Balliets is one of my favorite places to shop in OKC. High end clothing and especially their shoes! Shoes shoes shoes! Jimmy Choo, Miu miu, Aquazzura, prada, Manolo Blahnik! Charlene is who helps me and she is a doll. Knows the products well and very kind to work with.

I arrived at Balliets to do some serious shopping think Pretty Woman and that is how I felt. I cannot imagine why a store that seemed not to be busy and had little inventory could afford to not have amazing customer service. Not one sales person offered to help me. I even went upstairs to the cosmetic department and they were all busy on the telephone not even a glance up to see if they had customers. Save your gas and your time and skip this store. 1. Shop assistant: «Hello, can I help you?» Vivian: «I was in here yesterday, you wouldn’t wait on me.» Shop assistant: «Oh.» Vivian: «You people work on commission, right?» Shop assistant: «Yeah.» Vivian: «Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now.»

Find Betsy in shoes– she’ll be your new besty! Ok. Balliet’s is expensive. But the service and style are unmatched. Full disclosure, when this place was at 50 Penn, I couldn’t get a makeup girl to sell me a $ 300 bottle of perfume if my life depended on it. I was not a fan. But since they’ve moved … and truly since they’ve hired some people who are passionate about fashion … I’m in this joint as much as I can possibly afford it. Special occasion shoes or needing some serious retail therapy — get with Betsy in shoes and she’ll take care of all your needs on the ground floor. I also love that this department store is flip-flopped from every other shop in this aspect: cosmetics is upstairs so you don’t have to walk through perfume land to get to the sportswear. I’m scent sensitive, so I LOVE that. And the cosmetics folks are quick and really know their business. I also adore Kathleen who is the onsite facial magician. In this era of online shopping and using actual stores as showrooms, Balliets proves why brick and mortar stores have a valid and important place in retail. There is no knowledgeable staff on .

For extreme luxury in a non pretentious place, this store is a MUST go to! They carry the high end brands that I adore, but can’t quite afford. Nanette Lepore, check! Good ol’ Jimmy Choo, check! Prada, check! DVF, check! La Mer, check! Jason Wu, check! The list just goes on and on. It’s a really impressive store and the location rocks! For all things über posh, Classen Curve is where it’s at in Oklahoma City. The arcitecture is another reason why I visit this store. They have wall to ceiling glass doors. The second story over looks the bottom floor. Just bought me a pair of Stuart Weitzman boots(with the help of the BF-LOVEHIM!) and the sweetest lady helped me with ease. I’ve visited this store three times, once in my California summer attire and the other times in nicer clothes. The staff do not judge a book by it’s cover that’s for sure! Each time I was greeted kindly with smiles. Can’t wait to see what they get in stock for the holidays!
