I enjoy stopping in here. It not fancy, but well taken care of and the food is beyond simple. I seem to always gravitate toward the lamb dishes and the Moroccan Tea. The Travis says greasy and plentiful. They are always improving on the inside. Today for the first time I see that have placed some nice booths along the wall, so now I see it can accommodate more people.

We’ve ordered from Argana, several times and it’s not great. The food is marginal, delivery is very slow and our orders always have an issue. Longest delivery time? Two hours. After calling at 90 minutes; no apology, or acknowledgment was given, just simply«It’s on the way.». It was cold and 10:30 before our order arrived. I always ask for gyros with the traditional flat bread and extra sauce. I have consistently gotten baguettes(?) and no extra sauce. Pretty much any appetizer is straight from a can. Desert? It’s a slice of cake from Walmart. The staff isn’t unfriendly, but simply void of any customer service, as well as personality. Just drive to a better gyro spot. It’s worth not wasting time and money because you’re lazy. Seriously.

I ordered delivery and had the chicken gyro and fries with some cheesecake. Everything was delicious and warm, the fries however had a different taste but were ok. Would recommend, very nice people.

The Morrocan food here suffers a bit as they try to make things more to «American» tastes. But show me a foreign food option where that hasn’t happened. The pizza, meanwhile, is pretty decent. Compared to J.J.‘s Pizza Stop in Norman, I give it(just for the pizza) a solid two and a half stars. And I give J.J. A four, so that’s not bad.

The best gyro I’ve had in OKC! I had the mint tea and it is one you shouldn’t skip. It was delicious! The atmosphere is quiet and the staff is friendly. Take an adventure and check out this little spot. You won’t be disappointed!

My girlfriend and I went here to catch up for dinner, and had a good experience. It is a very casual spot, and we thought the food was great. I had the lentils and the hummus, she had the duck if I remember correctly. The service was so friendly, it seemed like a husband and wife owner who both were so hospitable. I did remove a star for my delivery experience, which was a few weeks later. I was so excited to see that Argana delivers and you can order food through the Unilocal/Eat24 phone app. It was so easy, I was super excited. However, 10 – 15 minutes later, I got a notification from the Eat24 team(which is awesome, btw) that Argana doesn’t have enough drivers and they won’t be delivering my food. Total let down. I was stuck in the house with my sick toddler and didn’t have the availability to pick-up. I will try the delivery again, and I am hoping they come through next time, because it was so convenient to order online, and I would love some Argana at my door. No complaints on the food, look forward to eating there again!

I’ve always loved this place until tonight. I was told it would take 35 minutes for my Greek salad and gyro to be delivered and after waiting for an hour the driver calls me asking if I had ordered a Greek salad or another salad, after telling him my order he tells me he’s on his way. I live less than ten minutes away and it took him 20 minutes to get to my home. To top it off I found what looks like a white cat hair in my salad. I’ll never eat here again.

I go Argana most Sundays to get a Gyro. The food selection isn’t that great, but the Gyros are terrific. Some of the best. The setting is peaceful and the staff is very friendly. I always get a Gyro meal with fries and a can of coke. It’s great for hangovers and is becoming my comfort food. I’m usually the only person in there when I go since I go right when they open so it’s sort of nice. I get to talk to the staff and relax while I wait for my order. I highly recommend.

I love that they deliver and it only took 35 min for 4 meals that came with the tea. granted they forgot my tea. so I thought until 5 min later the guy(who was extremely nice) brought it and an extra. the lamb tanjine and salmon sandwich were delicious. Everything is reasonably priced as well. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and so glad it didn’t dissapoint. Now I just need to go inside because it looks really neat when I drive by.

I went there for the tea, but was horrifically disappointed. The staff was very nice however the food selections were small and several menu items were unavailable. When we received our meals the food was overcooked and unappetizing. Also, going to the bathroom was quite an adventure, the light switch was outside of the bathroom and down the hall. While looking for it my glimpse into the kitchen had me wondering what health inspector rating was. I really wished I hadn’t eaten anything from that food prep area. I won’t be returning.

When I first walked into the resraurant, I immediately noticed how filthy it was. The carpets desperately need to be replaced. I went to the front counter to ask to see the menu and I was greeted by a friendly woman who looked like a drug addict. She led us to our table and left to get tea. In the meantime, my husband grabbed a booster seat for our 12 month old son. Six wet wipes and 10 minutes later, I had the chair clean enough for my son to sit in. I was starting to wonder about the condition of their kitchen. I was becoming worried we would get sick from eating their food. I was about to leave at that point, but I decided to stick it out. I put my son in the chair only to realize that the seat buckle was broken and I would be using my arm as a belt for the entire meal. That was all I could handle. I left without even trying the food.

I love Moroccan food, but sadly, the food wasn’t that good. The staff was really nice, but the lentils were too salty to eat. I’m not sure why so much of the food I’ve had on OKC has been saltalicious, but I may have to get my blood pressure checked before I leave. I had the lamb shank with onions and raisins, basmati rice, and lentils.

Haven’t had much experience with Moroccan food in OKC, but this place was a fantastic spot to dive right in. Had no clue what to start with, so I went with the Monday special — which turned out to be Lamb Targine(sp?). It was a hunk of the juiciest meat I’ve ever had, tender right off the bone, with a greasy soup/sauce that had been stewed with plums. And what’s this? No silverware, but a basket of bread and my bare hands that I ripped apart and devoured my meal with. It’s an extremely relaxed atmosphere, with even couches and low tables to recline at. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is my new best friend!!! Their pizzas are my favorite and very addictive! I’m also obsessed with chicken tangine now. The people who own/work here are so sweet as well. They gave me a couple free apples after we talked about Morrocco. I have never dined in here so I can’t speak to that experience but I’ve had take out about five times now. And the price is very good!

I don’t know how I managed to live walking distance from Argana for 6+ months before checking it out. It probably has something to do with it’s very unassuming hole-in-the-wall frontage, but you should never judge a book by its cover, at least in the case of tasty Moroccan food. The restaurant certainly isn’t the fanciest, and if you’re looking for a place with fancy décor, Argana isn’t for you. If you’re looking for authentic food and friendly owners, though, you should check them out. I love that every time my partner and I have gone, they’ve taken our order, but told us just to pay after we’ve eaten and we’re happy. Hot tea comes with your meal, and you can help yourself to as much as you want… take them up on it! Their tea, with just the right amount of mint and sweetness, is one of the best parts of the visit. I’ve gone twice now, and we’ve tried a few different dishes, but the winner so far is the lamb tagine. The dates it’s served with… well, I could eat a whole bowl of those alone. The owners of Argana are very proud of their little café, and it’s always fun to talk to them. I recommend reaching out and being friendly, you could end up having a fun conversation with a group of little old Moroccan men, like we did.

My experience was ok with my first try. The restaurant was dirty and unorganized. There were dirty plates on at least 2 tables and the lady behind the counter seems less caring about those. I can understand the home style feel but it is still a restaurant after all. Parking is very tight at the front but I read that they do have plenty of parking in the back. Why the owners have not kept up with their facebook page is beyond my thinking. There should be, at least, a latest menu along with the prices and possibly pictures to go along. I entered the restaurant and did not find any restaurant style menu. Instead their were old and dirty pictures with corrected prices on the wall behind the counter. Their were old photocopies of the few items that they have on the counter. No idea how this restaurant is running! On the positive side, I found their prices to be decent with the portion you will get. They do have specials available on each day of the week. Big day is Friday when they have famous Morocon Couscous for $ 9.99. I got Morocon Couscous and Kofta sandwich for 5.99(with fries). Morocon Couscous was ok. It comes with vegetable, soup type thing, and nice soft lamb meat right in the middle of the dish. Kofta sandwich is basically a meatball sandwich but it has Olive also which adds a little extra kick. Overall a dirty and unorganized restaurant with ok priced food. I may or may not go again.

I’m a fan of hole in the wall establishments for these reasons 1) Normally family owned 2) It’s always an adventure. For the sake of trying something new, a group of us decided to try Argana. According to Unilocal,it was about to close in 30 – 45 mins. I think to myself… The food quality might not be all that and a bag of chips. Oh well. Oh poop! The man zone and I get lost. We drive through Heritage Hills thinking, «Is this restaurant located at someone’s house?!» Regrouped, meaning reentering the address into a GPS instead of following Unilocal’s mobile map. Enter the establishment– We are provided two different food options– chicken tagine or beef tagine. Our server boasts that the chicken is better. Easy order. Salad was standard, nothing fancy. Everybody’s main course lacked consistency(i.e. One dish had peas while the other had french fries and olives. Some of us received lids on our dish), but they all did smell pretty gosh darn good! I split the chicken tagine and it reminded me of a curry. French bread was provided, which was a great dipping device! The olives gave the curry a more tart flavor. I couldn’t bring myself to eat the dessert(assorted fruits in a juice– refreshing!) because I was so full. They open late! Why? Because of Ramadan. For the month of July, Argana opens till 5am –woohoo!-

I went to Argana Café with a couple of fellow Unilocalers after a night of winding down. When I was told that there was a Moroccan restaraunt on 23rd st my immediate thought was«there is???» as when I first visiting Oklahoma City those were the first initial streets I would visit and I thought I had been down most of the area this place was on. One thing when we arrived that we noticed immediatley was the parking situation, there was not much parking areas on the front of the place, but there was a good amount of parking in the back(very common for that area of town) We were a little confused on whether we ordered at the counter or at the tables which were in a separate room. The place is a bit on the small side of things, with what seems like a almost like a take out area. The place seems like it is a family owned and operated place, almost felt like you were visiting someone’s home as the dining area had a couch and lounge type area, the walls also were covered in rugs and if it wasn’t summer time I would appreciate it’s warmth it provides! One thing we were not prepared for was the selection of food, it is verrrryyy limited, apparently they make certain foods on certain times of the day, we were offered 2 types of plates, 1 was a beef stew type dish and the other was a chicken dish with fries, we were served 1st a salad which to be honest… tasted like most of the ingredients were from a can, but that was no matter to me as I didn’t come to a Morrocan place to eat salad, then came our main dishes and I must saw they were presented very cool in a dish that I assume is native to Morocco, it was made of clay and had a open top i assume for ventilation of the food, seemed it was designed to help keep the food warm. We were then served a desert that was what I can only describe as almost a fruit soup, it was a sweet fruit type broth that came with various fruits that tasted very good. Price for the meal was very cheap on the $ 8 – 10 range. The ambiance was interesting as it seemed like local cab drivers frequent the establishment a good deal. One thing… if you like cous cous you better come on a Friday! From what the owner was telling us it seems they only prepare dinners for cous cous on that day! All in all I liked the food and it seemed very authentic, but the limited times of when they make the food makes it a bit of challenge, you just gotta go in with a different mentality and respect that this is more like eating at a friends home than a corporate food establishment Definently give it a try if you like or want to try Moroccan food!

You definitely don’t come here for the ambiance. The restaurant was pretty small with few tables. There was a small communication error when our group arrived. The waitress told us to order at the counter and when we went up there, the owner(I think) said we could order at our table so we sat back down. We didn’t get menus and was told to choose chicken or beef. I didn’t know what was going on so I chose chicken. Our whole group had absolutely no idea what we were getting. Salads came out first. I didn’t like it. It contained green beans and corn which tasted like they were scooped from a can. The main entrée was the chicken covered in french fries. The chicken was very good. It was perfectly cooked and the meat came off the bones easily. It also had a lot of white meat which is what I prefer. For dessert, we got a bowl of Moroccan juice with fruit pieces in it — tasted great. The thing I noticed about our entrees was that they were very inconsistent. There were 6 people in our group so we had multiple plates of chicken and beef. Some chicken came with fries, some didn’t. Some beef platters had olives, some didn’t…same goes for carrots. It wasn’t a big deal but just something I noticed. The people who worked here were very nice. They even stayed open late for us. Parking wasn’t a problem for us but we came around 9:30pm. I imagine it would be a pain during the day because the restaurant is located at a very busy intersection and they have few spots in the front. They have daily specials and I later found out that the special that day was chicken or beef tagine! I’m still confused as to whether we could’ve ordered something else besides the special since we never got menus. If not, vegetarians would be SOL. My total was less than $ 11 for a three course meal so this is a great place for cheap eats!

I’ve only been once, but I cannot wait to go back. The tea and chicken tajine were delightful and I loved how the atmosphere was laid back and the owner was as friendly as can be.
