Nice little library however it is the loudest library I have ever encountered… there is no semblance of anyone whispering ever… conversations are at normal level, cell phones permitted, one person was even running calls looking for a job using regular indoor voice… for hours.

My wife and I are public librarians so we are descriminating when it comes to customer service in public libraries. the Ojai library was great in this regard. It was our first trip to the city and the librarian was so helpful. She spent a considerable amount of time assisting us in our search our destinations. She knew the town and told us how to get around. We appreciated her courtesy and knowledge.

The Ojai library is understandably small and limited since the town is small, but it has a fair collection of books and great resources for children with programs like homework table and children’s story time. When I was in high school, they were also very helpful with my research projects and spent many ours with me looking through the Ojai Newspapers from the 30s on microfilm. I love the library. It’s cozy and does a lot with small resources.
