Forgot my boyfriends ID and debit card. Went there the next morning and the owner was 2 hours late in opening the video store and he was extremely rude. I am all for helping out the small business owner but not this buisness

horrible. awful customer service. when i told the guy we were from out of town, he said «do you want to open an account?» inferring that it was not necessary to rent. when i said we were leaving the next day he gave me the nastiest look and said «that is not optional» oooo my blood was boiling. if i actually lived in ojai i would ensure that no one i know ever visited this place. my boyfriend never really cares too much about service and he walked out and said «no wonder video stores are out of business if they are all a******* like that»

With this place being the only video rental in Ojai you would think they could do better! While it is only 2.50 to rent a movie, that movie is only for 1 day, unless you get two movies, and then it’s only for 2 days. Then they charge you the same price for a late fee!
The movies aren’t arranged in any logical sense and movies that are years old are still only available for 1 day rental.
The customer service is horrible and they really don’t care!
After being charged more for late fee’s than any sane person would pay, I will never go there again. I am writing to the Ojai Valley News and BIG Thumbs Down to this business owner.
Just because you are the only video store in town, does not give you the right to take advantage of your customers.

Customer Service was Horrible — I rented a video from them about 10 years ago and when I was half way through the video it started having problems and I wasn’t able to finish the movie. When I returned the movie the next day they wouldn’t refund my money or exchange the movie. I asked to talk to the owner but he wasn’t available. I left a message and didn’t hear back from him, after a week I called and he said he wouldn’t do anything for me. I never returned and never will, I’ll drive to Ventura for a movie before going there (it’s the only movie rental store in Ojai).

This video store is dirty, smells really bad, and videos are in a hodgepodge. Because of the smell, we didn’t stay long enough to figure out if there was a method to the madness.
