Cliff House Resort & Spa

We came to Ogunquit to get married. At last minute, the staff was able to offer us a magnificent oceanfront room for 2 nights. Unparalleled views. Spectacular! The entire staff couldn’t have been more delightful. Those at the hotel desk really went the extra mile for us and we will always be grateful for their efforts which contributed to a fabulous wedding day with million dollar views. heard the hotel will be renovating which can only make fabulous that much more so! Outdoor pool and hot tub… just gorgeous! Can’t wait to reserve for next year!

I’ve always heard wonderful things about the Cliff House and was so excited to come here for the weekend.
So, I gave it 2 stars for one reason only: the ocean views.
The room in the Cliff Top building was horrendous. There is no elevator, the rooms are in dire need of updating, the bathroom was not only small, but old with rust stains on the floor under the sink. There wasn’t a refrigerator in the room. Fortunately it was cold enough this weekend to keep our drinks and snacks out on the balcony!
I could go on and on but the bottom line is that I was extremely disappointed with this «resort».
If I wanted to stay in a motel I could’ve stayed «up the road a piece» for $ 59/​night. I’ll bet they had a fridge!

We can here for Sunday brunch. We decided to explore outside of Ogunquit to try something different. Upon arriving the waiting time was about 20 minutes. Hard to explain since we were able to see multiple tables available. Once we were seated it took 5 minutes for someone to approach is with drinks. We both decided on the buffet. The selection was below average. Nothing special. There was a poor selection when we went up. The most of the items were almost gone. We decided to instead to do the omelette section and those were yummy. The waffles were also being made next to the omelettes and nothing special. The French toast and waffles were dry. Our waitress did explain that they were pretty busy and we only saw her twice. Once for drinks and for the check.
A huge plus side for this restaurant is the view to the ocean. If you are planning of having brunch here I recommend going somewhere else.
