blue Burger, and the Grilled Balsamic Chicken Panini. All were so yummy! Love the desserts too!

Nice ambiance, tasteless food. Full hummus plate: sopping wet vegetables, cold hard pita and way to peppery hummus. Lot of food for 6 bucks, but had to gulp it down with water. Balsamic chicken panini: flavorful but disappointed in the bread, just white like wonder. Limp cold sweet potato fries with what tasted like bbq mayo. My husband said it was okay, I didn’t think it was worth the price. Kids spiral Mac and cheese: spiral noodles with what tasted like cheez wiz on top, again sopping wet apples… My daughter who’s loves Mac and cheese was spitting it out. If it would have been good I would have at it since I ordered only the hummus plate. It was inedible. Come on blue lemon… You’ve got everything going for you but your menu. Nice staff, cool scene, lots of locations… The people next to us asked the waitress why it was so slow, she blamed it on it being summer… If your food is good, you will be busy. Period. This isn’t my first time at blue lemon, but it will be my last. From a passionate foodie.

Just tried the Blue Lemon! We had the coconut curry chicken. Wow! It was really awesome and the place has a really comfortable atmosphere. Really great high end quality food at a pretty decent cost. I’ll most definitely be back. Also, try the carrot cake and the chocolate dipped cheesecake. So delicious!

The good: Clean and modern atmosphere and lots of seating. Now let’s describe the order. I ordered a sandwich which ran around $ 9.00, no sides, no drink included. Sounded good when I ordered«grilled balsamic chicken panini». You would assume a nice chicken breast, grilled, on a panini. You would be wrong. Small square white bread cut in half about the size of wonder bread. Chicken sliced like from the Smiths deli not grilled. No panini no grilled chicken. Wife ordered some coconut curry chicken. She liked it and it tasted good. I tasted the chicken breast and found it tasting chalky and processed. I split a flourless chocolate. It had a distinct just frozen freezer burn taste. All in all it would have been just ok at half the price.

It’s ok, nothing to write home about. We have been here a couple of times and I don’t think we will be back. It is over priced for what you get.

I met my wife here for lunch after we saw a write up in the standard examiner. I thought it was their grand opening or something so I was expecting it to be packed. It was not, it seems it has been open for a couple of months now. We ordered our meals at the front as many places are now. I wanted to try the hummus plate so we ordered that. She got the Turkey avocado and I ordered the lemon chicken blt. There is plenty of seating so that was nice and we chose the blue couch which was something new to do. They brought out the hummus plate first and we both loved that. Next time I’ll order the full plate rather than the half plate. The veggies and flatbread were also very good. Definitely try the hummus it had a really good flavor with just enough garlic and is served warm. Our sandwiches arrived and as he presented mine he called it the balsamic chicken. I was confused so I looked at my receipt and sure enough the cashier typed in the wrong chicken sandwich! I was grouchy about it at first but I ended up liking it so not all that bad. I was really looking forward to the lomon chicken though. Maybe next time. My wife’s sandwich was nothing special. My balsamic chicken was good. It had a good flavorful amount of chicken, a few slices of red and green peepers, and the right amount of onions. The sandwich was grilled and was served warm. Total bill was about 23 bucks. 9 each for the sandwiches and 3 for the hummus(nothing else comes with the meals). If you make it a combo and a drink you will pay quite a bit for everything. n Im not a fan of their menu on the tvs. It seems to not display everything available and it scrolls too fast. Seems like a waste of money on their part and more of a distraction than anything. Lyckily they do have paper menus in little stands where the line forms.

Cute restaurant with meh food. Honestly, these restaurants confuse me. You order at a counter and there is an option to tip. What am I tipping? After you order you sit down where you choose and your food is brought to you. Your food is picked up when you are done. They didn’t refill my drinks or bring me a mint a la Chik-fil-a though. So, now I know what I am tipping. I don’t like it. What if the service was really good, or really bad? I want to be able to choose my tip based on my service, not based on service I have yet to receive. What I liked: The restaurant was really cute. It was clean. The staff was very friendly. You get real plates and silverware. It is fancier than fast food but it’s fast food. My friend got the black bean ravioli and really enjoyed her meal. What I didn’t: I and I ordered the coconut chicken curry. It was bland and cold. I ate it but I wouldn’t get it again. As I said earlier, I don’t like to tip prior to service. Overall, I don’t know if I would go back.

Very disappointed with our first visit. We ordered four meals and two were delivered within about 10 or 15 minutes. One of those had to go back because it was wrong. We waited and waited for the other two meals. We finally got someone’s attention only to discover the orders were forgotten. Finally got them after nearly 50 minutes. The server seemed put out and wasn’t very pleasant. She wasn’t rude, maybe more like disinterested. We finally did have a bus boy come and ask if everything was okay. I very much dislike tip jars when one has to order from a counter. I don’t tip at McDonald’s or Starbucks, why should I tip here? The food was okay but it certainly wasn’t anything I will go out of my way for in the future. It’s too bad; my son and his fiancé spoke highly of it. As the saying goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

The first thing you notice is a hip, uptown vibe to the place that isn’t quite expected in Ogden. Great colors, nice décor, a hip, slightly-too-loud radio sound, and a nice layout. There are two distinct experiences here. The ordering is akin to fast food; step to the counter and order off of a screen at the register scan(equipped with the ever so tacky tip jar). Once you get past the fast food feel of ordering, you get a treat. The food is spot on with a mesh of flavor and fresh. The pear and spinach salad was a hit. A great balsamic, fresh grapes, candied walnuts, and some other colorful and flavorful toppings. I also ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich. The ciabiatta was a little dry but the real, carved turkey was a plus. The avocado had a little«kick» to it and was a good enhancement. The pros? Fresh, flavorful food. A dining option added to downtown Ogden. A great lunch spot. A variety on the menu for every diet and palette. The cons? The aforementioned tip jar. Pricing a tad high($ 14 for a sandwich, salad, drink). Condiments hidden by the drink machine instead of on the table(picky, I know.) Blue Lemon is a gem. Well worth your visit and an excellent lunch spot.

Blue Lemon is one place I know I will be safe suggesting as a dining destination, because it’s got something for everyone; be it my vegetarian, gluten-free, or on-a-diet friends. Make no mistake, even though it’s healthy food it tastes nothing like cardboard. The veggies that come with every dish are perfectly cooked, and the sauces that accompany each entrée do a lot to enhance them. Plus, they have a glass case full of tasty desserts, if you want to end your meal on a sweet note. It’s not an über-fancy place: you stand in line & place your order at a register before you find yourself a place to sit. But it’s also a few steps up from fast-food dining: the interior is modern, your food is brought to your table, and they have bus-boys to clear your meal when you’re done. They also always have water flavored with fresh lemons, or cucumbers. Every time I have visited the restaurant has been spotlessly clean, and my food makes it to my table in record time! My husband always orders the fish tacos & a side of sweet potato fries. Inevitably, I steal some of his fries, they; and the peanut dipping sauce that comes with them, are so yummy! My favorite dishes are the: pear & Spinach salad, salmon BLT, slow braised short ribs(it’s like tender pot roast), and the artichoke & tomato chicken. This location of Blue Lemon is a bit hard to find. But it’s worth looking for. I’d wager that it’s one of the most tasty places to eat in Ogden.

The food was pretty good and healthy, but pricey. Since I had never been to the blue lemon in slc, I wanted to try everything on their menu. I had the fish tacos(amazing!), butternut squash soup(freakin’ amazinger!), and coconut-lemon cake(ok not really something to write home about but not bad either). My total came out to a little over 20 $, which is quite a bit for what the meal was. I would highly recommend the fish tacos, and the butternut squash soup, if the prices weren’t so high I would go there all the time but it’s worth it since the food is so clean.

First day open and I didn’t even know! The seating area is beautiful and has a lot of room if you have a bigger party! Easy to order and everything is a really good price, so healthy and can’t forget tasty. I got the raspberry chicken salad and it was amazing. My son who is a picky eater got the curly MacNcheese and he loved it, even the toffee dip that came with the apples. Definitely will be here a lot!
