This has been my go-to nail salon the past 4 years, and I always loved it! Unfortunately, I went for a gel manicure just over two weeks ago, and the polish didn’t even last two weeks before it began chipping. After just a week, I noticed it was beginning to peel a little bit. I was extremely disappointed since I had never had this problem before, but I have noticed over time that they seem to always be in a hurry. I’m planning to get a pedicure there this week, but I will be going elsewhere for my gel manicure.

I have been going to Well spa and nails for about 3 years and they do a fantastic job! It is clean and relaxing. They know exactly how I want my nails done so I don’t ever have to worry.

Absolutely horrible. I came for a walk in and asked if they would have time to take off my acrylic nails and get a gel manicure. The lady took me to a booth and left my fingers sitting in strong acetone for over 15 minutes. Meanwhile she was giving another customer a pedicure so I assuming she forgot about me. The skin on my figures is destroyed and peeling off 2 weeks later as the salon strength acetone is very damaging to skin. She then proceeded to try and remove the acrylic’s with another fake nail from her drawer. I do not believe this is the correct process and am still unsure how this would remove my nails. When the nails would not budge, she wrapped my fingers in acetone and foil as a second attempt to remove the nails. Meanwhile, she went back to helping other customers. Sometime later another man came over and motioned to move to another booth so he could help me. As he took the foil over, he said the woman had done it the lazy way. He was finally able to use the buffer and proper tools to remove my acrylics about an hour later. Although the man ended up doing a very nice job on my nails, I spent upwards of two hours in this salon. Furthermore, I left with my skin destroyed and was ignored as a customer during much of my time there. This is why I will not return here and would not recommend it.

This is my go to nail salon because it’s close to home. The the service is good; reasonable prices, and quick mani/pedi’s. I am not overly impressed with the massage or callus remover. I guess I was spoiled in CA. It’s so competitive that the massages were always top notch and they did a special callus remover that left my feet feeling so soft. I really really miss that about my LA nail spas. I haven’t found anything in Lansing that even comes close…

Decent price. Nice massage chairs. Below average massage. The real problems may be specific to the technician. She was sloppy in every aspect. When buffing callouses, she slipped up to my ankle and scraped it. When trimming my cuticles, she made me bleed. I’m having to wear a bandaid for cushioning which kind of covers the paint job. But with how sloppy it is, it might be helping. It’s all over my cuticles. On a regular manicure(not shellac) the paraffin dip is included.

This is now the only place I’ll go in the Lansing area to have my nails done. I used to go to Creative Nail Spa since it’s way closer to my house but their service is pretty horrible and their nail dryers are a joke. I was forever smearing my polish. Anyway, I decided to try Well Spa and I have had really good experiences. The two males are the best, in my opinion. They don’t rush through manicures/pedicures and don’t rudely push your limbs to and fro like at Creative. The pedicures are great. They include a sugar scrub and lower leg massage. The paraffin hand dip was free with the manicure which is a nice bonus. Plus, it’s so cheap, it’s insane. For a regular manicure and pedicure, it’s $ 33. I think their nail color selection is pretty extensive as well. Plus their dryers are actual salon grade equipment and your nails dry super fast.

I called back and explained that my manicure(that was supposed to last ~14 days) had been peeling and bubbling, and they told me that I could go back and have it removed and redone for free. Once I showed up, a woman who clearly knew what she was doing removed the garbage manicure and proceeded to give me a rapid redo that looked about one million times better. (Also, as a note, they give discounts if you pay in cash.)

This place is a clean, nice little nail salon. the chairs and equipment are new and definitely offer an added benefit. The service felt rushed although there was no line, but that was the main negative I saw. Other than that — it fit the bill for what I needed during a quick weekend visit for a wedding.

I was told to try out Well Spa & Nails by a friend, but I left feeling somewhat disappointed. Although the pedicure was nice(great massage chairs!), the paraffin wax was included with the manicure(one of my favorite parts!), and I enjoyed the visit I had with my friends while I was there, I wouldn’t go back. The service was less than extraordinary. Color selection was small compared to most nail places. My nail technician actually ripped a piece of my skin off of my pinky during the manicure, which took two weeks to heal.

Great place! very clean and friendly atmosphere. I’ve been coming here for over a year and have had great service everytime. They tend to get busy during peak hours so I would recommend calling and making an appointment, you still may have to wait a little bit but it’s well worth the wait. The pedicures are wonderful! it’s not quick«in & out» as some other places and my favorite part is when the put the hot towels on your calfs… lovely! They also offer you water or pop while your getting beautified. The prices are competitive with the area and if you are a student you get a student rate.
