Braum’s Ice Cream & Dairy Stores

This place is hit or miss. Most of the time they are out of my favorite flavor ice cream. I sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes watching a woman texting on her phone and then tried to hand me my ice cream. This is very unacceptable to me. I’ve been back since but not in the drive through. I’d rather wait inline and get through faster.

Went trough the drive thru 2 days in a row for breakfast! Maybe its just me and either the lady at the first window either (a. has alot of stuff on her mind or (b. just isnt a morning person?! I dont know… anyways the person at the second window was the total opposite. Bubbly and courteous, have a great day!!! thank you for stopping by!!!. food wise… sausage egg and cheese biscuits are amazingly good! maybe the people at the second window can help the girl running the first window. I dont know.

I’m from Arizona, here in OKC for work and I wanted to try this place out. I read a lot of mixed reviews about the several locations here but I still wanted to give it a shot. I went after 8pm on a Sunday and the drive thru and walk in was very busy. I got a ¹⁄₃ lb bacon cheeseburger and I thought I ordered a Smores sundae. Whenever I go someplace new I always tell them I’ve never been there to see if they’ll suggest items or walk me through the menu. The kid wasn’t rude at all, but not overly helpful either. All the kids were pretty busy, the drink/​condiment station definitely needed to be cleaned up. It was to be expected from a fast food type chain on cleanliness and friendliness. I appreciated the fact that the bacon was crispy and not fatty and undercooked. The sundae I got was more like a rocky road but it was tasty. For less than $ 10 it wasn’t that bad. The guy at the table next to me waited over 20 min for chicken fingers! That’s not to say I’ll just keep going to Sonic!

Hot coco ice cream is the way to go. It tastes like Swiss Miss and has tiny little marshmallows speckled throughout. I also had the peppermint chocolate and it was like peppermint bark. My husband is a big fan of birthday cake, so he tried the blue concoction. It was like frosting ice cream with chunks of white cake… I hate myself for liking this.

If you are expecting great service and cleanliness then Braums is not for you. But I’ve come to have the lowest expectations from them and I guess that’s worked out pretty well because I love Braums. The burgers and fries are pretty good but holy crap, the ice cream. THE ICE CREAM. If you like ice cream there are no other options. Especially for it being so fairly priced. Just bear in mind the aforementioned «charm».

I really love Braums burgers and ice cream. I’m about to move to Hawaii and I had to get one last taste of Braums! The burger was great and there was plenty of lettuce and tomato on there unlike other burger places that give you a tiny tomato and a tiny piece of lettuce! And of course the ice cream cone I got was creamy and tasty. I got what I always get, chocolate chip! Mmm just like I remember. The only thing I would change about how they scoop there ice cream is I wish they would put some sort of mini scoop in the cone and THEN put the actual scoop on top. I have to push the ice cream down with my tongue, otherwise if eat the ball of ice cream on top and then get down to a dry cone! Fill with ice cream first Braums!

Burgers are always good. Good price for the quantity. Food is fresh & service was great. My favorite strawberry short-​cake sunday (requested with strawberry ice cream) never disappoints !

Lower your standards as well as your expectations and you should be pleasantly surprised by this family-​friendly restaurant known mainly for its ice cream treats. The prices are incredible (for those of us who live in California), but the effort to expand into burgers and fries and a small grocery store has proven to be a big distraction. Braums tends to hire real dimwits and they usually screw up even the simplest of orders. However, as I said, if you don’t expect too much, it’s good food at a very reasonable price.

My first Braum’s. Very good sundae albeit served in plastic with all plastic utensils. Obvious reminder this is a fast food joint, not an ice cream parlor to reward, relax, and end the day. Store was a little messy for 9pm with only a few customers around. I really liked the market inside… all their ice cream plus whatever else you might need to pick up before you go home without having to go to a grocery store, milk, eggs, bread, pasta, and a lot of basics. Very convenient. My only complaint was the all fluorescent lighting everywhere, I might as well eat in my garage it was so bright. No mood or ambience whatsoever.
