It’s decent. The staff was super friendly, which was great. The lamb in my kabob combo was really juicy and enjoyable. The lentil soup is great with a bit of lemon added. But overall the meal was too much on the greasy side to get a higher review, the hummus was pretty bland, and the pitas were just limp and boring. The quality is fine for Mt Pleasant but I’d expect better for Lansing.

I’ve been here several times and the food has always been fresh and full of flavor. I especially enjoy their chicken shawarma and lentil soup. The staff at this location is especially friendly and I’ve always received good service. Definitely will return!

Seriously one of my favorite places in town! Food and service are great. My personal favorite is the kafta combo. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

I was curious about this little restaurant tucked away next to a great jewelry store from the day it opened… There was no fanfare about the opening and it seems it doesn’t need any; every time I go, the parking lot is full and understandably so! Everyone tells me «don’t tell people about this place so it stays a nice secret.» Too late! Fantastic soup and I’ll let you explore on your own from there. Love this place!

The staff here is wonderful and helpful. Although I’ve definitely had better Middle Eastern food. I got the chicken shawarma pita and it was good, nothing to write home about. The chicken was very bland compared to other middle eastern places I’ve eaten at and the garlic sauce was very weak in terms of it being called«garlic» sauce. The falafel was very good though, you could taste that it was fresh and well seasoned. I think this place would be much better with a better garlic sauce and more seasoning on the chicken.

I never thought I would like Middle Eastern food so much until I started coming here after work(just down the street;)) and now, I can’t stop going! Seriously, I think about it every day almost and wish I had the money to eat there every day bc it’s THAT good! I have yet to try everything bc I love that damn chicken schwarma like I love my own children. I’ve never left there with a single bit of food on my plate:) Also, the people working there are friendly and polite. I like that they talk to me bc I’m a big talker and usually go alone! Haha. My all time favorite place to eat :)

The food was fresh, hot and wonderful. We had the chicken schwarma combo and the lamb kebab combo. The meat in both was crispy yet tender inside, and both had wonderful flavor.

The best middle eastern food in okemos. Actually, me and my family say Sultans okemos is the best middle eastern food anywhere. Great service and kind staff. The food is always on point. Never disappointed. The only con i have is that its closed on sundays.

Chicken shawarma was moist and flavorful. Had a good vegetable soup: carrots, onion, zucchini, and celery. Lentil soup was thick and a bit salty but good. Fresh squeezed fruit juices were very refreshing. Sweet honey and nutty Baklava pastries to finish it off ! Also, the silverware absolutely glimmered ! Not a spot on them ! Word of caution, the yummy garlic sauce sticks with you(bad breath).

Oooh the best and yummiest middle eastern food I have had outside of the Middle East and the Detroit area! Super professional friendly accommodating staff, flexible and aware of dietary needs or restrictions. Killer soft kind of sweet pillowy bread served with(dinner) meals in addition to the normal staple but delicious pita bread. Hummus is perfect. I come across in middle eastern markets and restaurants hummus which is some kind of undefined sludge with no taste or its a garlic bomb with an off putting almost burned quality. I have found this distasteful hummus to be the normal fare, almost everywhere. Sultans have a delicious hummus which is slightly lemony and nicely balanced. They serve it up with drizzle of a clean tasting oil olive and pine nuts for a welcomed extra crunch in this otherwise very texturally uninteresting dip. Killer-DID I SAY KILLER-Persian pickles(picked turnips). So delicious when added into their sandwiches for a bright acid pop with crunch or served along side any of their«appetizer» dips, or roasted meats. Prices are a little higher which I think might deter many from enjoying this restaurant in this working recession slammed town. I justify the slightly(and it really is only slightly) higher prices when I consider the excellent attentive service and the use of high quality extremely fresh ingredients. The reason their food tastes profoundly better than any other middle eastern restaurant around is not only in the preparation of their food, but by using the freshest and highest quality of ingredients. Fresh and high quality is never cheap. For a few pennies more I will take delicious, flavorful, and fresh over wilted lettuce and squishy flavorless tomatoes which might be cheaper on the menu but worse than mediocre in taste and quality. Excellent restaurant. If you are cautious about trying a new cuisine or a cuisine that you are not that familiar with try them at lunch time where you can get a nice taste of what they offer in smaller portions and lunch priced specials. Check them out, they will not disappoint!!!
